Doable with the Deluxo? Haven't even bothered with a time trial in a long time. (And sorry no I didn't go back and read the previous 23 pages)

No Deluxo or rocket bike (Oppresor) but you can use Vigilante or the Stromberg!

Only had two nights for attempts, and ofcourse I was dragged into something else.. So I ended up staying in a pre-rotation session post-rotation, so had a little extra time which was nice. Was really hoping for a sub 30s, but missed it by an inch in those good runs lol... Also had a 0.6s faster run, but OBS has crashed without me noticing it, sigh.. Also not the best line, but seems the most viable, I'll plan to try the more staight and faster line in next rotation, for hopefully a sub 30s.

That's a really good run, nice job. I'm not sure there's a better path unless you take the most direct route and get REALLY lucky with good landings. I tried the direct route a number of times and inevitably ended up taking a bad bounce and spinning out of control.

Bump for Vigilante MkII (although I don't know for sure it's allowed yet). If so then this might be the week I finally tick off my last outstanding TT.

Definitely curious if it can be used for time trials.  By pure coincidence, the first time trial I did with the Vigilante was this one, and I've done all of them since, so I just ended another complete cycle - ready for a new challenge anyway.

You can, which means all records will fall. Unless you were a god-tier Vig driver.

Spent a while bouncing about, missed to the left, missed to the right, then it went dark and started raining.

eta - Vig recharges faster, Scramjet boosts longer, according to fun.

I definitely think the Scramjet will be setting new time trial records shortly.  The recharge may be longer but it stays in the air better than the Vigilante - far better, I'm pretty sure, as a couple of times now I got all the way to the bottom of Chilliad in just a few boosts.  One time I was moving so fast and flying so far that I hit the mountain on the other side of the highway, past the target for this trial, and still had like 12 seconds left to turn around and try to beat the trial from there (unfortunately I missed!).

I did, in fact, beat this trial with the Scramjet just now, after maybe 10 attempts - a lot of which were getting used to the vehicle's feel in the air, since I really hadn't driven it before at all.  In fact I deposited it on top of the mountain with my Avenger, so I didn't even drive it up there.  All things considered, I think this thing will be wrecking records on these trials soon, in the hands of superior and experienced drivers (which I am not either).

One interesting wrinkle is that this thing seems much harder to control in the air, rotating to direct yourself before boosting.  This is the key trick to using the Vigilante on off-road trials, but the Scramjet just doesn't want to do what I'm telling it do, more often than not.  You can fake it with just the stick, but if you're expecting to hold down the bumper button and rotate, it may not work.  I'm not positive yet but bumper-rotation may not work with this car at all (if it does, it's very temperamental compared to the Vigilante, or most any car).  I found instead of relying on mid-air adjustments like I do with the Vigilante, that I was better off actually coming to a stop occasionally, lining myself up toward my next target, and then doing a jump-and-boost.  The car is so fast and flies so well that you have plenty of time to do this, unless of course your aim is making oleg (or whoever owns these records now) cry.

That Oleg run is disgusting. Hard to imagine anyone beating that by more than a stray quarter second or so, he basically goes straight from the start to the finish without stopping.

Nowhere close to Oleg... I had a few runs in the 0:33-0:35 range where I just missed the checkpoint, but I just wanted to get one decent run in with this thing, if for nothing more than just to put the music over it.

In case anyone didn't know, you can stop the SJ's boost, unlike the Vig.

Obv this knowledge has helped me greatly in conquering this tt 🤬

Olé!

For the first jump, you should hit the bush with the green circle and aim to land right of the tree in the distance (orange circle). I have marked the ideal landing spot with the purple circle. Not only does this put you in optimal position to merge back onto the path, but at least for me, it has the highest success rate in terms of staying on my bike upon landing.

I'm surprised with how well the song matched the video.

Aside from the crash into the trees at the end... yes, I am very pleased.

Me too. Obviously timed it to the first jump, but I lucked out that it worked with the rest of the run pretty well.
