No matter what, people will always want to play single player. Just because a lot of people don't doesn't mean everybody doesn't. There will still be people who play SP, like me.

 

Here is my problem with this--this portion of the forums is for GTA online. You want to whine about DLC for your dinosaur gaming, do it in the appropriate spot. This is about as annoying as the last genners crying about no updates. This is the direction of gaming whether the SP crowd likes it or not. Whining incessantly won't change that...

Lol sp and not online are the same thing. How is SP a "dinosaur?"

Never distinguished SP and offline. Not sure you are following the conversation. We all have different strengths. I guess reading comprehension isn't one of yours.

I don't see anyone whining about lack of SP DLC in this specific page. We are just calling you out on your borderline retarded ass post about single player gaming being on the decline.

And another who doesn't have reading comp skills. I did not say single player gaming in the industry as a whole is on the decline. My comments were related to GTA. Rock Star has gone out of their way to publish numbers for online players (still over 8 million a week for a 2 1/2 year old game). It's also why DLC is coming for online. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but at least for GTA, this IS the direction of future gaming.

Sorry I disagree, This is the Next DLC Discussion. where we talk about anything related to the Next DLC for GTA, that includes GTA SP DLC. Online is a key aspect in today's generation however its doesn't not mean in any way that it is the only way forward. I dont know if you have played old GTAs or not, but they didn't include GTAOnline and some people still play them today. GTA Online wouldn't be as good as it is, if they didn't stop updating the story mode.

 

The reason why GTA Online keeps getting updates isn't because of how many players play it. Do you think you would have still been getting these updates if people didn't buy shark cards?

You should see the comment above regarding a SP DLC. Rockstar internally discussed it and rejected doing one because of the success of GTA online (related to making them revenue). It makes zero sense to do a SP DLC, and Rockstar has said nothing about doing one for more than a year now (and before you make this all about shark cards, there is no reason shark cards couldn't be sold for you to buy things in SP as well other than the fact that no one would buy them). So, those people beating this drum belong in the same camp as the Zombie DLC folks--you just ain't getting it. But, if out of the blue Rock Star suddenly does a SP DLC, I'll be here to get my comeuppance.

What about a midnight club update?

 

R32/R34

Toyota Supra

Nissan Silvia

RX7

etc etc

 

all fully modable with multiple body kit options

 

maybe add the ability for neon flashing as well

Rockstar are a company which likes to listen to its fans here and then, so if they made a SP DLC it would be due to the demand and not about revenue. You know yourself GTA Online wouldn't be getting these updates monthly if their revenue from shark cards was low. If R* were to make a SP DLC out of the blue, will you not play it?

They could (and it could work just like it would for online). Rock Star isn't stupid--they know who is playing what and where resources are best allocated.

 

I started out SP once upon a time and changed with the times (I have no issue with people who want to play SP, I just don't want to hear about it).. All of this misses my point--when I log on here, I have to specifically click onto "gta online." What I am looking for, is discussion about "online" issues (I know, that is crazy talk). Recently I went back and double checked, and yep, there is a separate section dedicated to GTA V (which I never go to because I don't give a sh*t about SP)..

 

These boards contain some great information which is why I come here daily. But they would be much better if people would post comments where they belong and stop whining (and while there isn't a lot of whining about no SP DLC in this particular thread, it has infected many of them). This is my frustration dude.

Nice idea. I love MCLA, but it would probably only remind us how great MC cars were, and how much GTA's horrendous re-creations suck.

I'm going to stop this conversation as I feel it is not going anywhere. you still think SP is the dinosaur of gaming and i think i still want a SP DLC. but to answer your question above.

 

All my Three characters have Billions of dollars from the Stock market. What is the point of having shark cards in SP?.

GTA didn't become the series it is today through online multiplayer.

 

Do you think it'll last 3 - 5 years just tacking on piddly little updates to this game? There probably won't be a single player DLC, but there'll be a whole new single player game.

 

Shark cards have made money for now, but that won't last forever. GTA V sold so well because the GTA brand has a brilliant reputation. A reputation that is being ruined by greed and incompetence when it comes to online.

 

Once people get tired of grinding for reskinned vehicles, Rockstar will probably release a new GTA.
