If I'm the driver, I park the truck in such a way that can cover my back while I shoot with a Carbine rifle.

 

If I'm a collector, I stay close to the walls & try to keep the truck behind so I'm not exposed from all directions.

 

I usually blow up the gas station before i pull up if I'm the driver so no gets blown off later.

 

That's my standard MO for it... I heard people say they park an armored kuruma at every pick up point ... But I never been with anyone who did that.

Probably the only time I ever purposely trolled a mission was when I joined randoms and was on the operators team. The other operator was very insistent on driving, so I let him. However on the last stop (the one downtown), the collectors had finished and were on the truck, while the other operator was f'ing around with killing enemies even though the objective had changed. He decides he won't let me drive and yanks me out of the truck. I slowly walk away and let the timer expire. I apologized profusely to the collectors on the mission later, but I was in a really bad mood, and just wasn't going to take the disrespect.

i've got a tip for gas station part

before the collectors grab the garbages , there's something the operator need to do :

1.blew up all gas pump to prevent chain reactions

2.you need to go one of 2 vantage point ( the LSC can be accessed by ladder while the other one can be accessed either staircase or ladder ) :

spot 1 : it's directly across the gas station & rooftop

spot 2 : it's on LSC rooftop

brucie also can be called here , but the problem is depend where the truck goes the spawn point also affected , one of them may spawn near vantage point's staircase

Heading back to Ron through the LS River can be a safer option than the roads. Just watch out for the train when you're crossing the tracks.
