I guess it's this swimsuit. I'm not particularly a fan of the texture but it annoys me how NPCs are treated better than us.

In the cutscene, it looks like she's just wearing the standard Camisole with a semi color matched skirt.

Well, it's based on camisole but camisole part ends higher on that dress. The creases make the upper part look darker probably.

At this point though, I think our best hope is waiting for the next GTA instalment and hoping that they have a clothing/ appearance system with better layering and consideration for women's options in mind.

 

That and better clothing quality; although I don't play Online so much anymore, despite there being a lot of footwear options, there aren't any that look really nice. My character has $220m and the only high-tops she can get are relatively , nondescript sneakers ':/ Cyberpunk 2077 has many a problem and I could definitely pick holes in the clothing system, but they have designed some of the coolest looking everyday clothing that I have ever seen in a video game (there is still a decent selection of combat gear as well);

 

 

I guess it's difficult to deliver this kind of quality when working with early 2010s tech, but this shouldn't stop them from at least having the vision to create better quality clothing in terms of design...

Again:

We need a separate category for swimsuits and accessories. With a huge range of two piece and one piece swimsuits ranging from full coverage surfing suits and competition Olympic style one pieces all the way down to two piece micro thong bikinis with transparent straps. 

We need MODERN club style dresses and cocktail party outfits. Like some with micro and mini length and hooded or draped backless dresses. Something metallic or neon colors would be nice.

We need functional underwear along with stockings and socks. All of which can be layered under clothing life in real life. If you're wearing a t shirt and you get wet or jump in the water. When you get out you can see what kind of bra is under it. Or if nothing is under it. They got the reference for that with the bodysuits. Specially the Christmas ones.

We need the ability to take off and put on jackets and coats realistically. And then carry them or put them down somewhere. Like throw them into the back seat of a car.

I've tried to change stuff from the Scope mission outfit and it didn't worked...on PC you can already have new white leggings from the ugly vehicles* update and old flat heel boots.

With this new Car Meet DLC, does anyone think we might actually get some half decent clothing to go with it? Or am I being far too hopeful? I mean, at least they can't add armour/tacticool gear with it, right?...Right?!

They've had many chances to add something decent. Most of it is gonna be reskinned sweaters and jackets from years ago. That's my expectation.

I know expecting anything interesting is kind of a fool's errand at this point but if they're going for a tuner kind of vibe...I hope some of the clothing reflects the slutty extras in the early fast & the furious movies. Pictures are a pain in the ass to find but there's something that's always stuck with me about the costume choices for these sexy extras

nope. only npc's are allowed to wear the good,detailed clothing and accessories we suggest, want, and hoped for.

I hope so too. But the dev team for Online have managed to drag out the tacticool theme for almost a decade, so we shouldn't underestimate the power of pandering to the lowest common denominator.

 

Can you imagine if R* had given as much focus to anything else? Just think of the amount of hairstyles we might have by now, tops (that aren't low-effort retextured bland t-shirts), or new bodykits/accessories/wheel designs we could pick for our vehicles...

 

I mean occasionally some good stuff does get released but there have been so many missed opportunities to tie items into themes by this point. During the loading screen on the weekend all I saw was Warstock junk being advertised. Imagine the backlash if loading screens showed new tops, hairstyles and shoes as much as they did overpriced and useless military garbage

We need a separate category for Swim and Beachwear. With a very large assortment of bikini and one piece swimsuit styles. Bikinis can be bought as sets or separates. Beachwear means a large assortment of scarves, wraps and coverups to be worn over swimsuits. Along with accessories as small beach duffels, bags, hats, and beach towels. Also a new category for Party wear. For dedicated party and cocktail dresses with modern styles.

I'd definitely like to see more beachwear. The current selection is bikinis only, unless you combine sports vests with bottoms like I've been doing for the longest time. It's not ideal but at least it's a legit 'vanilla' alternative to bikinis without employing any mods or hacks.

Alternatively, you could really push the boat out effort-wise, and do what R* did for their "BIGGEST DLC EVER!™", and hope nobody notices...

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for the new update, the cars look really good (so far), it's probably the most promising update in years (certainly for my tastes!), but I'm fully expecting a bunch more low-res prints on the same handful of shirts/jackets/sweaters we always get. At this rate, Forza Horizon 5 is going to have better character customisation than GTAO (it'll have hairstyle options, so that's better than ANY GTAO update since 2017... ) - and I really hope the new Test Drive Unlimited game lives up to the standards of the originals in that department, considering TDU2 had clothing options that could almost rival a Saints Row game...

So far all I've seen are retextured jackets and a new pair of shoes on male characters.

 

Things aren't looking too bright in the player customization department but eh, the focus is on cars so no one needed a forehead with space for more than three fingers to figure it out.
