Dear r* (regarding overall female clothing choices)

Sometimes I think they like to tease us as well, take this pic a guy posted in the things you didn't know thread, where his 3 team mates were replaced by random females due to a disconnect

 

 

Far right is the one I take most notice of, shorts, leggings and boots - so simple, but no dice for us yet!

As a bonus to handbags for female characters, they could double as melee weapons..and explain it as carrying grenades and/or a heavy revolver in them. And it'd possibly be better than the guy who wants a fishing pole as a melee weapon, so he can whip on fools with it.

After playing with characters of both genders I have to say, at least for me, female characters have much better clothes options and allow overall more and prittier combinations tthan male characters.

 

Seriously? I think the men have much better options, although I'll grant you "prettier". The hats they have for women are just awful. Women should be able to get some of the same hats, the same jeans, and the same leather jackets as the men. The female versions are sh*te in most cases. And here's one that made me think "designed by a man" - if you put on stockings, then you can't put a dress or skirt on over them. WTF? It seems designed so little boys can have their female characters run around half-dressed. Incidentally, the easiest way to tell if a female character belongs to an actual female is by how it's dressed, isn't it?

As for me, I'm perfectly content with t-shirt, jeans, and a black leather jacket. I only wish they'd design some cooler shades.

I kinda disagree. Im a guy but dress my female relatively modestly most of the time. Shirt or jacket and jeans

That'd be me. I was playing on my male character for a bit, and I finished Pacific Standard with a few friends.

 

It was odd, because in the room where you talk to Lester my friends were using their own characters, but soon as the victory screen came I was surrounded by those women and they were acting like player characters do in cutscenes.

When the game resumed, I was in a session of my own. An Invite session, as a matter of fact. Beforehand we'd all gathered in a friend session. It'd make sense to throw us back in the same session, at least an invite session with my friends but I was utterly alone.

I wasn't disconnected from the game, social club was still recognizing my friends online. Somewhere, somehow this must be the default template of the cutscenes when they created them.

I just noticed, WHERE IN HE BLOODY F*CKING HELL IS ALL THE 60s-80s CLOTHING? Seriously, same thing goes for cars, what did the 60s-80s never happen in GTA, hell, it sure as S*it seems like most of the 90s never happened either.

I feel we should have more modern day dresses such as mini dresses. More leghings, stockongs, boots, bustiers, thigh high socks, and more tank tops. We also should be able to paint our characters nails along with rings to see in fp.

Also they added a section for "tucked polo shirts" which is completely unnecessary, they could have been put in the "polo shirts" section like tucked shirts are in the "shirts" section.

Also they added a section for "tucked polo shirts" which is completely unnecessary, they could have been put in the "polo shirts" section like tucked shirts are in the "shirts" section.

is the harness thing the parachute or something else and wear can you get it if not? and if so can you wear it without the big ninja turtle parachute backpiece showing?

I know maybe a stupid/lame request, how about female styled loafers and oxfords? We get a CEO update but no shoes for the office.

Just a normal parachute, put on through the interaction menu.

Besides, there are some (I think) actual women on here, as hard as that might be be to believe.

 

As for the guys, why shouldn't they want their character looking good? You wouldn't say it's creepy to spend time on your cars, office, etc., so why shouldn't someone want their character looking stylish?

Following Rockstar's definition of "normal" - ugh, no thanks. They'd need to redesign the body shape of player characters before we can consider much of what they add normal, especially dresses.

 

Sorry for being a downer, but fashion and anatomy aren't Rockstar's strong points.

 

This thread is awesome though. Fingers crossed that R* eventually takes notice.

Following Rockstar's definition of "normal" - ugh, no thanks. They'd need to redesign the body shape of player characters before we can consider much of what they add normal, especially dresses.

They are getting better, little by little, just look at the plain color shirts we got which shaped the upper body a bit different.

But to be fair making a tshirt isn't that hard. So yeah I get your point.

I, as female, don't care much about nails (but wouldn't mind that as a feature of course, I always support customization), but I would love to see haircuts longer than a very modest ponytail. I can definitely see my character getting more savage look by making her hair untamed, that would suit her personality

I'm only joking, lol. I just think its funny. I spend too much time choosing my guy's outfit, only to wear my old outfit.

honestly, some of the hipster clothing and leather jackets are pretty much classic clothing if you ask me

 

same for the hairstyles of hipsters....unless girl avatars cant have the clothes male avatars can have ?
