Dear r* (regarding overall female clothing choices)

There's already plenty of stuff aimed at teenage boys - I don't think it would hurt to branch out to females and give some stuff that's aimed at them.

 

Why so serious? Not everything is sexist or racist, etc. Some things just are what they are. No need to be so politically correct.

There were updates for people who want military items, people who want suits, for hipsters, for Americans as well and more. But an update for women... sexism? You're telling others not to get triggered, but I believe a certain someone already did, since you're the one pulling the sexism card. Having said that, it would be unfair for female characters alone to get new items and for men to get nothing. However, and this may or may not come off as me being slightly triggered now, it's easy to notice that throughout the updates, women are put in the second place when it comes to clothing. Pretty much every update but the V-day one (which is one of the reasons I'm excited to see it again) is clearly orientated towards men, clothing wise. Generally an update is focused on male clothing, after which women get a simple female version of that same set of clothing, instead of clothing that's more fitting for and wanted by women. Ultimately, we'd get an update with completely different clothing for each respective gender, rather than the same clothing with a male and female version. If they stick with the latter, usually one of the genders is going to be subordinated. We need more male- and female-specific clothing, no more genderless stuff. This way, both parties will be better off and living happily ever after with clothing that fits them better and is more wanted by their gender

1. Ripped Jeans.

2. Long hair. from

3. facial peircings. (nose, lip, eyebrow, ect.)

4. Rings.

5. more "ethnic" hairstyles.

Lots of people in this thread want male clothes. I would be fine with more clothes in general. But it's obvious that female clothes just have less work put into them in this game.

Anyway I'm not being sexist or ect I'm just stating a fact that the female clothing department have been over looked for sometime now. Last good thing that was good only for us is pea coats and leggings. That's it.

This is GTA. not the sims.

Saints row isn't the sims and look at there Character customization. hell even after the drown grade saints row 3 got from saints row 2 had it still sh*ts on gta as a whole

More clothes for all characters would be great, the ability to customise even futher. Sure a load aren't worried and that's fine too, but for those who would like it, it'll be a great forwards move!

As a guy who usually plays female character. I'm with the op we could really have better choices with clothes. If saints row can do it. I don't see why gta online can't do it. Same with the long hair.

I support the op. Now some of the stuff they are asking for is a bit ridiculous. But majority of it is not to bad.

Better to set the standards high than potentially underestimate what Rockstar can do. Sure, some of it looks like it could take some effort to get working, but that's why the game's made by an AAA developer - so they have the funds and tools to surpass people's expectations and give more than we thought was possible.

 

I remember back when the PS4/Xbox One released, a lot of people excused the lack of backwards compatibility as it was "probably impossible". Sometimes it's best to leave that side of things to the companies/developers, and just dream big.
