.Admiral
During a mission where tommy or another person talks it has stopped, not the cut scenes but during game play,eg when u get a phone call or wen someone says something like when u fight lance he says 'this is lance vance's last dance'. well i have no speech and it takes a longer than normal to finish. its only on the data i just started again. not my original one thank good. Anyone know why this is? or how to get them to speak again? thanx

You fiddle around with some options (not sure which); but maybe it might sort it out.. If not, there must be a bug somewhere along the line..or it's your ps2..or your disk! Check your disk, mem.card etc. The Precinct - We're upping our standards, so up yours!
Mini-Gun
That was happening my friend too. But it was both ingame and cut scene speech that was gone. It fixed itself after a while.

tricky
I've had this a couple of times, once the speech went and all the "details" in the mansion went too (pizza boxes, your mementos). I found that if I turned the PS2 off then it will re-load the voices etc...
[ZERO]
You sure are in a pickle. I would suggest getting your PS2 looked at.
