some months i heard of a modder who added 20+ cars into gta v and the game eventually crashed because there wasn't enough space. Is it true that R* can't add new vehicles into the game because of the space limitations on the disc? How much room is left in the disc? In the next dlc i would like new cars, bikes etc.... i hope there's enough room

DLC content downloads to consoles, not to the disc itself.

So if you're speaking of limitations of more content being adding to the game disc, that's irrelevant because that's not how it works anyway.

You heard a modder did some work on it, then that's enough said because with modding comes alot of crashing issues....often.

If he was on PC and tried to add content to the actual disk instead of his computer, well then there's the problem in the first place.

Other than that, maybe his computer just couldn't handle the mods or memory required.

On a related note, don't call that guy a modder.

It's too good of a title if he was stupid enough to try writing new files on the game disc.

His game crashed because he installed bad mods/too many mods/etc.

It doesnt work like that. Updates are downloaded to your console/PC, not the disc.

I suggest you guys take a break from GTA V until the next DLC is released. With the abomination of a game mode that is called Rhino Hunt, there's not much to be excited about now. Unless you're grinding money or if you're like me changing car colors here and there, GTA V isn't the best game to be playing right now. I'm planning on waiting until early next month to get back on, meanwhile I've been playing the best racing game available, no it's not NFS. It's The Crew. This game is absolutely incredible. You've got a highly detailed map of the US with lots of varied terrain and cars to mess around with. The game is beautiful in all aspects, from cars to landscapes. If you're a car or race enthusiast like me, the game is a must. Can't believe I waited this long to buy it. Can someone explain to me how a billion dollar company such as R* isn't able to create a game like The Crew? I know it's all racing, but the world is enormous. The game has a much faster loading time than GTA V, you rarely ever get disconnected from Ubisofts servers the game just runs incredibly smooth. If you haven't bought the game yet, I highly recommend that you pick it up as soon as you can.

I've been bouncing back and forth. Only thing I hate is the handling physics sometimes.

to be honest, the hunter dont need a selling point, it sell itself just by the name!

knowing R* they could throw one of those short trailers showcasing part of the content and for a split second show a hunter doing a barrel roll and your would have people jizzing while screaming TAKE MONEY!!!

Well I would be first in line, just throwing my virtual money at it.

It's about the only thing that would draw me back to GTA too, that or a map expansion/other meaningful dlc.

Deep down, we all love Hunters.

I hope for more benny cars. More customization. More things to do on the water like attack boats and the aircraft carrier.

Hunter is near the bottom of my list. So your statement is false.

When did you start playing GTA V online? just aking because you seem completely oblivious to how far backwards the game has gone since release. I thinking only a recent player could see the game that way.

Backwards?

Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of negative things to say about a lot of parts of the game as well as the overall direction Rockstar took things, but I wouldn't say it has gone backwards.

I suppose I could say it hasn't gone forwards in the direction I wanted, but other than some bugs and some things that were obviously not play tested (Faction anyone?) I don't really see how it's gotten worse.

As in the game is more limited and broken than it used to be. Almost everything has been adjusted/nerfed/broken for the worse. Its still playable but its not the great freedom game it once was. On realease a lot of things didnt work 100% but rather than continue to finish the game rockstar just cuts out parts of them game. The playlist system is the prime example of where the game went very wrong compared to how it was supposed to be.

Think of all the modes, cars weapons added since launch.

It has gone forwards by a million miles in my book.

It's reached the point that I'm tired of the short lived-pointless adversary modes & minor clothes updates.

Alot of my friends are in the same boat, just no f*cking interest at all.

R* just needs to dish out new vehicles & aircraft, literally things to spend money on that can enjoyed both alone & with others.

Tired of logging in to see these 2x cash & rp events when there's nothing to spend it on.

After the first year, really the adversary/PVP modes don't have any value to me, if I want to vs. other players fairly, I'll play COD or Halo.

& even at this point, new clothing does not have a long appeal to me, need something that adds actual replay value.

A one seat super car, or new variations of old vehicles, such as a hardtop convertible Infernus would be lovely.

Or a new helicopter, one with actual uses & not some unarmed fancy named "executive" bs helicopter.

At this point I don't really care if it's the return of the Hunter, or if R* brings back the scrapped armed Swift or Frogger.

They just need to dish out a good chunk of solid content, otherwise expect The Division to steal quite a few players.

The new tank adversary mode is both embarrassing & mediocre, should not have been advertised to the extent that it has.

& to note, another 2-3 cars customizable at Benny's, eh...

You either like the cars chosen or you don't, so even such a considerably large addition is nowhere fitting for even half of the players.

For example, it got old quick in Contact Missions when so many players had the 900R & upgraded Sultan.

I want R* to remove the acceleration and top speed cap LG is gone driving musle cars at 113mph is a joke! it's just sad, once I drove cars using the Sidey Cars cheat driving cars is not fun for me I have more fun driving in Midnight club LA than V and now since a update SLIDEY CARS is totally broken and I'm not talking sliding,I'm talking fast acceleration and faster top speed pushing a Dukes to 180mph or any muscle car is a blast! there's no better feeling than that. :( oh well back to MCLA it has everything V is missing. smfh I don't understand how R* makes such a gem in 2008 then in 2013 the customization in LSC is half assed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you not been paying attention. Too much time in freeroam maybe. I could see someone that plays freeroam not noticing much change for the worse. But if you are in missions 99% of the time youve seen a lot more disasters.

I do missions all the time. The only disasters I see are randoms dying and making me pick up the slack.

I am paying attention. We can just agree to disagree.

I don't really see how anything has gone backwards. Maybe if someone preferred the old mission payouts? I mean, the missions themselves are the same as always as far as I can remember. I'm a day one player as well.

It seems to me, other than a few minor things that I disagreed with that Rockstar changed, the game has only gone forwards in terms of freedom, content, and gameplay. There is more to do now than ever before.

There is stuff that has been added I love, to be fair. No matter how much I think it needs buffing, I do love the Savage, and the Valkyrie. I also like the VIP options and being able to have bodyguards (plus I can use it to dodge everyone's insurance).

But there are also terrible things that were added. The homing launcher being a prime example. Being able to move while sniping has also sadly turned all sniping battles into just running left and right - there used to be more strategy behind sniping.

It's 50/50 for me.

Glad you've been converted. The Hunter army is growing.

Seriously? We're back to complaining about the f*cking game again? Is that all you do here is bitch & moan? Goddamn you all are sad folks.

From where I'm standing, yes, there are things that did get messed up. No denying that. But it still has the same balance it had when I first joined in March of 2014. The balance is just in different ways to help with the additions that, up to this point, we've been so graciously been given for free.

I will admit that the car system needs work, the tank needs better armor like it had in 2014, and a few more things. Also, the need to go to true dedicated servers for the core game itself. Sure there is a list of things that need to be fixed, but tell me a game that doesn't suffer from issues nowadays. R* has proven with Lowriders and E&OC that they the gloves are off and are willing and able to produce some amazing content. With the mixture of issues, still using P2P servers, and the fact that they are adding cut content since the first update in November 2013, it leads me to believe that Online is still in Beta, since more than 60% of activities are missing.

So be happy that you have early access to something that has the potential to being one of the best online multiplayer games around when they finally get done with adding just cut content and are on to bringing in true new content.

Learn to have some gratitude. Let's get back on topic now shall we?

I'm hoping for an update within the next few weeks, and it may be a big one going off the logs from steam database. A lot of qabeta changes going on. Maybe it is the other Benny's cars, not calling them lowriders because why do we need two lowrider versions of the Faction and Virgo? or maybe it is something else floating around the ether. Or maybe it is nothing and I'm just looking too much into that bit of information.

Azrael, that was a great post. Online has actually worked so well for me lately that I haven't even had any issues, but otherwise that was spot on. It's a great game that keeps me entertained constantly. I do hope that we got something new, but i am very happy with what we already have. Freemode updates have transformed it very much, and even if this isn't kind of beta phase, I do think that there is still more to come. I just wish we would get something big soon, but i am nowhere near done with GTA O just yet. If i were, i wouldn't be bitching here, i'd be playing and discussing something else.

Edit: and that freaking hunter fever is catching me, too.... I hate you, icantthinkofnew.

This game has gone waaaaaay downhill since 2014. These bullsh*t Adversary Modes doesn't help sh*t to revive this broken piece of crappy sh*t called game. C* really need to start focusing on next titles and let this game die already.

Sadly that ain't gonna happen when they are making around $240 million in shark cards per sales season.

Where did you get this information from ?

If they really make so much money from shark cards alone, I think they will put less effort and "magic" (what makes Rockstar games special) into the new games, like Red Dead, GTA VI or some other new IP.

damn online

I think it should be per year, not sales season, otherwise they'd be the biggest developer since they'd be making billions at that point. And $240M per year is pretty good, and an amazing surplus where they could make some amazing AAA titles in the future. You never know what they may have in the pipeline. And they are a much larger company so they can continue having GTA:O and still release other IPs.

@Absolut, Why thank you!

I doubt they'll stop making other games altogether and just use the profit from Shark Cards to prop up the entire company.

I was never interested in Adversary Modes, as I don't PvP. I'm a mission/car enthusiast kinda guy. I love the cars in GTA, and always look forward to new cars, regardless of whether it's taking an existing car and granting it access to Benny's, or bringing a completely new car into the game. With that being said, I don't care what they add into the game. Whatever they add will suit somebody in the vast world of GTA Online. If you PvP and enjoy the many Adversary Modes that they add, more power to you. Personally, I don't like them. The content updates are what I look forward too, as I love to enjoy thrashing a brand new car or two through the demanding roads of Los Santos, or cruising the Vinewood Boulevard in a new Lowrider.
