Dr Labuschagne
It occurred to me as I was watching the ad for the Mercedes Benz's SLS AMG, (the one where Michael Schumacher drives a red one and pulls of a Cork screw in a tunnel). To be honest. I'm not fond of the AMG brand, however Mercedes took the time to make an ad, even though it was filled with a lot of "Hollywood" in it, but they pulled it off, and I doubt it tarnished its reputation in anyway. As I stated above I'm not a fan of AMG, but the ad left me captivated to go out and try the car, (if I had a R1.096.599 that is). That was the first ever high end Spots car ad, no not even supercar. Sports car ad I've seen in my life, as I wondered. "I have 200+ other Sports Super and Hypercars I love, but not a single one has been on TV without a car journalist hounding it with judgements For some, ads are just ads. But would you feel inspired to work your ass off just to own it one day after seeing it in the morning, minutes before switching off the tube and leave the house for work? And do you think it would make Manufacturers seem too desperate? But why don't they have TV ads?
sivispacem
People who buy £150,000 plus cars don't need them advertised. They either know what they want, or have their luxury dealer decide. *MURDOC*, Flachbau, El Dildo and 2 others 5 AMD Ryzen 5900X (4.65GHz All-Core PBO2) | Gigabye X570S Pro | 32GB G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz CL16 EK-Quantum Reflection D5 | XSPC D5 PWM | TechN/Heatkiller Blocks | HardwareLabs GTS & GTX 360 Radiators Corsair AX750 | Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic XL | EVGA GeForce RTX2080 XC @2055MHz | Sabrant Rocket Plus 1TB Sabrant Rocket 2TB | Samsung 970 Evo 1TB | 2x ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Q Acoustics 2010i | Sabaj A4
Desky
Halo cars advertise themselves, and the company as a whole. Their numbers, price tag, and desirability markets them better than any TV ad ever will.

Mark
Aye, it's also a reason as to why Audi ran that R8 V10 Plus advert for a while. It's not to advertise the R8, but Audi as a whole. I bet that ad has sold more A3s than R8s.
universetwisters
I remember when I was in high school, Maserati made an ad for the superbowl. Granted superbowl ads are usually held in high regards as far as quality and production value goes, it's still a dumb thing to advertise foreign cars on the most American of days, second to the Fourth of July./sarcasmhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmpiwU50f5w
El Dildo
the Super Bowl doesn't count, obviously. they'll do special things then. like the NSX last night. otherwise there's no reason to advertise super cars. we can't f/cking afford that sh/t. it would be like advertising caviar. HeavyDuke
Koenigsegg should make some adds. Should have done them for the One 1. Now no longer available and sold out. The all new Koenigsegg One 1! Makes the holy trinity look like a bunch of old holy old relics because its a sh*tload faster. But you can't have it, as they were already sold out before we decided to even create this commercial. Now come and glare at it at Koenigsegg.com, the ultimate hypercar, you will never own. Seriously, look at it, you can't buy it. You can however buy the less extreme version of it or pre-order the all new Regera with its 1.1/1 power ratio. Oh wait, nwm sold out to. 'End commercial'
unbid
Pretty much niche target market, luxury status, and the product itself (who can speak for itself to convince the potential buyer) are three main reasons why supercars don't need advertising. universetwisters
Sometimes, the idea of advertising supercars reminds me of when they advertise Boeing or BNSF on the TV. Like what does the average person need a freight railroad or a plane company for.

Now no longer available and sold out. yeah, you realize these cars aren't "sold" which is why they can't be advertised. this sh/t isn't sitting on the showroom floor for plebs to drool on. supercars and hypercars are essentially made to order. they f/cking invite you to buy one if you're rich and/or famous enough. it's more like a direct-mail campaign

Sounds like something someone would do alright.
