Tbh I don't want one massive map with all the cities combined until R* fix their servers imagine changing session or trying to load up the map. You would be there forever, it is already frustrating now.

If a map change would appear I hope this one would be made.

GTA-San-Andreas-HD.jpg

They will never connect landmasses, New City's will only come when they are in their own game first, liberty city n north yankton are possible though, id prefer LCThat is true. It would be a whole lot easier to just create an entirely new map. Plus, they'd take away from the coast if they added to the map. It's not like MC:LA. Adding to the map wouldn't work.

They could keep them separate, as in, if you drive down a highway leading to another city, it triggers a loading screen of some sort and loads that city/area, and it keeps the game from having the game to load everything at once.

Yeah, but that'll probably never happen.

Either have them connected or not connected at all. IMO? Just do a separate map with San Fierro and Las Venturas.

Also, seeing as how the Mamba made its 18-year return to GTA Online from GTA 1, we'll also need a couple of cars returning from GTA 1 and GTA 2 (the Z-Type, Panto and Furore GT) such as the following.

Cars from GTA 1:

(Vapid) Mundano

(Albany) Brigham

(Ocelot) Panther

(Enus) Regal

(Pfister) Porka

(Bravado) Vulture

(Pegassi) Counthash

Cars from GTA 2:

(Benefactor) Schmidt

(Truffade) A-Type

(Truffade) B-Type

(Grotti) Meteor

(Brute) Karma Bus

And the Royal Pain from GTA London. I mean, a golden tank would fit right in with the kind of stuff Rockstar add in these days. And nostalgia.

That won't be fun having to wait for a while for everything to load. It's unrealistic. Brings me back to the GTA 3, VC days

They could just make it a tunnel and the screen blacks out when you enter the tunnel, and once it is done loading you appear on the other end of the tunnel.

@NateAssassin I still think they can fix their servers. the crew did this already gta can do the same. However I wouldn't be upset if we can travel between the cities if it's only by plane ticket.

I just had a nightmare that Rockstar made the Rhino tank cost 0 $ for a limited time.

Hold me, GTAF.

And added some other tank types, but only in adversary modes, though.

You guys are looking at this map expansion the wrong way. The ps3/Xbox already reached their "memory capacity" a few updates ago. A full map expansion within the same instance of Los Santos just isn't possible. The ps4/xboxone already can barely handle Los Santos and are locked at 30fps. Assuming they added liberty city as an island nearby, it would require at least 25 to 50% more cpu power to render those long distance static objects alone. Also to keep track of players online with the extended map distance would require even more power.

If we ever get a map expansion, it will absolutely require a loading screen. You'll be able to choose which map you'd like to play on and they'd be two totally seperate areas. You'll still be able to call the mechanic and have him deliver cars, but liberty city would have brand new properties to purchase, potentially allowing players to have 3 more garages.(I say 3 because Liberty city is less than half the size of San andreas)

The yachts will also spawn in around liberty city just like they do in San andreas.

NOrth Yankton will absolutely never happen. It's too small and the only completed areas are areas designed specifically for the single player missions. North Yankton would need to be tripled in size in order for it to accommodate players, apartments, deathmatches, races, etc.

Liberty City is the only map I suspect we may see. I personally would rather a large map of Las ventura and surrounding areas in a large single player expansion instead. But that seems unlikely considering the dwindling player count of gtav.

Dwindling? According to R* and take two, gta online has only gained players... This Christmas was the busiest time ever for the game...

i'd drop 5million for the gold tank, only if that tank is like the old tank from 2013, you know the beast it was before all the nerfs!

If they ever add a map expansion, IMO its pretty sure it would be sold as a singleplayer DLC. With new mission maybe new characters and they would just put the new map available to travel to once your Online.

It'd be INCREDIBLY foolish if R* were to create a map expansion that not only the PC platform alone could handle, but only a fraction of those PC's beefy enough to handle it. It was one thing dropping last gen, and that's only because it was over a year outdated and could no longer handle any further additions to the game, but it would be a whole other if R* were to abandon current gen consoles and only supported one (not to mention the smallest) platform of gamers.

If a map expansion were to happen, all available platforms would be subjected to loading screens and separate maps of their own.

I don't understand this whole thing about Liberty City being the potential expansion to GTA 5, surely it would make more sense for it to be Las Venturas, especially considering all that business about casinos being added. I know there was an apparent leak about LC *supposedly* being in the works, but was that legit?

The reason is that LC is already a complete location that only requires bringing up to date in the same way GTAV has been for current gen. R* are NOT going to create, from scratch, an entire new city simply as part of a single player DLC combined with new GTA: Online location. It's just not logical at all.

The only way we'll see any other location besides LC is when R* release GTA VI, and LC will probably be the DLC that tides players over until VI actually comes out.

Because the city is interesting, desert is boring. We want more city.

If going from a city to another needs a load screen, it just a massive step backwards to the 3D era frustrating moment where you have a load screen when ever you go (almost)

I dig it as well. But if you look at the facts people have laid out. The likelihood of it being implemented that way is highly unlikely. Just gotta wait N see....

I personally hope they do it like that one island on SA-MP. Just gotta fly to the sh*t and boom whole new place.

When I am in a public lobby, which is rare, I usually go wherever there are no players, which is mostly Blaine County, or Plaleto Bay, most people are just in the city, bombing each other with Hydras and rarely ever come all the way across the map to kill me.

There are some players I've played with who never even knew that Grapeseed was a place, and no they were not level 5.

R* should just add more things to do in Blaine County/Paleto Bay, more people would most likely hang out there more.
