^ They've just screwed up a handful of things across the board. Again. :rol:

Still waiting if they'll ever fix the thing that causes left headlight beams to not reach as far as the ones on the right - that's been in the game since ...Import/Export, IIRC. Even affects single-player...

I might send another ticket to Support, then, covering both the highlights thing and the 'weird painted-on hairline' thing - and just keep repeating the point until they pass it on to the QA peeps. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lately I'm seeing a lot of girls wearing their shirt around their waist, looks hot imho and would love to see it ingame...

Too femmine for r* they don't believe in women. How ever they seems to have a hard on for butch girls.

Also r* coding team would have a night mare with that cause you know it's layering something that's non existent to r*

What's up with this dress? The upper part looks like the dress from the hipster update.

Seems like a mod, the texture doesn't exist in game as far as I know and the cut is off is too good for it to be a glitch of some sort.

Whoever did that mod should get their ass into R* HQ asap.

Yeah, the texture's a mod, according to the person behind it. But it looks like a mesh file. Maybe the texture somehow affected the lower part to make it invisible.

Speaking of dresses:

You can make parts of clothes invisible if you make changes to the alpha transparency of the normal map. But that's a rather dirty hack because some game engines don't make it a 100% invisible under different lighting conditions.

Also the blue heels don't fit :beerhat:

What really bugs me about dresses is that we already have the flapper/hipster ones, so adding different, more contemporary ones wouldn't be any more complicated than items added to the game three friggin' years ago... :turn:

There's no additional issues with clipping, layering, etc., or walking animations (otherwise skirts would also be an issue - and we've had those in GTAO since launch, too). Literally zero reason why R* can't, so it's perplexing/frustrating that they still haven't.

That's why the ideal update theme would be something centred around nightlife, nightclubs, or even just 'stylish stuff' (maybe a Vinewood celebrity-ish thing) - again, there's NPC clothing in The Ballad of Gay Tony that's a perfect example of what R* could do:

maxresdefault.jpg

6654-gta-the-ballad-of-gay-tony.jpg

Outside of GTA, other sandbox crime games have some great examples of what could be added - mentioned this aaages ago, but Sleeping Dogs has a few TBoGT-ish aspects, and does a similar good job when it comes to kitting out the more trendy, fashion-conscious NPCs:

maxresdefault.jpg

(ignore the fact that Wei Shen's dressed as a shiny metal Shaolin warrior - most of the DLC bonus outfits are movie references, so ...yeah, just roll with it... :colgate:)

Nope, only multiple pairs of overalls. Dressing normal is unheard of.

I'll model after your mentality and hope that the next updates carry their weight. I say it all the time, I know, but don't you think when you look at those pictures, GTA V should already have them in? Vinewood . . . high class, stilt houses, etc etc? Its almost a given.

There's no effort. Look at those hairstyles, etc. Stop cranking out old stuff and focus on something new. The past 3 or 4 updates were the same exact premise.

Open up the casino, open up the night clubs, make it so that people make make GTA V mini machinimas and put them in the movie theatres and have a competition to which is best.

. . . FFS, all you need to do is THINK. Unfortunately, theres no other game that gives us this freedom that's wildly popular like GTA, so I continue to play and support.

The frustrating thing being, as someone who's ...basically right at the middle of that particular Venn diagram, I could easily see a 'Midnight Club Update' cover BOTH, in one go. :dontgetit:

FFS, R* - what are the odds that whatever comes out next manages to deliver? At this rate, I'm thinking 'slim' - and with each update that comes out, we get closer and closer to whatever day R* suddenly decides 'right, that's it - no more updates'... I despair to think of that day coming, and all this still hasn't been added - if that happens, then GTAO's basically an unfinished game, in my view. :/

Seeing all the great work, no, better than r* work that these modders are doing makes me hope for a sort of "creation club" for the next gtao.

Maybe some WW2 bomber jacket inspired stuff? Y'know the big brown ones with the fur?

Would be sort of nice.

Y'know, I wish we had more accessories. Rings. Necklaces that don't go so far down.

I would love just something simple like a tiny gold chain. Or a cross. You get the idea.

Actual earrings that ain't massive hoops.

And not studs.

Somewhere inbetween.

AND BELTS.

PROPER BELTS!

All these belt-less trousers I'm surprised don't fall off by themselves.

I would love to use some varsity jackets that were open.

I mean. Denim and leather jackets are open and work fine.

Why doesn't the varsity jackets have that ability? Males jackets do.

Are boobs really that frightening?

I would also like a bandana that doesn't look like a headscarf.

At least allow me to change the colour on the one that comes with the haircut.

Regardless of what we get with this update, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say 90% of the clothing is copy and paste.

Eeeh, clothing will be just what's leftover of the GR stuff.

Maybe some new masks like so:

KLGOo8k.jpg

And rest military gear.

^ Those are some cool tattoos though...

Im actually quite interested in the flight helmets with night vision. Guess Rockstar got pissed off with us glitching them.

Well you know... if they'd done it in the first place...

If they gave us pin up clothes to go with the theme of the planes then it would be a success considering all the flops in the past.

We didn't even get anything for the summer but heavy jackets and coats lol.

Well, after seeing the latest hot mess trailer from R* I think I'm done hoping for anything that isn't centered around PvP, adolescent fronting and bombastic combat in the future.

This genre leader has devolved into an also-ran for mindless military mayhem. Good job R*.

No way clothes are gonna suck this time after all the period that passed since the kotaku article, right? right?

The big litmus test this time around: have they at least done something about the textures - ? Spent a week going back and forth over it (see a few pages back), and they said they passed the info on to their QA people.

Time to find out whether that amounted to anything, or just yet another fob off... :sigh:

And I'm starting to wonder what exactly gets through their thick skulls when it comes to feedback - for example, does spamming all and sundry with 'HUNTER HUNTER HUNTER!' actually achieve results, or is it just because they had the The Simian model to hand, and figured it'd be easy enough to polish up?

Likewise, it's now debatable whether Bikers was something they'd planned well before the petition, or something cobbled together in response to it - if it's the former, then it calls into question whether they even bother paying attention to anything like that. After all, things like 'Tuners & Outlaws' (:rol:) got a lot of traction a year ago, and that's amounted to nothing - so it's completely unknown (and likely unknowable) just what actually has any effect on R*, if anything. :dontgetit:
