That's just it - and why I think fixating too much on 'boots with jeans' in an almost memetic way is probably going to result in ...bupkis.

 

Because you can *technically* wear the (gimmicky, oversized, strappy, brightly-coloured) cowboy boots with jeans - same with some of the other big, bulky boots that look more like wellies than fashion items. It's not at all what people actually wanted, but it 'does the job!', so R*'s clothing interns probably think they've ticked that box sufficiently, and don't need to address it again.

 

We need to be more specific - again, best thing to do is make a big f***-off list, and all of us keep asking for the same things, over and over and over, until they get sick of it and cave. People wanted the Hermes, asked for the Hermes, and they got the Hermes. Rexx made examples of catsuits, posted/tweeted them consistently, and catsuits happened. Other people in other threads wishlist about things, but in vague terms, and don't ever act on it beyond wishlisting, and ...nothing happens.

 

 

I'm currently working on a full DLC concept, which combines years' worth of common requests/complaints, from as many corners of GTAO fandom as possible - the racing community, the Snapmatic community, character customisation enthusiasts, car enthusiasts, old-school GTA fans who miss proper PvE, movie aficionados, etc., all included in one single update. The clothing part will basically be 'this thread', and so I'll need a sample list of clothes, hairstyles - so that if R* sees it, we can point them in the right direction.

The wetsuits and catsuits look actually good though. Those bodysuits look like utter crap IMO, it's just like R* applied a base texture onto the skin and removed the nipples. That's not how wetsuits nor catsuits look in real life, they're not literally skin tight.

The wetsuits and catsuits look actually good though. Those bodysuits look like utter crap IMO, it's just like R* applied a base texture onto the skin and removed the nipples. That's not how wetsuits nor catsuits look in real life, they're not literally skin tight. Latex catsuit are actually pretty form fitting and my scuba suit fits much nicer than any found in game. I agree with the overly basic textures on these bodysuits, hence asking for a retexture, but the scuba suits and catsuits are all in 2 pieces with the torso overlapping the bottoms. That's not how wetsuits work. You don't get that with the tron suits, those dumb light-up suits, or these new festive surprise bodysuits. The wetsuits look ok on male characters, but they still have the weird, unnecessary waist. Just look at the wetsuits I posted above. Notice the waists? No overlap or "scrunched up" clothing. Notice, specifically, how close the suits are to the skin? Also of note, nobody has a mans chest muscle structure etched into them. I think these bodysuit models or something closer to them would be better. If they could take this bodysuit model, make it a zip down front with a slightly popped collar, that would be just perfect for me. As for catsuits not being skin tight, they can certainly come close

If the catsuits looked like that I would probably hate them tbh, just a bit too close to what you would find in your average sex shop. Not to mention all the noise that latex would make..not so good for stealth

It is really lazy that R* reused the male wetsuit for women though. I just think that the new holiday bodysuits are actually probably the worst clothing added to the game and it's really actually a blessing they're mostly gonna be removed after Christmas ends because it truly looks like someone's first attempt at a clothing mod, so alarm bells went off in my head when I saw 'give us more like this'.

Pretty sure it's the same basic clothing model as the tron suits and weirdo black body suits. I can agree the Xmas ones are hideous but at least the fit they character more closely, and that's what I'm looking at, not the solid, textureless colors. To each their own I guess.

Okay so i'm into kink and all that and I have a bunch of friends in the whole fetish scene too, which means I have more knowledge than I probably should about this stuff, so i'm all for the latex...

 

HOWEVER...

 

I completely understand, and agree, to go with a more tactical looking design in GTAOnline, it just fits the overall aesthetic within the world more while still having that femme fatale, vaguely sexy edge. If it was latex, that takes it too far into Catwoman or dominatrix territory, which is superhero and kinky respectively, and while people can shout and scream all they like, this game isn't quite Saints Row just yet!

Meanwhile, the new bodysuits are barely above just taking basic character bodies, and 'painting' them in block colours - almost like how some certain comicbook artists don't bother trying to make their characters look like they're wearing a skin-tight suit, and basically just draw naked characters (sans bits and bobs), and then just let the colourist maintain any pretense that the character is even clothed...

Yeah... Looking at the post above, they really seem painted on - especially if, like in the image, the character has just dipped in water. Maybe some more detail put into the suits would have worked better, I might say, which is why I am glad the real catsuits actually had work put in them. Now those look sexy.

 

Adding some more into the suggestion pool, besides the removal of many unnecessary restrictions, more boots (that go over the knees and pants, preferably), and more accurate depictions of black and colours that match, here are a few ideas that may be a bit more niche than usual:

It looks all saggy at the back, the cropped jeans specifically although the regularjeans could use a graphics upgrade.

 

I wonder how much gigs a "quality of life update" would be if they reformed most of rhe current clothing since launch...

 

I find it annoying when they mix up "charcoal" and black. Sometimes thijgs are pitch black like the leather jeans... Then light black deep grey like a cat suit.

 

Also makes me want a colour slider so we can choose.

 

Im hoping RDR 2 is a big improvement character wise. Things like this rank #1 on my list before I pick up a game.

I didn't want catsuits, and in my opinion they don't look very good. If you wanted them at least you got something you wanted.

 

As much as possible I have my character wear things I might wear. Yes that means I won't wear a catsuit, or most of the clothes in GTAO, at least not the stuff we can buy.
