I'm actually not satisfied with my "hood gangsta" clothes

 

Rockstar just took Franklin's baggy t-shirt model and put it on the male character's body (i would've preferred to have the baggy t-shirt that NPC's have with sleeves that go past the elbow also with more colors and logos from multiple sport teams) We also got baggy jeans in crappy colors like the black ones that aren't even black, we could've gotten fitted caps worn backwards like the NPC's and a lot more but Rockstar logic.

 

Even though i don't feel satisfied with my bullsh*t i think female characters need their DLC too so i support y'all!

Wouldn't hurt to include 'more hairstyle variety', too - or words to that effect.

 

Good job, though - and yeah, maybe now's the time to start getting active. I'd kinda gotten so frustrated and nihilistic about the whole thing that I'd given up - I'm on yet another break from GTAO at the moment, because Gunrunning just killed my enthusiasm dead. With the recent announcement, though, I'm starting to wonder if nagging the ever-lovin' sheet out of R* might just be worth it again...

Well, by that logic (and I don't necessarily think you're wrong!), it's less 'nag R*', and 'don't expect anything from future R* titles'...

 

I don't have high hopes that 'Red Dead Online' (or whatever the multiplayer component of RDR2 is) will have particularly decent character customisation, or character variety - seems R* is completely oblivious to the many players who appreciate creativity, personalisation, and 'enjoy it your way' when it comes to their online gameplay experience, and so puts all that right down a the bottom of their priorities list.

 

 

But eh, while they're still pumping out updates, then there's still a shot, right? Even if they just add a couple of new item models, and then put out a dozen colour variations on each, that's still better than nothing, at the very least...

Alright, i have updated/changed the petition to include males, and to include hairstyles. not many changes, since i can't include every single thing that we all wish, want and hope will be changed, but enough to show that it's not just clothing, and it's not just the females.

In fairness, it's not that long after Gunrunning, and not really the kind of update to deliver decent clothing. I just want to see the state of the textures on the new racing suits - the old ones were pretty good (the motorsports ones, at least), and they're the same base asset, so in theory they shouldn't have gotten worse, right? The new tank tops aren't too bad, and I'm kind of half n half with the bomber jackets. Everything else in tops is either just a reskin or a slightly modified, horribly textured, ill fitted mess imo.

 

An update that focuses on "smaller" things would be great.(If they actually put some thought and care into making nice things.) Clothing always feels like a last minute thought/rush. Nothing ever fits and it usually looks boxy and ugly, I just want something cute that fits.

Exactly - there's no way they could have gotten all those things done and ready in the time between Gunrunning coming out and now. Gunrunning took the best part of 6 months to develop - I suspect that the reason for no air vehicles then was to partition them off for this as a loose follow-up (after all, how long ago were people first hinting at Smuggler's Run as the theme?).

 

Meanwhile, the only stuff they've hinted at for future release is stuff locked in this current update (the Halloween stuff, plus the new multi-vehicle racing thing) - and the drip-feed is set to last until mid-November at this rate, and we normally don't get an end of year update until early December. That's almost four months - more realistic time for them to come up with something more fundamentally new, and respond to feedback.

 

 

I'm going to start spamming the living daylights out of their e-mail thing again, and I guess that's probably the best thing to do in general: just make some effing noise. I dunno if I've got the enthusiasm left to get something more thorough done, but for various reasons, I get the impression that they're increasingly trying to go for 'crowd-pleasing' and 'wishlist' stuff. If enough people kick up enough of a fuss, that might just bump this up their priorities list - and unlike 'Liberty City plz!' or 'open the casino!', better clothing options is at least something that doesn't require them reinventing the proverbial wheel to make it happen!

I'd have thought that a simple clothing update wouldn't be much effort - but it seems there's more attention put on masks than every other clothing item, which smacks of crowd pleasing.

 

I think that's the approach now, to be honest. GTAO players are given more contextually-irrelevant supercars that look like existing ones (there's even one in SR for f*ck's sake), more military content, more bland swag, more forgettable Adversary Modes. There's got to be a finite amount of this sh*t they can shovel. But the general attitude from players toward this type of content seems to be overwhelmingly positive, which indicates it'll be more of the same low-risk, low-maintenance content in future.

 

Don't let up Shep - Keep at them and who knows, maybe we can have some watered-down, half-baked, drip-fed equivalent to what we truly want from this game in future too.

I guess being a bit more optimistic about possible future installments would be much better than expecting anything super fashionable in an update like this. Here's to hoping that Rockstar is currently working or will work on something other than "The Great War of Los Santos."

The only reason I even start up GTAO anymore after a new update is to check out the new clothes, aaaaaand I'm disappointed yet again, not that I'm really surprised. The texture quality is mostly crap as always and clothes still don't fit right on females. I'm so happy about the huge expansion for XCOM 2 that came out today, it's a damn turn based game about killing aliens, more or less, and it still has better character customization than GTAO So I know what I'll be playing today.
