Was listening to "Self Radio" last night, and there was a commercial for taking a vacation to Liberty City. Never heard that commercial before, it was about a minute or so long and they described everyone having severe mental problems and there was jazz music in the background.

 

I assume this is old news?

 

I not speak english, listen just to music. Not understand commercial.

That's quite interesting, Nick.

 

Although I've not heard that myself, it makes me wonder "IF" they ever add new cities into the game, that Los Santos will be your home city / main base, and when visiting places like LC et al, you will stay in hotels and then pay silly amounts of money for your vehicles to be shipped to whatever city you want.

 

I'm putting on my flame-retardant suit, just in case my fellow esteemed forum members decide to take offence at my comment.

I would like a mansion/ playboy DLC tho. Have the ability to own an ACTUAL mansion with like 4 bedrooms and 10 other different rooms on like 2 or 3 different stories. Maybe even throw the mini game DLC in there that I have mentioned. You could throw parties and play beer pong and darts and pool and air hockey. Just an idea.

But in all seriousness, I can't wait for GTA have NYC as a location. Even scaled down some of the key places they need to recreate are:

 

SoHo

Union Square

Herald Square

Times Square

86th Street - Lexington

Battery Park

 

That's just some ideas.

 

If they really wanna hit the nail on the head, they'll put a joke Starbucks every 4 blocks like how it really is over here.

Since now we can own 5 apartments it would be nice to own an apartment per city/map area: Los Santos/Blaine County, Libery City, San Fierro, Las Venturas and Vice City... and the Yacht would be moveable around coast areas

I cant say enough times how badly this online game needs map expansion ;_;

they can release the biggest properties in the best locations of the game and even with customization they are not worth it unkess they activities in them.

Agreed. I'm worried R* won't be up to meeting our lofty expectations though..

I agree with you guys, a new city or expansion is needed badly. R* are Brilliant I just want to see how they can implement another city or Mansions in game. I have faith in RockstarGames tho. I could definitely see them using the base of gta 4, upgrading the textures,scripts etc, and possibly making it a new city. Idk how it works but I would enjoy it and buy it if need be. I would be happy with them giving us a NEW CITY, the same amount of new contact missions, activities,Free mode events,adversary modes etc. And give us a reason to bounce from city to city by various events. But "Mansions" definitely needs something to do inside other than showering and watching tv.

I think the casino would be the best update atm, it's highly requested and could bring all kinds of cool stuff with it.

 

I don't understand why people think it will become boring after 15 minutes.

Sure if you are a freeroam warrior it will probably get boring in 15 minutes.

 

Other people might find it fun and something different to do.

I know that I would dress up nice and go to the casino just to play black jack with other players, I love black jack.

 

Everyone is talking about the money, OMGZ we have to make a lot of money or it will be boring and useless.

 

Not for me, I would be happy with a 10k maximum bet limit and a 50k maximum win limit for every real life day.

You could go in and bet your 10k in one go, win or loose then wait 24 hours.

Or you could go in and bet 50-100 dollars and play for hours and hours just for fun.

Some nice animations when at the black jack/poker/roulette table with other players and so on.

 

Also I really like the idea brought up earlier about using jp to trade for gambling chips is a super great idea.

And it actually sounds like a proper way to deal with legal issues and so on.

 

Just think of the casino as something fun to do instead of something to make big cash from.

Seriously, we have all played cards with friends irl without money involved right, and that's fun right?

Eh, let's be honest. The programming for traffic overa)l is pretty crap. It's nothing to brag about. It's almost budget game bad and was clearly an afterthought.

 

Same goes for the driving physics and collision damage system in this game. Its Saints Row bad.

I dont expect a SP Dlc before june or next december tbh. Because it would be more profitable to release it at this time. Especially if its a paid Dlc.

think about it they had 3 years to work on this DLC so it makes sense if the old thread was locked because of there test images being seen then deleted. im not saying it's coming this summer but if they had to go through all that trouble to lock that last sh*t storm then something definitely big is happening this year

that'd have to start from scratch they're using old cities because they'd just simply have to update it to there current RAGE engine and render

I would love to see Las venturas as a map expansion, it be great travelling from LS to LV and slowly seeing the desert come up in the horizon as you get closer. Plus we would finally have a decent desert and the story can be mob related or something and maybe a new casino heist.

so, recreating a 10+ year old map from scratch would be easier than creating a NEW map from scratch?

they both have to be created from the ground up anyway. it doesn't make a difference if they have made the city before or not.

we dont know for sure. some things get necro'd back into existence. similar to the EoC and lowriders update. but we'll see in due time.
