This is why I think player designed clothes would be great for the game.

Look at that, I wish we had a yesteryear DLC or something for that outfit and that car. It's something about that time period that screams classy.

.. Idk man, everything is about crappy hyper cars and drift cars, nothing else. Hopefully the trend changes :/

Look at that car though, and that outfit. -_________________-

If we were to get a car like this, it could be the "Broadway" from SA, or the Hermes.

Yeah they should add proper dresses including a lbd.

For some reason the missus finds it hilarious I know what that means.

...welp. :dontgetit:

I was kinda hoping we'd get a small 'Cunning Stunts 2' tomorrow, a separate bunch of 'GTA Anniversary' stuff (which'd be a perfect time to add some new clothing and whatnot), and then ...ehh, the gun-running thing, which is the next big update, and isn't exactly the likeliest of updates to include any decent fashion items. :rol:

As it is, it's looking more like 'Cunning Stunts 2' is everything that isn't the gun-running thing, and I really don't expect R* to do anything clothing-wise - at best, new colours of racing suits/helmets, while at worst, nothing.

I have a horrible sneaking suspicion that it'll be more stuff like this:

grw-gamescom-screenshot-1920x1080-j-2900

Which ...look, I don't begrudge anyone who wants that. But yet again, it's R* leaving a great big empty void where things like everyday cars, everyday fashion, regular civilian-grade stuff of all stripes, etc. should be, in favour of more gimmicky stuff - probably because it's less 'marketable' than military stuff, biker stuff, or Bieber-wannabe stuff. :rol:

^As long as we get some kind of weapon holsters, I will personally fly to RockstarGames' office and give a big wet (and long) kiss to whoever added them.

I wouldn't say no to a male version either so my dude can get his fighter pilot vibe on.

An anniversary update would be well recieved.

Katana, M16? Chainsaw, etc etc. I'm not sure about the clothes though.

As for the gun running, all I hope for is some holsters, and milita type stuff like being able to wear business shirts by themselves.

Knowing my bloody luck they will add them then I have to end up kissing some Rockstar employee like this.

...and predictably, nothing this time. And since the next update is the arms dealing stuff, nothing fashionable until ...summer, at best. :sui:

Said it before, saying it again: I reckon the best thing to do is start bugging the ever-loving shiznit out of R*, with a consistent list of doable items - dresses, boots, etc.

If R* gets a whole bunch of feedback forms and e-mails, all asking for the same things (and those things aren't outlandish/impossible without revamping fundamental aspects of the game), that's all got to add up, and it's more likely to make an impact than just hoping for the best every time.

I don't think you'll have to worry about any car updates in RDR 2.

But I'm with ya, this is the first update without any clothes at all since Freemode Events and it really feels different having an update release and nothing new in stores. Kind of empty.

That was expected tho. We can only hope for something semi-decent next military update :/

What are the odds of that though?

I don't know. Don't get me wrong - I'm glad there's a military update, I think a few vehicles are overdue. And the thought of getting what I've waited for for so long, that makes me happy. But I feel for the clothes people too.

I guess they see character customisation as a lower priority, hence why the skimping on asset quality, and generally perfunctory attitude towards the last year or so of clothing releases. And they're probably not paying much attention to feedback, because ...who they heck's asking for things like those low-crotch pants, exactly? :barf:

When ever I see someone wearing the low crotch pants, it looks like they're waddling around wearing a diaper full of diarrhea, or they pissed their pants or some stupi sh*t.

The next full update is supposed to be an arms-dealing/gun-running business thing - complete with bunker/HQ properties (not sure if it's another expansion of SecuroServ, or a separate business) and new combat vehicles.

Which means that, after the unfashionable tat with Import/Export, then ...nothing with Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit, the next thing is most likely going to be military gear, if anything.

:sui:

Realistically, we've got one more shot before R* probably starts toning down big GTAO things in order to give RDR2 Newswire space (by which I don't mean 'R* will stop GTAO updates this year because Red Dead', obviously - !!). At best, we've got a couple of updates before then - probably mid-late Summer (June/July), and then maybe late September/early October, if previous years are any indication.

Unlike a loud minority of gamer girls, I appreciate that you also agree that the clothing options/designs are "too butch" or don't match with our setting.

Most say that they're too sexualized...I don't think so. When I have the choice, I choose the opposite sex because of the allure that goes with it. Femme Fatale, taking names and looking good while they do it. Most will agree.

I really hope not. But since its PMC/Military, the chances are they will also be pretty butch..

Yeah. They're repeating the same updates. At the rate they're going, I would much rather buy a DLC pack that caters to my interest, then having free DLC with absolutely nothing that appeals to me.

Commander, if you make a open letter, you have my signature.

What pissess me off is that this isn't rocket science, if you can make loop-de-loops in the sky, then simple dresses, high waisted bottoms, hair, etc can be done too.

Even the NPC'S! Have more options than we do...The Suburban Girl with her red ascot and yellow dress combined with the leather jacket . . . the belts they wear??

Listen, I will more than like either A), join you if you're serious or B) brain storm some items for this "gunrunning" dlc that would be appealing to us and mail it in as a suggestion.

Bandolier/Holsters are one.

A Catsuit would be pretty cool too, as long as I can add a knife holster and gun holsters on top.

You know how some field agents in real life wear business shirts/blouses with their holsters? that too...

You're right, if we constantly voice our concerns, we might get what we want..

I'm actually looking forward to clothing and accessories we'll get with the gunrunning DLC. For me at least, it's just another opportunity to get four of my requested additions: Catsuits, Weapon Holsters, Dual Wielding and a Railgun; all of which are related to weapons. Maybe not a Catsuit, but come on. Catsuit + weapons holsters + dual wielding two Pistol .50's? Who wouldn't? :p

What bugs me is it's not a matter of 'too butch' or 'too sexy' - I've been playing the heck out of Saints Row IV recently, and despite it being a game where you're zipping around the city with superpowers, using guns modelled on everything from Star Trek to RoboCop, all the while wearing whatever you fancy (Mechagodzilla suit? Nipple pasties? Cardigan and some comfy slippers? No matter how niche your tastes may be, there's probably something for you in there! :pp), it's still really impressive how you can just put on something nondescript in a variety of plain colours, and go for a perfectly reasonably everyday look for your character.

This is actually a broader problem with the game, IMO - see also: the lack of more affordable sports/muscle cars, because R* apparently wants to prioritise the sorts of things that every wannabe YouTube celeb dreams of owning. Hence why an older Mustang (be it Mach 1 or Foxbody) or something like a 240SX or MX-5 doesn't exist in GTA, despite being entry-grade things for custom car enthusiasts - and yet it's just assumed that everyone in GTAO wants to own dozens of garishly-customised million-dollar hypercars.

...no, seriously - said this before, but R* seems to think we all want to be this guy (emphasis on the 'guy' part):

Saints row is everything that Online's customization isn't.

You could be anything or anyone you wanted. That isn't farfetched for GTA Online however.

Take out the gimp stuff .. . (possibly), and you could be nerdy, a anime junkie, uptown guy, a cowgirl, a cheerleader, anything really.

Not to mention the "normal" outfits.

You could dress up like a biker, a gangster, a CEO, a very classy VIP guard...or just "normal" clothes.

But i think the major problem with GTAO is how poor the character design is.

This is what we got on SR:

k9cXAcg.png

And this is GTAO:

jco4zEt.png

What i'm trying to demostrate here is how bad both the clothes and the body looks on GTAO.

On SR, we have more smoothly animations. Clothes that actually seems to fit well.

And, of course, clothes that combine with almost everything. Unlike in GTAO, where we have a bunch of clothes but only a small part is decent enough.

and i still believe that the team that controls all of the female stuff are a bunch of crazy feminists

Yes, yes and yes.

The animation in SR is much more polished and fluid. The clothing was designed so that either gender could use it, but when your character wears them, especially the femme, It fits their bodies and isn't just ported over.

I'm looking at you sweater vests...among other things.

At least in SR your jewellery looked proper, and you could wear chokers...and backpacks . . . . and dress like a cop . . . and a soldier. Gee.
