@NachoZ Compared to the Interceptor and the Buffalo, the Stanier comes in dead last. It's outdated and outperformed. It's vastly overrated in this thread.

I see your point, it just seems odd seeing such a run of the mill vehicle that virtually nobody has as a PV described as overrated.

 

From a performance perspective it's no great shakes I'll give you that, I'm not looking at these vehicles like that especially but fair enough if that's how you're judging them. Personally I'm weighing them based on looks and fun factor, with performance in last place.

 

To me the Stanier is the perfect representation of a classic cop car and I think that's why it's doing ok in this game.

The civilian Stanier isn't too far removed from the police Stanier so I never felt like it was something rare. The Interceptor on the other hand actually is rare (no civilian version) but that died very early in this game.

 

I think the Stanier is a great representation of what cop cars used to be 10-15 years ago. But in today's America, the Taurus (Interceptor) / Charger (Buffalo) / Explorer are king.

From the way you state that, you make it sound like the Stanier (aka Ford Crown Victoria) is an old vehicle and it's outdated. While it is true that it is old in "today's police fleet", I still see Ford Crown Victorias being used in my department's fleet along with Chargers, Tauruses, and even some fugly hybrids.
