New To HD GTA PC - Need Some Advice

The map editor says the minimum ScripthookVDotNet you can use is 2.5.1 which is the current version, I believe. The video is probably just outdated so who knows what's going on there. You probably already have the Visual C++ installed. Check your control panel and see if you do under programs and features. If not, then install that from Microsoft's website and you'll be good to go. SP:G, from the looks of it, hasn't been updated in a while so maybe it's buggy on the new version of DotNet. I would just try it on the most up to date version of DotNet and if it doesn't work or if it is super buggy, I would highly suggest you try out the single player apartment mod. I believe that also contains garages and it gets updated a lot.

That's what I tried. I couldn't get the other garage program to work.

So I followed the instructions for the SP Apartment mod, but I don't see the apartments on my map. I am not getting an error message, so that's good! lol But no apartments I can see.

I followed all the instructions on the site here: http://notmental.ml/all-guide-list/single-player-apartment-readme-en/

Here is what that site says:

Requirements:

Latest ScriptHookV

Latest Community Script Hook V .NET

Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 x64

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2

– INMNativeUI.dll (Included in archive)

AnimationV

– iFruitAddon (Included in archive)

Install:

1. Make sure you have all 4 Requirements Installed.

2. Extract, Drag and Drop ‘Scripts’ folder into GTAV Root Folder.

3. Enjoy.

______

Okay first, not sure if I have the Executives & Other Criminals Pack. I assume that is an automatic update? How do I check, as I am on Steam and see no DLC with that name, only Shark Cards, which is why I think it came bundled with the game which I bought a couple of weeks ago.

Second, I followed your first scenario, which is I installed ScriptHookVDotNet in my D Drive (D:/GTA Mods/ScriptHookVDotNet) and I manually added it to the mod manager. I then copied all the files from the download (the entire contents of the scripts folder) into the scripts folder in ScriptHookVDotNet's script folder. So now, the only things in the script folder in that DotNet folder are:

Single Player Apartment (Folder)

ifruitaddon.dll

INMNativeUL.dll

SinglePlayerApartment.dll

I also installed Visual C++ ........x64 and the Microsoft.NET Framework both of which were linked on that site.

Am I supposed to do something else?

You have all the updates and sh*t, no need to check.

Make sure you don't have OpenAllInteriors and SPA on at the same time as I believe they collide with one another. If it's still not working, make sure you set it up with Mod Manager correctly. You can test this by loading up your Singleplayer with the mods enabled then alt-tab and check your GTA V folder. You should see the scripts folder in there.

Ah okay! I had Open All Interiors loaded as well. So I have to choose one or the other with that mod?

Also, if I choose to load the Open Interiors, say tomorrow, will that then mean I lose all the cars in the Single Player garages I have stored cars and such in when I choose, say the next day, not to load open interiors, but instead go with the SP Apartments?

To be honest, I have no idea because I don't plan to use OpenAllInteriors or SPA until I complete V's story. I'm guessing SPA stores the data for the apartments you bought while using it somewhere so I'm sure you just simply switch Interiors and SPA in and out with ease. Don't take my word for it though. However, I think there is a way to make Interiors work with SPA. You might have to go into the config file for Interiors and f*ck around in there. I'm sorry I can't help you much on this, I'm saving a bunch of mods for when I finish the story mode :c.

Okay, I disabled the Open Interiors mod, loaded up the game, and I still have no extra properties. So I must be doing something wrong.

Edit:

Okay, on a whim, I decided to try something. Instead of trying to launch the mod from D:/GTA Mods/ScriptHookVDotNet/scripts, so that the mod manager could control this through the dedicated mod folder in the root directory of my D drive (same drive V is installed on) I followed the directions given by the mod creator, and simply copied the contents of the "script" folder the mod comes with into the actual game directory's scripts folder. That seems to have worked!

I now have what looks like 18 purchasable properties in Los Santos and will try them out after I complete all 15 Knife Edges, which I just started now after doing all 50 Jumps and all 50 Under Bridges.

Okay this is cool!

The mod definitely works now! I had to be careful about buying the properties, though. Because I wanted to make the distribution of them between the three protagonists as equal as possible and because I am lavishing in all the mods and doing only collections, Random Events, and things like Knife Edges, Under Bridges, and Jumps, I am very early in the game right now. So I had Micheal and Franklin each purchase about 1/3 of the properties and left the rest for Trevor to buy once I unlock him. I also tried to space them out for each character so I wouldn't have lol three properties on the same square block owned by the same person.

Love all the 10 car garages and the design of all the interiors of the properties!

I think that this is going to further delay my in game progression because I want to start building a huge car collection now!

I have some mod questions after the update so I figured I would just dig up this old thread of mine and post them here:

I am having trouble figuring out how to get 4K Satellite Map working without installing it directly to the actual game directory. The mod wants me to edit the files x64b.rpf and common.rpf, using OpenIV, which I did once before and it worked. However, last time, since I had no intention of playing online, I simply followed the direction on the mod page: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/satalite-view-map

This time, I am being a little more careful with the mods, in case I go online. So I tried to copy those two files into my Mods directory I created in the game directory, which worked for Colorful HUD (Weapons, Radio & Map Blips). So I created a directory called 4K Map in my Mods directory and copied the two files that mod wants me to edit over, edited them with OpenIV, so that I could leave the innate game files alone in case I go online.

This doesn't seem to work!

The only other solution I can come up with is to edit the game files using OpenIV in the main game directory, as specified in the instructions, and then, if and when I ever go online, in addition to removing all the mods with my Mod Manager, I would then have to REMEMBER to re-edit those two game files using OpenIV before going online, but that seems like a huge pain in the ass, to be honest. There must be an easier way to "toggle" that mod on and off, right?

One more thing: Since the update, I cannot seem to get LeFix Speedo to work.

All the other mods work fine. :)
