Dear r* (regarding overall female clothing choices)

Tanks are ok. Glitched the logo off the black one and it looks 10 times better. Wish they'd add plain ones... cos' you know a Jolly Roger is sooooooo popular.

I actually really dig the skull and crossbones, lol. At the very least, you'd think they'd use the female tank top model already in-game. I dont know enough about game development to understand what kind of time and money is being saved by using the same clothing for both genders, but its getting pretty ridiculous. So, R* if you're reading, please stop cutting corners on the clothes. I really wouldn't mind some sort of femme fatale dlc with basically everything suggested in this thread.

Welp. Sort happy about the bomber jackets at first that they came in both a open and closed variant but good god the texture job is atrocious.

 

Can't say I feel the tank tops either.

What's wrong with the classic tank top model? Y'know the one that came with the base game and not DLC.

Why can't they use that instead?

 

The boots were outrageously bad and the tattoos were disappointing.

So that's three things I've posted in here that have made it into the game, slowly, but still made it.

 

Alpha Industries style bomber jackets (with a Supreme/Bigness sleeve tag though??) Parka jackets (but no fur hoods) and Timberland or similar type boots.

Once again, the only silver lining to this particular cloud is that maybe R*'s QA folk didn't get time to sort out the texture issues, and so they're still recycling the same garbage prints from the likes of Import/Export and Gunrunning.

Times like this, I start to wonder if it's not a blessing in disguise that R* hasn't bothered doing decent fashion options yet - because at least they've not had a chance to butcher them in the process...

I have to say this update is a definite improvement over Gunrunning in terms of clothing, but still nowhere near the requirements for proper female fashion. I like the boots because they remind me of Timberland's which go well with Country, Street and Winter outfits. The bomber jackets too are nice since they are quite popular where I live with both men and women. Fur leather jackets as well as tank tops are also appreciated seeing as they aren't more rehashed military crap (Which 90% of this updates clothing is focused on).

The clothing that came with the smuggler's run dlc is so disappointing. More of the same bulky, misshapen pieces with the same ugly patterns as last dlc. and what's with the headscarves? I mean seriously?

Now more than ever I think we should be speaking up about the feeble attempts R* makes at giving their players the kinds and styles of clothing that they REALLY want.

 

I have already made a clothing/hairstyle/accessory petition, and for those of you that have signed it, I thank you.

 

Please give it a read, sign it if you wish and pass it along/share it on social media. It doesn't include ALL the issues regarding the above mentioned areas, but at least it's a start.

As I said... Im down for a multi page or multi word manifesto. Lmao, manifesto.

 

We got an article. But Im not sure like what Commander said, these DLCs are worked on beforehand.

 

You're right, words cant describe how we have sh*tty desert hoods and Vietnam helmets and a whole bunch of useless parkas etc.

 

The shirts we got were good for my male character, but as I said before, I wish they...erm, feminized it, and then ported over?? Unless you're a tomboy, I never see girls wearing shirts like that, usually always fitting to the body and tucked.

 

As I said, I thiiiink we need more action and less talk, but what action to take?

 

I say a number of people do a one paragraph rant, put it together, ship it off.

At this rate it looks dismal. But, yeah... i've been wanting this since i've been playing on PS3. I'm a designer, so i take my sweet, fat time with clothing and outfits. I have two characters. One male, one female. And holy crap, is it awful for the ladies. Mixing and matching if you wanna look like a tough cholo chick? Great! Mixing and matching in general...? Oh, boy...I tried putting on flight boots on some pair of pants (forgot the name) NOPE! Doesn't work.

And that's only a tiny example of the many problems. Certain clothing combinations, though. That problem needs to end, already. It's long overdue. It's way, way too limiting. APB was an incredible game in terms of customization and i hope Rockstar use that level of customization in GTA's future. Tucking, untucking. Phenomenal. Wearing pants over or under boots. Great stuff.

No. Compare the new tops with the first tank tops we got and then the sports tops and you'll see how the shape is the same as the latter. 2017 and we still don't have a regular black or white tank top.

 

i think that women have enough clothing selections, this isnt grand theft barbie, male avatars have like 3 options for clothes: pants, shirt, hat and then accessories, female avatars have f*cking high heels and hoop earings and cardigans and all sorts of pretentious sh*t, it's not right for the ambience of the game, if anything they should strip back the female clothing options because in this case, less really is more

 

Yeah, because 20 flight suits and all that military gear (sh*t gear at that) fits soooo well on GTA. Piss off
