Dear r* (regarding overall female clothing choices)

I think one of the reason R* hasn't updated the game with good clothing is because they know that most the people who play GTAO have little to no sense in fashion.

Ahem, you were saying?

It is clear that you are not apart of those fashion-less scoundrels.

Either you are very stupid and made a spelling mistake, or that was very cleverly worded. It was autocorrect sadly.

I ran into some of these female clothing problems yesterday. My crew had a biker themed playlist and I couldn't find any boots that the game would allow me to pair with jeans, leather pants or leggings. Ridiculous!

I could have easily dressed her as a biker slut but why should she be relegated to Road Candy?

Certain jeans can be worn with Scruffy Boots, Flight Boots and Combat Boots. As for Leather Pants and Leggings, they can be paired with the Flight Boots by selecting one of the "Heist: Rider" outfits first.

I hope that with this new update comes some new outfits. Not so much pantsuits but professional dresses. :/, the tomboyish look has been beaten to death. Here's to hoping.

Everytime a new update gets announced we hope for better clothing customization options, let's hope we finally get it.

Looks like there's options to wear the polo-neck tops without a jacket, judging by one of the screenshots...

...so probably more locked SecuroServ outfit options, then. :facedesk:

(really, really hoping that this update is as expansive as R* have hinted at - new clothing styles, new hairstyles, all-new cars, etc. Setting my expectations to 'cautiously optimistic'...)

My thoughts (not that I'm some authority on it lol) - it probably won't be huge for clothes, but we could get some nice bits and pieces.

That's probably how we'll end up getting most of the stuff on this thread. Getting it all in one big clothing update is probably too much of an ask (though I think they should) - getting all these things, bit by bit with each update, should be very plausible though.

Here's hoping anyway.

This update can go a long way in the clothing aspect. However, the other Executive and Other Criminals update brought pajamas and a few bikinis. So as this is a second to that update, I hope they go for clothing which is a day to day business look. I have got high hopes for this update as it can generally bring a lot even if it is directed to the update itself.

On the news wire they have referred to this as "one of GTA Online's biggest and deepest updates yet.", so there is potential and I am actually excited for this.

One can dream I guess.

We need variety and not to feel restricted in how we express our character.

Yes it can be refined, but a relatively good selection and variety already exists. That is the problem really, with restless fashion addicts and their relentlessly pitiful need for restricting attention and expression of imbalance.

In a way I agree with you. I know everyone in this thread will argue me but I just want to say, the ideas are good ones but, there's enough clothes to be satisfied with I know some people want their sparkly dresses and heels, nail polish sounds nice and all, but until R* releases some real game changing content updates, then well worry about clothing. I'm not going to argue anyone just expressing my opinion. Bye.

We all know there's enough clothes. The point you missed is the lack of combination possibilities.

Don't forget a lot of the clothes look horrible. It's not just about getting more clothes. More combination options would be good. Also if they (r*) redid a lot of the clothes to make them look good would help.

Of course there are enough clothes to satisfy you - you obviously don't really care about clothes (as shown by your scale of what's important).

But to someone who's not interested in something, of course there'll be enough to satisfy them.

Someone who doesn't care about more game modes would tell you there's already enough; same with garages; someone who doesn't care about helicopters would say "well look there are already some, so there's enough".

At the end of the day, there's a large number of people here who aren't satisfied with the amount of clothes and/or options for existing clothes. This little sign here alone shows it's not just a few fashion-crazed people:

efjyNXj.png

Besides, this thread isn't here to argue about whether or not there should be more - during the 24 pages of the thread, it has more or less been settled that there should be. This thread is just here for people to talk about what they want.

Besides we need more clothes I'd wear out in public, the lingerie is good, but alas that's something I'd only wear around the house (even then I'd put pants and a shirt on if someone knocked at the door). I'd like more combinations, the clothing the NPCs have, and some more Mad Max style clothing. Edited by SuzukiBlaze

Stop coming here and trying to spurr agruments. The both of you. This thread and its contributors have staved away many a troll/agitator.

Everyone here is on one accord with the issue of a lack of practical clothing for a fictional LA setting. There ISN'T enough clothing to be satisfied. To be technical, we should have triple the clothes we have right now. We have clothes that don't properly match or go with anything, poorly textured (leggings), necklaces being not properly fitted.

There's so much more that could and should be added . . . proper boots? Casual/semi-formal dresses?, rompers?

LA and in extension, LS is portrayed as a melting pot of style. Yuppies, goths, valley girls, Hipsters, millionaires, etc etc.

"Restless fashion addicts"? Customization is an essential component of GTAO.

When I play a MMO, I want to be different from the other masses that play with me. I love when I hear people on the mic being curious or making comments on what my character wears. Luckily for me, I can salvage a good amount of outfits from the rather choppy array we have now.

In general, mostly everyone I come across online looks shoddy, but that could be for many reasons. The NPCs look more put together than most gtao characters altogether.

Why cant we wear sweater vests? Non baggy suits for the guys(ish) stockings with skirts or jean shorts? waist length shorts? Knee length socks? backpacks, more hair styles? Nailpolish, etc etc etc etc etc etc. I can go on for ages.

All in all, the clothing is a 4 out of 10. The overall making of your player is pretty crappy too. As an online multiplayer, immersion and creating your avatar is right up on the line with everything else, and many people agree with me.

Sorry to be passive aggressive, but being called a "fashion addict" in a game that's had customization in it since the 3D universe, is a bit unfair. People want more garages and cars?

what's this? a need for speed simulator?

more Guns and attactchments? Pfft this isn't COD.

It's a pointless rhetoric.

It's a moot point, anyway - R* will add more clothes with future updates, because they always do. So it's not like them doing no more, effort-wise, than what they've done with every update so far is suddenly going to start detracting from all the other things that could do with some fresh new things.

The issue isn't that R* needs to add a greater volume of clothing options per update - it's more just if they're going to spend time/effort/resources on new clothes anyway, might as well prioritise stuff that'll get more mileage than odd, niche things. Layerable pieces, modern dresses, etc.? I imaging a lot of the Snapmatic community would really benefit from that - and even regular players wouldn't mind having stuff that opens up new ways to personalise their characters. Robes, burlap hoodies and smoking jackets? Ehh, not so much - don't really go with a lot of the other, everyday items, and it's not like there was some major demand for it.

It's like my big complaint about cars: most of the recent updates, it's been 'lots of time/money spent on ...adding variants of existing cars', or even with something new like the Reaper, it's 'another modern hypercar, to go with ...all the other modern hyper/supercars we already have'. That same dev time could have been spent on something that's completely new to the game, and thus would stand out, and feel more novel.

Make belts an accessory that fits several different type of trousers. A lot of both male and female clothing is belt-less, and for someone who really enjoy attention to detail make it an accessory that you can choose to have. Belts with studs or not, simple or complex buckles. Up to the player.

I'd also really like to see wallet chains.

Maybe I'm just tacky.

I made my girl character yesterday, I quite like a lot of the options for girls but the layout seems a bit messy, the same goes for males, but I think it's much worst for females, I hope rockstar cleans up the clothing menu like they did ammunation, also I really hope they listen to what people want and allow the vip clothes to be worn outside of it. Maybe make them unlock-able through challenges that are to do with being a vip that way not everyone has them, I just really want to see more unlock-able stuff to give me more challenges.

Yea cause how am I a billionaire but yet I can't buy a LV belt to go with my LV wallet chaindead.png

But forreal though I wouldn't mind seeing a option to wear Designer belts especially if the next update is going to be high-end.

Meh to non-existent, if I'm honest. I didn't see a thing.

I know some people like to paint me as the voice of negativity, but they're really letting the clothing side of things down.

They need to get their act together.

This doesn't seem like a clothing update and tbh you can't judge it from a trailer, they wanted to show the gameplay and what new things we can do,

Probably best to reserve judgement on the clothing in this update until the 7th, even if there is a little bit, that's still quite good because I'm not expecting clothes in this update, nor do I think that it would be sh*tty for Rockstar not to do a lot with clothes in an update that looks this big.

I think an update being of this size is all the more reason to have added more clothes.

They could've made everyone happy with it, but instead it looks like they're choosing to ignore some people. Again.

I don't know. I suppose we'll have to wait and see, but with Take Two/Rockstar talking about ending updates some time, I'm getting a little impatient with how they're neglecting certain aspects of the game. Clothing being a major one of them.
