I've actually tried to look for it in the tops section on a trainer (sp, obviously) to no avail. Is there some type of trickery that needs to be performed?

Just a simple model swap.

The model is already in the game files named "jbib_019_u_1.ydd"

just replaced that with the original "jbib_019_u.ydd"

These "trimmed" variants are present in-game, but not to the player. There are also trimmed versions of the Valentines Day dresses too.

 

I think the standard dresses turn into these trimmed dresses under certain circumstances to prevent clipping, however I am unsure what.

That so? I think the baby doll dresses change when the character is a car, but these don't. Ah, shame, may be too short but its much better than whats there imo.

I forgot the mode name. But if you play that offline actor thing with your online character in a dress. She'll enter cars like a lady unlike online and the dress morphes into the shorter variant. At least the Valentine dresses did this.

Yep, in director mode. I didn’t know about the shorter dress, I’ve seen that female characters can enter in such way (also, in general, you can enter into cars without roofs with a jump). Things that in online there aren’t.

I wonder if anything interesting can be done with the component glitch to make these dresses look decent. If it hasn’t been patched that is. The dresses give you weird skinny legs with an odd shadow, so hopefully I some bikini bottoms can be glitched under them to fix that. The leather jacket combo some have mentioned could potentially be made aswell.

There are like 52 texture variations for the dress.

I'll wait for ScriptHook to update before checking them out properly. Will showcase them if someone doesn't beat me to it.

There's still a working panties glitch that lets you remove a dress and show the red panties underneath. The default top is a black bikini bra and can't be changed. For some unknown reason R* changed the legs to be skinnier and a slightly different color with a shadow on the thighs that varies with the lighting. The panties are slightly smaller than bikini bottoms and have a more pronounced camel-toe. I have only seen two or three people wear this as an outfit over the years and people usually freak out when I show it to them. I usually just wear this when putting my character to bed or being around the house. The panties are skin tight (like a decal) with no thickness defined except for the edges that would be the waist and leg elastic bands. The funny thing is that the panties are slightly off center to the left. they would look better if they were on the normal legs. When my female characters wear this outfit they look as if they had the inside of their thighs liposuctioned.

         So I'm certain that everyone who has been playing GTA online for even just a few weeks are aware that many female characters are still played by males in reality. Not sure if this is the idea on many peoples minds, but it almost seems as if your character has blonde hair and/or shows quite a lot of skin (specifically the main options are bikinis, panties with a crop top or clothing combinations that show a lot of the female characters bodies midsections, where the bellybutton is typically visible), most people just assume that a guy is actually playing that character. Now, I'll be honest and say that my main character in online is a female (though both of mine are female), who has blonde hair and I pretty much always only have her wearing a bikini, to be exact the blue bikini top and blue bikini bottom.

       So, my character does fit this thought very well, and I can understand why most people assume its just a guy in reality (because even as a female in reality, looking at my character in game kind of even arouses me a bit or at least is often quite nice to look at, and for a guy in reality, I'm sure this is something they are quite fond of and makes the experience of playing the game entertaining enough, to keep themselves at least somewhat focused most of the time (like I said, my character sometimes arouses me in reality, and I have the same body parts as she does, but since guys obviously have a more natural attraction to girls, I can only imagine guys probably enjoy staring at their female characters booty/butt a lot more than I do as a female in reality, but I do enjoy looking at my characters butt quite a bit too). 

         With all that said, I'd like to say that I mostly based my main character in online (like at least 90% of her) off of a real life celebrity (though not like an actress or singer, but a model), that person happens to be Candice Swanepoel (though she's not naturally a blonde, bit besides the point) but that's part of why she is so sexy and beautiful and she is legendary/iconic for modeling bikinis and swimwear for the brand Victoria's Secret. She also happens to be the inspiration for my in game name and crew name.  That is my reason of sorts as to why I play as a female character and why (my main character at least) is not only blonde, but also is almost never wearing something that is not a bikini (I really only have her in blue though). 

       My question for anyone who wishes to answer this is "are you the same gender as your female character in game (hoping only people who have a female character answer this) and regardless of your answer to the first part of the question, what do you mainly have her wearing in game and why? (not intended to offend or judge anyone, I just want to see if there's any truth in the original thing I said)

I'm a bit of a tomboy, I wear a mix of masculine and feminine outfits. Some have specific purposes. Such as one for stealth, one for CEO business, a biker outfit and so forth.

I always try to balance colours to match a fitting theme, playing off contrasts and shades of specific items. I wish there were more details in our clothes.

 

So far my biggest peeve is that we don't have much in the means of proper suits with matching parts, at best we got some suits in Finance and Felony DLC ages ago.

They also lack accents, accessories and detailing. The suits as a whole is rudimentary. I realize that suits isn't really designed for women in mind, but looking at our very own Ms. Baker its hard not to get really jealous.

(Particularly of that open dress shirt with the pendant.)

 

For instance:

This is my typical "Streetwear" clothes consisting of a brown leather jacket, a over the shoulder top promoting an old classic rock radio station, blue jeans and a black pair of high heeled boots.

There's a few accents going on here and there, such as the gold buttons on the jacket matching my earrings, black of shirt matching boots. Blue jeans contrasting the rest. Stitches of boots matching jacket and so forth.

It's a mixture of feminine shapes and apparel with masculine combinations and colours. Sums me up quite nicely, as a whole.

 

It also shows off a few of my selected tattoos. I'm quite happy with that. I always try to make outfits that do a bit of both, as most of my tattoos aren't meaningless.

As a guy who's been playing this game since day one as a female character, I can say I've gone through some phases in style. I used to wear really slutty type stuff. Now days I wear "try hardish" type stuff. I do have to say I do get somewhat aroused looking at my character cause she's a complete depiction of what I feel the perfect female should look and be like.

This is the closest in game to what I was trying to achieve, and I haven't sen it on any other NPC...ported from SP perhaps?

Thank you for making this V! I’m impressed by the amount of tacky designs they were able to come up with. That money dress is an actual look lmao
