Today I played Los Santos Connection (contact mission) and Pacific Standard: Hack (heist setup).

Lots of dead npc's so I ran around grabbing cash. Nobody else did. I know it's a pathetic and small amount of $$ but that $$ also pays for my snacks and some ammo.

Sure, it's an old habit of mine that comes since my days playing GTA 3, by f*cking ho's and getting the money back.

It all adds up. But I don't go out of my way, no.

You also pick up odd snacks, which is useful.

I do yeah, I spend money freely but any way I can make a bit of extra money I will and it's just habit at this point.

Almost always. Money is king in this game and every bit helps.

Hell yes. Bread is bread, even if it comes from the dead.

Only if the sidewalk is becoming shining from all the bucks on the ground. You know, when they blip

Depends which platform I am playing on... I am getting a bit skint on PS4 as I don't have the motivation to grind as much but I keep on spending.

But I am more than happy to wait for another player to pick it all up if they want it. :)

I always pick it up. If you are maximizing your earnings per hour, and waiting to turn in missions at the four minute mark, then it doesn't hurt one bit to stop and pick it up. Finish a mission in 2 and a half minutes and sit and wait for 90 seconds at the end, or pick up money and be done with a mission in 3 minutes and wait for 60 seconds at the end. It doesn't matter, except that one way you have a couple hundred extra dollars to offset your ammo or Pegasus fee.

Yeah, but mostly when I'm hunting for cigs. I have quite an expansive collection. Ober 122 of them, last I checked, I don't plan on stopping.

Same. I have more than enough money, but it's a habit developed from previous GTAs. I see no reason not to pick up.

If it's there and I don't have to stop and turn around to get it while I'm under attack by player or other NPCs then yeah. $10 here, $27 there.. it adds up.

According to my stats, I've picked up $168.2K

It's more fun to hang around in passive while two or more players keep killing each other. I lost a Special Crate at the windmill farm to a player but he and another player got into a private war over it and I ran between their bodies in passive and collected $6,000, $500 at a time. More than I would have gotten in the crate

I don't pick up every bit of dropped change I see in the distance but I'll definitely wade through the bigger clumps of downed NPCs and pick their pockets. Good way to restock on snacks as well.

Old habits die hard, us GTA veterans been doing it for almost 15 years now ... A GTA tradition I guess.

I pick it up if it was on my way & I wasn't under a tight schedule or enemy fire.

According to my social club stats ... I've picked $305,000 from pedestrians in GTAonline lol

I never picked up any NPC money in gta v.

NPCs in San Andreas had all much more money than these cosmopolite modern city people

I do it in survivals and normally that covers the cost of the ammo I use.

I will jump out of my vehicle and pick up that $11.99 everytime.

I'm sure all that cash over the years had paid for something, the cable bill at minimum.
