Yep! A brick wall that can obviously see what is happening around them in the 3D universe of GTA. That's why you won't see a SP DLC. Its all about money, so keep dreaming about your boring ass SP DLC!

Single Player is for people who don't have friends. Suppose you do get a SP DLC? Who the f*ck you gonna show all your crap to? Lester? Amanda? Devin Weston? That's another valid point of why we keep getting Online DLCs, because we have friends, crewmates and haters that blow up our cars, aircraft and snipe us on our yachts! You SP lovers don't have that! The fun-factor is way greater and it draws more people to buy the game. Networking (no punt intended) is what its all about!

"Single Player is for people who dont have friends". if you say so.

So, what your saying is a valid point as to why we are getting online updates is, because we have friends and we must show all that stuff to our friends? Another crazy claim

From the looks of things your first GTA game must have been GTA V.

"From the looks of things your first GTA game must have been GTA V."

This is what you and others can't wrap your head around--gaming has changed a lot since GTA V was released. FFS, I had the original pong machine, but I'm not clamoring for that kind of entertainment.

Or there is this, which I am convinced none of you are reading (so I too will post it):

http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/09/10/how-gta-online-has-changed-rockstar-north

Straight from the horse's mouth. Not sure information gets any more reliable than this. Put away the push mower, the laundry board, shut off the beta max, and join us in the 21st century. It really is better.

And here comes the retard with his IGN link that proves nothing, right on time. Key members doesn't mean everyone on the team. Get that through your thick skull and maybe you'll be allowed to leave kindergarten.

So funmw2 was wrong about LR2 in February????

And apparently I was right when I said it was not coming this month, you know, when almost no one believed me.

BTW: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52574/enter-to-win-a-customized-liberty-city-stories-nvidia

??? Okay.

I seriously doubt there will be a LR2, because LRs was not titled, LR1.

I think fun is wrong about that.

LR2 is what it is because Dragoon found the weapons and cars in that folder. That's what Fun is referring to. The file name could be a placeholder, like how IGG was named "luxe2" I believe. It was named after the High Life file. The file name of mplowrider has probably changed by now.

This just in...February isn't over yet.

Not saying it is or is not going to happen, but it could be announced tomorrow and released Tuesday. That's exactly what happened with Executives and Other Criminals. Why is it that people who don't study the past think they can predict the future?

Please list ALL of the SP DLC's you have gotten. Jesus people. A gentle smack to the back of the head isn't enough for some of you.

I quote from this article. "Right now our focus is on GTA Online which has exceeded our expectations. We currently have all key members of the team that launched Grand Theft Auto V focused on supporting GTA Online in every capacity. The community weve been able to foster is massive, growing each day and we have so many ideas that have yet to make it into the game. The evolution of GTA Online on these newer platforms is also an exciting prospect as the power of those systems is going to allow us to achieve even more."

Keep in mind they say "Key members of their development team" are focused on GTA Online, that doesn't mean they aren't working on a SP DLC. Key members is a pretty vague statement. That could simply mean the primary development teams that have been working on GTA online from the start.

Apparently, according to at least some, only a retard would quote the game developers talking specifically about the subject at hand.

Me, I am going to the ouija board. Oh hey, look at that, 3 SP DLC's for next year. Bam!!

Yes Online is a popular trend but that doesn't mean SP is dead as to what you and your teammate is suggesting.

From that article which was posted in September 2015 (a long time ago) :

"Every key member of the team that launched Grand Theft Auto V has worked on every aspect of GTA Online..."

What is this suppose to prove?

That Quote could mean anything...

- Key Member isn't everyone

- They could have finished SP by then.

- They could have worked on a GTA Online while working on their original plans

- SP might have been stalled for the duration and could have been carried on after that interview.

In that article there is also this "we are constantly producing content for GTA Online alongside everything else we are working on"

"we wanted to create an experience that was equal in quality and detail to the efforts we had made in our single player games, and we believed players could have both without sacrificing one over the other."

You are aware that "has worked" is past tense, correct? So the way I read that, is that they have taken team members who have worked on SP and transitioned them to MP. And in fact, if you read the full article for fuller context, they talk about maintaining the integrity of SP in the online version. There is absolutely NOTHING that indicates a SP DLC is in the works. There just isn't.

I am not saying it wont' happen. I have said there have been zero SP DLC's to date and Rock Star hasn't said anything about a SP DLC that I am aware of. But, just like the "we're getting mansions crowd," people don't ascribe the ordinary meaning to words, but instead, read what they want into comments. This then results in rage sessions where people in denial scream, "but Rock Star said they were working on all phases of the game. Where is my SP DLC?"

^ That's a tad bit excessive.

How many times have you gone into a lobby and just about every kill you achieve, all you hear is the voice of an 8 year old?

He was referring to the video above your post. The one with the twin V8's. You ninja'd him, LOL.

We are getting quite a "unique" vehicle with the next dlc. Thats all I can say. Dont care if you believe me or not. Just wanted to post this now so I can link to it when it drops.

the dune loader is slow and wasnt there a rat version of this truck,i much rather there be a rat rod as thats so much cooler, plus i saw on utube that a certain mrbossftw posted a video yesterday claiming there might be dlc on the way, well we shall wait and see.

Keep eyes open on Friday. Been getting a few hints that something is coming that day. Might be false, but I'm seeing a few indicators.

May i also jump on the "play it safe" band wagon? You've all literally given no real info, simply your opinions/guesses without anything to back it up. You could either say what or why you are so confident about this, or you could continue to hide behind ambiguity and when something doesn't happen on Friday, you can let everyone forget these statements and pretend they never happened like you're already going to do.

"Who the f*ck are you going to show all your crap to?" What crap? Cars, clothes? Why would singleplayer have exclusive cars from the supposed DLC? It's about the story behind the characters dumbass, not the items. There probably wouldn't be any items in the DLC anyways, that would make the cars and clothes paid for and not free like they've always been. For your sake, I hope that 1955 isn't your birth year.

"Alongside everything else" what could that mean? SP DLC? New game?

New story, Jimmy turns out to be the legendary super saiyan.

First of all you act like a SP DLC wont bring anything to online, which would be pretty stupid if r* didn't include it in online. I mean, they would earn so much more money IF they included some sort of map expansion in a DLC like that, both in SP and online, at a premium.

Secondly, SP isn't all about buying all the most expensivest stuff and showing it off, like what online is becoming, but more story and sh*t that you can't do in online.

You are right, we simply DO NOT know, so stop acting like you know for fact that single player has been completely abandoned, when the likely answer is its being worked on. I would like to see a SP DLC as much as the next guy, but i am aware Online is currently the main focus, but that doesn't mean R* are going to abandon the wishes of a large amount of their fans, especially considering how well it will do, paid or not.

Okay, lets agree to disagree, I'm starting to sound like a broken record on repeat. R* never reveal what is really going on with their plans and we know for sure they change their plans constantly. "alongside everything else we are working on" could mean anything, but what can be taken from it is that nobody can ever say "they are too busy working on Online for a SP DLC", as this shows they are capable of working at different things at once.

There isn't anything indicating to a SP DLC because they haven't announced it (if they will). Just like the Robots People at Rockstar support like to say "we haven't announced anything about that yet please stay tuned to the newswire..."

Read carefully people.

EDIT: the "alongside everything else" is too vague. That could mean GTA VI or other games. We simply do not know.

I am not sure we disagree that much. I have never said 100% it ain't happening. But it is foolish to ignore evidence at hand--0 SP DLC's to date and no indication from Rock Star that they are working on it. While you say they don't reveal everything (which is true), in that very same article they make vague references to things in the works for Online. They could have also said something vague was in the works for SP, but did not. There remains the real possibility they will never do one for all the reasons discussed here. People need to accept that.

I will tell you what I could see--say if they ever open the Casino, I could see a joint DLC where it is available in both. But my personal opinion is that you won't see just a SP DLC. Not sure that makes much economic sense and ignores the game's trends.

I think GTA-Series knows something, if you visit their website, you will find an interesting line in their article about the new year which is "Auguriamo a tutti un felice nuovo anno all'insegna di tante ore di divertimento nella vita reale, quanto in quella virtuale per le strade di Los Santos e chissà, magari di qualche nuova città -occhiolino occhiolino." Translation: we wish you a happy new year ith many hours of fun in the real life as well as in the virtual one through the streets of Los Santos and who knows, maybe of a NEW CITY- wink wink.

They could be beta testing Liberty City? Tezfunz said that LC should be an online dlc as well as it should come out after Lowrider2

Since when did this turn into the B*tch and moan about SP thread?

Because the SP crowd doesn't understand this is a discussion about Online (see the tabs that you click on) and continue to infect us with comments about their beta max.

Okay, so why did GTA IV get two of them? Both introduced new characters, yet GTA V won't get one just to reveal what happened before the characters met each other? Players want to know what happened with Mike and Trevor when they were in North Yankton.

I would love to learn of the events that occurred prior to the events of GTA V. They do give us some back story, but not very much.

The reason they keep rolling out Online DLC is because the cost to revenue ratio is greater than it would be for a SP DLC.

Oh really? No kidding! 'Cause that totally hasn't been covered 1000 times before.

Maybe I should implement some new rules. Tired of seeing all this talk of "x is more profitable than x" it's getting old.

Well, then maybe you should get people to stop bitching about "why no info about a SP dlc? "

Because that's what my post was in response to. But those who bitch don't seem to grasp simple business economics.

And if you don't like things being repeated over and over.... then wtf is this thread all about? Because that's ALL that goes on in here... things getting repeated over and over and over

"stop acting like you know for fact that single player has been completely abandoned,"

Another guy that has reading comprehension difficulties. I said 0 DLC's to date for SP and nothing from Rock Star suggesting something was in the works. Never used the word "abandoned." Stick to using my exact language and this won't happen.
