Dear r* (regarding overall female clothing choices)

This is probably the wrong thread to ask this, but since it's at least semi on topic I'll ask.

 

The other day I played with a dude/gal that had the long flapper dress gloves on normal clothes.

He/she was wearing the new rolled up t-shirt and jeans and the long gloves.

He/she left before I could ask how he/she did that.

 

Anyone knows how to do it?

I think a push up bra would be good at the moment to lift them up a bit and because it is ideal when running around in heels and any footwear, rolling around on the floor to avoid bullets, getting in multiple car crashes, shooting with an automatic weapon, repeatedly changing position when taking cover to shoot then protect and shoot and protect. It just seems sensible somehow.

 

Then I guess having a topless character would be fun at times - within limits. Imagine taking off the push up bra and hearing your character sigh in relief.

I'm with you, this thread needs more attention. Most of the clothing ideas are really great on this thread. Keep it up y'all. Hopefully it catches on soon.

About the topless option.

 

I'm all for that BUT only in your house or yacht, showering and bathing topless in your hot tub and walking around in your own space.

Topless should not be available outside your house/yacht, people walking around topless in the street just don't seem very realistic, even in a den of sin like Los Santos.

 

I mean it is an adult game after all, and you can see boobs in the strip club so it's a bit weird actually that you can't see your own.

 

They could make it like the hot tub, when you exit your house clothes will be automatically put on, like a bikini top at least.

Walking around in a bikini top seems a bit weird too imo, but it's Los Santos it got a lot of sun and palm trees and a massive beach. So you would probably see girls in bikini tops in the streets there irl.

NPCs often have special abilities that we don't.

 

Buzzards that can pivot their minguns and aim, Lazers that can lock onto you while you're on foot, cops rappelling off helicopters, Savages that take multiple missiles, etc.

 

It's like they love to rub these things in people's faces. I'm not surprised they like to do the same with clothes. Why?

 

But then R* decided that we might have seizures from experiencing such high levels of fun and customization and so removed them for our health and safety.

Right, so here are the pics (mostly under spoiler tags, to save space! ) of the various things hanging up in apartment wardrobes. As far as I can tell, most of the menswear has a wearable equivalent in the game (jackets, hooded tops, sports vests), and same for the jeans and cargo pants. But the dresses and boots? Nope.

First up, a dress that you can sorta approximate using a bustier and skirt - but still, this is an actual dress (and note the asymetric shoulder straps - interesting detail):

 

 

 

The most interesting things are the two styles of backless halter-neck dress - one with a plunge neck (black/white), and another type with a strappy back, which shows up in a variety of colours in the different interiors:

There's also some nice trainers in different colours - these are almost like the new style introduced with Lowriders, but those only come in combinations of black, white and yellow (because Vagos outfits), and it'd be good to get some other colour variations (for ladies - because, again, I'm pretty sure male characters have those kinds of options already... ):

 

 

Also, some new styles of high-heeled boot - the sort of thing that, if added, should logically be made wearable over skinny jeans and leggings, at the very least:

 

 

To contrast, all these items are currently available in the game - in fact, I'm pretty sure that they've been purchasable/wearable since launch (the hooded top for men only, while the jeans and cargo pants are very much like the versions available for all characters):

 

 

 

None of those items would be any harder to implement than anything existing in the game. The only slight difference I can think of would be making the dresses wearable with a jacket - but that's easily done: since dresses function like tops that extend to cover both top and bottom slots, just make them 'extended tops' in the same clothing layer as a camisole or bustier, and thus a jacket would fit over them in the same way.

And the absolute kicker? Most of those pics were taken in the standard high-end apartment wardrobe - the one that's been in the game since launch back in 2013.

Currently I wear jean pants, a bomber jacket and some converse canvas sneakers, which make me happy. It looks cool, but most of the female wardrobe is really slutty and just horrible, to be frank. And I don't want dresses and sh*t, I want armor and a Knights Shield.

 

I want to be a f*ckin female knight, one of the Knights of the round table. I want a f*ckin sword too and a f*ckin horse. Riding on my MOTHERf*ckIN horse, killing motherf*ckers with my f*ckin sword made of steel, while wearing steel plated armor that screams "I'm a badass mofo that slays dragons, come at me".

 

My female character always gets humped by horny desperate dudes and I want something that says "you motherf*cker, I will slay you if you do that stupid sh*t again near me! I'm Buffy the MOTHERf*ckIN vampire slayer in f*ckin Knight armor, and I'll behead you if you come near me again!"

 

And I also want this for my male too, so me and my female and my male can be Alexander the f*ckin great.

+1 to what he said.....up until the armor stuff. Just made a female character myself last week, and have also noticed the amount of bogus clothes on there. And to the person with the concept dress drawings, good work. Hopefully someone of importance see's it, and implements it in some sort of future update.

I'm still waiting for an update that adds more contact missions (the main point of GTA), as well as reintroduce the removed contact missions (assuming the bugs in those missions are fixed).

Went to log on today and saw my knee high outfit was patched.....smh. Like seriously maybe now based on how many females used this glitch just to get knee high on leggings and boots you would add this with out glitching which should of been at launch!

 

A bunch of other clothing items were patched as well. For BOTH, male AND female.

I mean do u have a female working on the art design of the clothing for online? If not you need to go to a fashion show because clearly u do not know fashion.

 

GTA Online is NOT a fashion simulator. Try Sims for that.

God your so incompetent I mean what was wrong with wearing knee high leggings? Seriously if it has clipping issues then get off your butts and fix it. While we are add it add proper black leggings call them dark black leggings idk the vip ones were perfect and made my outfit look cute.

 

It had the clipping issues because it was glitched by another party. R* did NOT intend for it to happen. You can't blame R$ for the problems of unofficial mods. Things like that happen if you try to do things the developers didn't intend. CLEARLY by removing the glitched clothes, R$ doesn't want people using mods.

Seriously the clothing that's been coming out as for late isn't really for females it's more geared for guys making their toon look like dude.

 

Maybe its because the stereotypical "lowrider demographic" female population in those areas dress like that. Also, the DLC as of late is basically Lowriders Part 2, 3, 4...

Besides, even with the "male" clothing, FEMALE CLOTHING STILL DOMINATES compared to men.

 

Ask any female gamer and they will tell what needs to be improved on our side...

 

A saying goes like this, "You canNOT please everyone." So knowing that, in business, we try to market towards the primary consumer (NOT everyone). Most of the consumers are NOT highly concerned with clothing. At the end of the day, the main audience PAYS the R$ employees their money. The consumer is NOT making wishlist about a R$'$ $ecret fashion show in GTA.

Idk this is bitch and moan but many of us have been waiting for proper layering and actual female clothing that some of us uses.

 

What about the male side? GTA's clothing STILL FAVOR'S WOMEN.

Why can't I wear leather straps with a necklace unless it's the gold cuffs. Why can't I wear boots with jeans? Why no long hair or nail polish r*. Stop making the game geared more to males seriously. There are a lot of gamers who are female and you need to stop ignoring us.

 

Its geared towards the males because they mainly purcha$e the game and will give R$ the $$$. Besides, the MALES GET LESS CLOTHING OPTIONS. This game is NOT shop at the Target, F21, Abercrombie, American Eagle, or whatever clothing shops are in. Ain't nobody got time to focus on fashion when the BULK of the gamer$ play for reasons other than clothing. Besides, our systems can only hold so much space.

 

Besides, there is a list like that for men. Why can't I have my character do a hip swivel while in a unicorn suit and eat a box of Booty-O's?

And like a repeat of your last statement, R$ is repeating Lowriders by introducing Lowriders Part 45,79, 93... (which include "manly" clothes that females in the "lowrider" group stereotypically wear.) And most of the clohting in lowriders are repaints. I'm still waiting on my Booty-O's clothes.

Part of the reason we don't have cocktail dresses or similar pieces of clothing, as far as I can tell, is it because it accentuates our massive man-sized shoulders. This is exemplified in the OP image.
