How'd you manage to make me attractive?!?! HOW DO YOU DO IT?! I look like a former Prom Queen here while my actual picture I look like Miss Transgender 2003 second place winner.

 

This is my avatar now. Thank youuuu ! Except for car meet videos (of my meets), I don't think anyone has done something this nice for me. I'm really touched that you took time to stare at my ugly mug and get all the details in. I really appreciate this.

 

So I just got done working, shoveling snow for 8 straight hours. I'm really sore everywhere but I've found an itch for editing pics. I'll see about editing some old posts and some new ones, no promises though. I'm starting to like editing to the point I might start watching tutorials on how to become better (in my previous post I said I didn't want to become better, just doing this for fun - how ironic!). I've saved all pics of my character and I'll see about putting them in a spoiler tag on my profile so anyone tackling The Cougar can be immortalized.

I use this website. In the Help tab you can find video tutorials. I also went from MS Paint and I now use this. It gets some used to but I use that website for everything (car meet banners, signatures and now editing pics). It' super simple. You can't beat photoshop but for something simple and free that website is right up there.

Just added spoiler tags in my profile and corresponding names to each tag with the edited/drawn pics. Any edits/drawings of The Cougar can be seen there (always credited the artist, too!).

Just did monk's character.

When asked about his paper bag level:



I went the easy route and found a Super Saiyan hair PNG as well as the lighting is PNG. I just added both of them as a layer, resized them and I was done. The two dudes (sorry, I don't watch Dragonball Z) I just cropped out of their pics and switched them side as the right had a much bigger area so I just flipped the dudes sides as a layer. I did use the eraser tool on the left dude's shoulder as it was badly cropped and I made it look like he has an arm instead of being cut off. I then added text and a hard outer glow to give it that black outline. Super simple. Eh, could be better, to be honest, but pretty happy how this one came out.

So far anime is really simple to crop as they have hard black outlines so you can just follow them when cropping. Would recommend going for anime for any beginners like myself.

I use

 

PD Howler 10 - A nice DP package that does much more. Like animation. If you are using a mouse I highly recommend this program. If you have a graphics tablet it may be worth looking at Blackink and Open canvas 6. Still worth checking out tho. You can download a free demo via the devs website.

 

DP Animation maker - I use this to animate photos. Very easy to use. It takes longer to cut out a picture than it does to animate it.

 

Cyberlink Photo Directer 7 - Probably one of the easiest photo editing suites I have used to date.
