So I did a thing. I don't know why my themes seem to veer towards a girl trying to enter the porn industry and now this guy having dick issues.

I got no idea when I first started editing pics for this thread. Maybe a month, tops? It's because of this thread that I started learning cropping pics, adding drop shadows, etc. Pretty simple stuff. This thread is great practice and a lot of fun to pick out some characters and just go wild with them. I never thought I'd be coming in here every day or so and see what I can edit. Like photo editing skills was never something I'd thought I'd be capable of doing. Still got loads to learn and tune my skills more but...yeah, pretty special.

Keep those character pics coming, guys. Will give MS Paint some love as well some time soon.

What software are you using right now? I got a trial of photoshop and I've been looking for a good one to do before it runs out, but I'd like a permanent piece of software (preferably free)

I just use this website, been using it for my Xbox 360 meets and now my X1 meets (as a banner/signature). In the help tab there's explanation and videos on how to use the tools. It's free but you can pay to have an upgraded version. It's super simple and I'm still learning to use some tools. It's quite agile, too, opening different pics as a whole or just as a layer (I suggest using the "open layer as URL" format for edit pics as you can add the pic over the background you want and just erase/crop away instead of cropping, cutting and then pasting). I could never get into photoshop due to how overwhelming it is to new users. This website is pretty friendly but also deep if you know what you're doing. Sadly I'm just not at that point yet but I can't wait to get better at it.

As soon as you've got the most out of Photoshop, either buy it again, get a different Adobe program or get GIMP (Free).

 

I mainly use Photoshop, so I'm not very familiar with anything else, but that's all I know.

I strongly recommend Paint.net.

 

I've used that quite a bit, I'd show you some work but most are classed as racist or dicks edited in.
