Dear r* (regarding overall female clothing choices)

I don't often wear the sweatpants/joggers for females because they are roll ups and look a mess. I would probably wear them if they were normal length.

 

The roll ups ruin it for me otherwise I would genuinely wear them. Sweatpants are life, comfortable and stylish (if they are the right style). If they were to add some in GTA V Online, they could have different patters like camouflage and plain colours. This definitely fits the casual and sports bracket.

I was making a new outfit and while I was quickly switching between the shorts the texture from the denim ones went onto the others for a second. I managed to screenie it cause of ps4, there might be a possible glitch here. Anyways it looks really good imo.

VIP and bodyguard outfits should be purchasable in stores and that will increase the variety of clothes in the game as some of them are really good.

Yes. Just yes. I like the denim shorts, but sometimes I wish I could get their textures on the shorter cut style. It'd be so easy, just a simple re-texturing.

 

Also, on the topic of sweatpants, I sometimes use the striped suit pants to emulate sweats, although I'd MUCH rather have actual slim fit joggers with elastic strings to give it that athletic look.

 

Another thing that really bothers me is the lack of decent tank-tops/sleeveless shirts. The lack of variety really turns me off to wearing them. Where's the basic, non-cropped, white tank? Spaghetti straps?

 

Honestly, I'm still waiting for an Update that is purely focused on character-related content (clothes, hair, makeup, etc.). It's bound to happen, eventually. Fingers crossed for sooner than later.

Glad Miss Los Santos 2014 voiced out the problem regarding the lack of variety on clothing... We don't even get modern lingerie but instead we get 20s ones which is bad as we don't even have the modern ones.

I know none of these ideas are original or new, but I tried to pick a few that are realistic and do-able. Also, it's hard to imagine some clothing items on the GTAO female figure, so it's important to understand that when thinking about what you'd like in the game. I put together some things. I used clothing items available in the Sims 4, just to keep things game-like. Here we go:

 

Dresses. When R* first released the babydoll dresses in the Hipster Update, I genuinely believed that they would keep expanding upon that idea and keep adding in more. But, so far, we've gotten really nothing (aside from V-Day flappers, which only go so far). I'd like to see more casual, every-day dresses that appeal more to modern fashion and don't hang down past the knees.

 

 

 

 

Mini-dresses are basically a must. True, some bustier/skirt combos can create a mimic mini-dress, but it's pretty limited. It'd be extremely easy for R* to piece the bustier and skirt pieces together, add some nice touches, and make it available as a one-piece outfit. The only problem here is that I (personally) find that a lot of empty chest space ends up only accenting the female's low hanging bust. I usually counter this with a necklace or a scarf, so it's not that big of a deal.

 

 

I'd also like to see dresses with straps, like the one below. As you can see, the dress flares out slightly along the hems, so it's almost more 'innocent'. I also wouldn't mind having this kind of denim fabric in the game.

 

 

 

 

 

As much as the female clothing is lacking, I find a real lack in the variety of tops. The current selection leaves SO much to be desired. Yes, I do love quirky little T-shirts every now and then, but there are things that this game could really use.

 

 

 

 

Lowriders Part 1 brought the first decent long-sleeve tops into GTAO with the baseball tees. I'd really like to see more of these in different variations (textures and style). Perhaps un-tucked and a little more form-fitting?

 

 

Someone here pointed out that the off-shoulder section of the tops could add a lot more, and I AGREE. I think that the Off Shoulder section has a lot of potential for tops that I would wear all the time. Here's a design that isn't exactly 'off shoulder', but it does expose some skin, which I like.

 

 

Also, I think that a flannel top like this could almost work like a 'jacket' and be worn over other things. Or (@wanes) be glitched to be worn with no undershirt.

 

 

 

 

 

Females in GTAO actually have a nice set of legs. R* could definitely work with this and give us more shirts/pants/skirts.

I wish I could get a hairstyle likethis for my character, or other shoulder length cuts since for some reason, longer hair cant be imported into the game....What's up with that? In games in general, excluding saints row, most of the girls have neck length cuts...its weird. XD

Yeah, the boots they have now look so ugly, because they're so skin tight, they meld in with my females legs, partly because she's African-American. But with all colours, they look as if they melt into the skin

 

The female boots remind me of these for some reason...

 

 

Without the shoes, just the socks...LOL.

 

Like someone else said, I await the day that we get an update relating to our characters personal image and "ego" which would yield more clothes. Ill-gotten gains, executives and high life could've done that for us, but as many would say, the clothes were out of touch with current trends.

I would really love to see more dresses, just plaid black dresses and suits. Longer trenchcoats and haircuts like Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction.

Bomber jackets are really in. I have one in black and need to buy more. I'd love to see them added but not the bomber jackets we have already. They are really varsity. Why is it that all of the jackets are always closed/buttoned up so you can't see any tops underneath. It'd be better if it was open in my opinion because you can match it with other clothing like crop tops and longer tops. Also these bomber jackets can be paired with jeans or shorts and even skirts.

You know what really grinds my gears? For one thing, there are some very similar jackets to those - but for male characters only.

 

And the same goes for the varsity jackets (you're right - they're not 'bomber jackets' - !) - male characters get open AND closed versions of all the different colour options, but female characters only get closed ones. That's the 'ladies' clothing in GTAO' problem in a nutshell, really - rather than getting comparable stuff to the menswear, it tends to be totally different, and/or not half as versatile to use.

That part with the open and closed jackets do say how half assed the clothing options are where you can't even tuck in or out the shirts or the buttons whether open buttoned or close buttoned like Saints Row.

I often have the feeling that R* honestly don't care otherwise they'd be creating stuff like OP said instead of trying to make money making those ridiculous Bling updates where EVERYTHING is so expensive. But I guess it is a company. sad face.

 

I have wished ages for long hair, actual black tights, good looking dresses, better clothing combinations without it unequipping another piece of clothing.

Especially those ugly, chavy, excessively big necklaces or chains. They all look similar and are between our neck and boobs, and that says something considering our boobs are half way down our chest. They also don't even go around our neck properly, they create a huge circle around it instead.

 

Like they can seriously just go on an online website like H&M and take inspiration or even steal their items. Some of the accessories we have are...hideous. I only wear watches and certain earrings because the other accessories just don't match and look ugly.

 

Now how about some handbags?

 

 

 

Like these can be held in your hand, go over your shoulder or hang off your arm. I'd love to kill people with this as well! Imagine it though.

I have also seen several NPC's with clutch bags. I want them so badly to compliment my outfit and so I can slam someone to the ground with it.

This thread speaks to me on multiple levels.

 

I downloaded a skin changer mod so I could play as my GTA:O character in SP and found some leather boots that I haven't seen in actual Online. I hope that they'll be released in an update soon because they're really nice and the current leather ones are hideous.

Also, the top my character's wearing is literally just the upper bit of those lounge-wear robes we have. They actually look really nice like this.
