Pretty sure the hot fix to the 900R was temporary until the next DLC releases which contains an actual update and patches. Hope they fix the RS as well, it's speed could use some love as well as its off road traction, shame that it's supposed to be a rally car but the Kuruma is better off road. Also, it's got a weird bug where landing after a jump will make it stop working for a little bit.

I do believe in coincidences but that's no coincidence. They're planning something expensive and want to give us a chance to pad our bank accounts before they fleece them dry with either expensive cars, apartments, garages, clothes or guns. Yes, Having double GTA$ could make some existing GTA Players continue to play GTA more often but it is not really going to stop anyone who is looking to want to play another game. it is not really tempting. Okay Then, lets say a lot of players have left GTA V to play other games. R* have decided to do this Double GTA$ thing, What is the point in attracting players to acquire in game cash with all these deals if they are going to spend it on existing content, which is probably why they left in the first place. If you are thinking giving players some double GTA$ is going to bring them back from another game then you are looking at things in a very narrow way. It is almost obvious to give them the chance to build up money for the next update, it has been like this for the past couple of DLCs now.

I hate to say it, but they have pulled that crap. I doubt you will see a SP DLC and if we do, expect Online to get the cooler stuff. Now that the previous gen console development is gone, they are focusing on Online. They even said this here.

They haven't even scratched the surface as to what they can do with Online.

 

You sound 100% of what you're saying. But I can assure you you don't. For starters, you're assuming that Rockstar is turning a blind eye on Online just because it fills their pockets easily. By your logic, they should also forget their plans on developing new games as a whole. Seeing as though they're already making enough cheese from Online alone.

No. That's not how it works. Even FPS games with Online modes don't forget their SP base. You should drop that baseless argument that Rockstar won't do the same.

The reason they'd make a Single Player DLC is because GTA has always been a SP comprised game. They wouldn't just take a drastic turn and strictly pump out future titles for GTAOnline and decide that Single Player was ever a thing.

Single Player is for people who don't have friends. Suppose you do get a SP DLC? Who the f*ck you gonna show all your crap to? Lester? Amanda? Devin Weston? That's another valid point of why we keep getting Online DLCs, because we have friends, crewmates and haters that blow up our cars, aircraft and snipe us on our yachts! You SP lovers don't have that! The fun-factor Online is way greater and it draws more people to buy the game. Networking (no pun intended) is what its all about!

Actually, the first Double $ and RP for all Jobs in 2014 was in preperation for the High Life Update. Rockstar even advertised it as such on their Newswire and the Playstation Blog. If you don't believe me here's what they said:

 

"Beef up your bank balance and boost your notoriety in Grand Theft Auto Online this weekend to prepare for the new apartments, lavish cars and amenities coming in the High Life Update later this month. Starting today and ending tomorrow night at midnight Eastern, all Jobs and activities in GTA Online will earn you twice as much GTA$ and RP including:"

 

The strange thing to me is that they'd do two big double money events (VIP week and this Contact Mission week) without a major update in between. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't any event, and it ends up happening in March. (Either someone at Gamespot goofed and released the information early or someone at Rockstar goofed and sent an old version of the press release that included the Valentine Event and this contact mission event.)

Everyone is saying something big is coming because of the money, but would it really be that far fetched if it was just for Lowriders 2 considering the amount of people that complained about the price of benny's cars?
