Dear r* (regarding overall female clothing choices)

I just changed the shoes of the catsuit, so if anyone said that you can't mix and match, you can.

Sadly, the Flight Boots - my favorites - aren't compatible. Thanks Rockstar.

I share your thoughts about the recent overabundance of military gear and I too would like some different clothing once in a while. I'm still yet to post about some ideas, mostly due to the lack of time.

However, I must say that the clothing added today, at least by perusing the video you linked, Commander, seems to have been designed with much more thought and attention in mind. From what I am seeing here, some textures are really crisp. This helps what could have been forgettable clothing look much more appealing and I'm already considering some of these for outfits.

I would say that your efforts in better texture quality for clothing seem to be bearing their first fruits. That's commendable and I'm very appreciative of it. Big thumbs up.

Speaks for itself really. Said in the other thread, but may as well brag about it here; the certain touches they've taken from my designs such as the holster, belt and zipper down a little.

I'm gonna shut up now before I start getting on peoples nerves

Overall, the clothing was decent.

I think they listened in terms of quality. Hopefully, a hipsters update is around the corner . . . Like I tell Commander S all the time, its been a couple months since we sent in our recommendations. I wonder if they'll come to fruition.

My only gripe is the catsuit not having different bandoliers and harnesses.

What I would like to see next up is ....

Bell-bottom pants. They had em in GTA IV.

CA1xvgX.png

"Helmet hair" or a bouffant, since long hair isn't really an option apparently. Yes yes, but Tracey Turnblad is a perfect example . . . and that this style would fit with my outfits. :/

3a5a29035715cff6082cadc727363af1.jpg

Hair like Marilyn Monroe's?

Like I always say, different styles of ray-bans. (Round, Browline, Wayfarer) not just in shades, but in 'eyeglasses' style too.

Vintage "A-Line" dresses

6086685842_eb67a4a5e7_b.jpg

All the clothes in this line up here that I posted elsewhere a few weeks back.

-Pocket dresses from the mid-late sixties, they have the striped suits already . . . but you get the drift, more 'MOD' stuff. Since R* has a lot of british influence, it 'should' be a given. More skinny tie designs, pocketsquares in suits, so on and so forth.

_54303090_6f813c17-ffaf-46eb-b547-774b5c

Polka-dot dresses . . . So on and so forth. To me, hipster also includes the affinity for vintage as well as the quintessential 2010's plaid wearing, starbucks regular-types. Among other subgenre's like people who drive imports.

While I am happy Catsuits have finally come out

...why are they exclusive to female characters?

I'm certain my male character would rock a catsuit better than my female

Maybe because I didn't design males ones?:whistle:

Sure they may come along sometime. After all, they have stated more updates are to come!

Edit: In fact, it may come along in February as a Gimp suit if they plan on doing another Valentines DLC.

Anyone else looking at that colour scheme and thinking "Wanda Wilson/Lady Deadpool" - ? ;)

(I imagine a certain notorious forum member is having some very complicated thoughts right now... :p)

That's another thing - not only is it the most encouraging sign that someone finally managed to get through to them (well done, Rexx!), but also ...hey - R* finally did some non-unisex clothing items for the first time in ages... :rol:

Because if they're going to do more 'fashion' stuff, they're going to need to do unique things - GTAO not being Saints Row, I don't see them saying "screw it - dresses for everyone, because

", so they're going to be for female characters only. Or, yanno, not at all. :turn:

Couple that in with pretty definitive confirmation that this isn't the last update just yet, and ...I reckon we need to make a list of must-haves (and check it twice! :santa:), then ...SPAM THE EVER-LOVIN' SHIZNIT OUT OF R* EVERY WEEK, MONTH, WHENEVER. Aim past the March filler update, and look towards June's first big thing of 2018 (I know - half a freakin' year away...). They're probably committing to next year's plans right about ...a fortnight ago, but as for what they end up doing, that's probably the subject of January's staff meetings. So if enough people just keep asking and suggesting things right up until New Year (and don't stop then!), it might tip the balance as to what they prioritise.

Again, catsuits got the ball rolling - time to keep shoving it even more, eh? ;)

Annnnnd i'm never taking this off.

I have wanted catsuits longer than I can remember, but i was never vocal about it like Rexx was, so THANK YOU for shouting at them long enough that they took notice! :p

My femme fatale/badass bitch is finally complete!

Oh and trust me, many photos are on their way!

Lol r* doesn't like it when ppl call them out negative on their stuff they do to online.

Guess I might be banned since I called them out on the clothing and there's a article because of my liltle lovely thread. Which r* saw no doubt and saw that how many views this thing has.

Eh go Ahead r* you know I'm right anyway.

Let me say this right up front, so happy they finally added scuba gear. I am thrilled. But, it's also a prime example of why they need to design clothes specifically for the individual character models. All the wetsuits literally have a man's torso shaded into them. There is a pectoral crease running through my female characters breasts with ribcage shading completely off from where it should be. On top of that, all wetsuits look 2 sizes too big on females, all saggy yet bulky. I know R* obviously took on catsuits instead, so I can't really be that dissapointed as they look...ok enough for me to wear. I guess I just wish these clothes were a bit more form fitting and one piece. I say thank you R*, but now I want more. If we could use our scuba gear with regular swimsuits, that'd be cool too. Beach Bum 2 maybe?7BueWcf.jpg

^^This stuff, add this stuff R*

Can anyone figure a way to create the outfits we use in the heists? I can't seem to equip a long sleeve top underneath the new combat tactical vests. Only sweaters (old combat team sweaters) and turtlenecks seem to work. Yet I see the combat tops and tactical tops, even the catsuit be worn underneath the preset heist outfits.

Am I missing something here to do to equip an new armour vest and combat tops?

EDIT this is for women characters BTW.

Rockstar usually create pre-made outfits with incompatible combinations. Has been like this since the original heists and then moved on into adversary modes, CEO, VIP and MC President Styles, MOC Missions and recently the new heists.

Why they do it, who knows. It is extremely annoying though.

Yeah another one of those things. Like females can equip bodyguard vests on horrible suit jackets for god knows why and equip visible body armour on the tactical tops and males can't.

Oh well. The catsuit is the main thing anyways :)

Well, the doomsday heist update was everything i feared it would be. I do hope that the people who like that sort of thing enjoy it, tho.

In the meantime, at least the female characters got an almost skintight catsuit. That's gotta count for something, right? Right?

Yep - it's basically the third part of the '2017 Trilogy of Doom', after Gunrunning and Smuggler's Run (and with Import/Export as the prologue, come to think of it - good grief, we've been enduring this for well over a year, non-stop... :facedesk:).

And the worst part is that as good as the (drip-fed, because of course... :rol:) Hipster 2 cars are, because R* decided to scrap it as a stand-alone update, and fold the cars into Doomsday Heist instead, we lost the opportunity to have equally-good Hipster 2 clothing as well.

Still going to have a proper crack at a Midnight Club (tuners/muscle/etc.) concept push ASAP, particularly now that it's confirmed that R* isn't ending updates this year - and I reckon that it wouldn't be a bad place to include some regular, varied clothes/hairdos/etc. Either that, or since R*'s trying to make good use of all the WIP/cut content, a Nightlife/TBoGT-ish thing, with Bahama Mamas West. That we've still to have either kind of thing, but we've had an entire year of weaponised gimmicks and public Freemode armageddon, is just - I can't even...

Having had a look, I've got to admit, sadly not. Not just the lazy copy-paste job with the scuba outfits, but there's also the issue that everything that re-uses the camo and whatever prints from Import/Export, Gunrunning, and Smuggler's Run inherits the same compression issues as those items.

Frankly, R* just needs to retire those textures completely - although I guess if a lot of that stuff was originally meant to be for Gunrunning 2, then it was probably created ages ago, anyway.

But in general, I'm in two minds: it'd be really good to get some better clothes, but on the other hand, I don't have faith that the bods at R* currently in charge of doing so can pull it off. At least with the cars, the standard has improved enough that they could take a stab at a Supra, and deliver something impressive. With clothes, we've no sign of things turning around. :/ Maybe the Xmas stuff on Tuesday might indicate whether things have gotten better more recently (since those probably got made later down the pipeline), or still have the same problems.

Oh, and on a different note, this rankled me, for several reasons:

fiRHy0n.png

For starters, don't try sucking up to me making macrotransactions more 'tempting' - maybe add more stuff worth buying first, eh? For instance, that dress would be pretty neat to have in GTAO, wouldn't it? Same with the hairdo, accessories, etc. - how about putting some of those in GTAO, and then try and convince me to stump up my hard earned cash... :sigh:
