YaDoesntHaveToCallMeRay
If you can't fight on the ground, you're a pussy blowing people up. Especially if you have a homing launcher locked on you and you have to loop away to escape death. That's just you running away from a fight so you can get a cheap shot later. You're offended by this? You're a lil bish. Get good and fight me on the ground. Sure - they're not going to dodge the missile; they'll just stay still and let you kill them. Mattoropael
Get good and fight me in the air.. Hey look at that, I can be judgmental too! LOL. In the air where you can hide from my homing launcher? Hahahahahavaggagagavagagabahahahahshhahdjsjd He can easily dodge your cr**py homing launcher lol. Let's face it - whatever he used, he'd probably beat you, and then you'd tell him to stop moving because it's unfair, and then he'd beat you anyway, and then you'd say he needs a blindfold on ... For the record, I think jets could do with being made faster so shooting is harder, and dogfights more complicated. Childish BS like this isn't helping anyone though. Agreed, jets could do with faster speed (and faster engine cut-off/stall speed) and/or the cannon RoF decrease you've suggested in the past to the benefit of both jet players and ground players - Jet players get much more fun just flying the planes, dogfights are more interesting, and ground players can worry less about jets because aiming the jet's weapons at ground targets is going to be considerably more difficult. So you're saying that the only reason that jet griefers grief is because people on the ground pick fights with them... Alright... so lets say I'm flying my dodo seaplane around the map and I just happen to be at an altitude of 1,200 feet or below. You don't think some asshat is going to pull his homing launcher out and try to start something? Maybe I shouldn't be within range but really why should that be my concern? Picture that but with me in a lazer.. happens quite frequently. In fact.. just last week I was in paleto bay minding my own damn business. I wasn't looking for trouble. This motorcycle club crew was hanging out at beekers garage. I drove down to the helipad next to the police station(they slowly started to trail me) and as soon as they noticed I was about to enter a hydra they opened fire. I was pissed. I personally don't like hydras so I came back four minutes later with a P-996 and showed them what god looks like. Then they started texting "OMG JET NOOB LEVEL ### TRYHARD." I asked why they opened fire in the first place and their response was..."Derrrr.. well we don't like jets.... so we shoot on sight.." I proceeded to call them out, letting them know that its not a good idea to start f**king with other people unless you have a good reason. You never know who you're truly picking a fight with sometimes. I can't say for sure but with the general mentality this forum has I'm willing to bet anyone else here would have told these guys the same thing in my case. l Marksman God l

The very fact that you then back-peddle (yet again) is proof of this. You should report this conversation so it gets cleaned up and you don't look like a fool, like you normally do, Have you agreed to meet any jet pilots on the ground for a man-to-child fight yet? Hunter
Well I think the answer mainly lies in jets speed anyway. They're quick enough to dodge missiles and that kind of thing, yet slow enough to aim well and pick people off with way too much accuracy. They should be more like this: They'd still be able to roughly bomb stuff; they just wouldn't be picking lone people off, not without bombarding them anyway. I go off the radar.. Jump on my bike. And i get back to back Sticky bomb kills on him then he goes passive. While passive he sends me a msg calling me an "Idiot and a Scrub" for using the HL and then using sticky bombs. When the HL didn't even kill him.. and sticky bombs and a street bike are no where near as OP as a jet. We then started to argue in public chat. He would not get over the HL... sticky bomb kills and me wearing a bullet proof helmet while i was riding a bike. Hunter
Well I snipe all jets I see, I hold up my hands to that. 9/10, a jet is trouble. Of course I'm a little biased because I like to fly helicopters - seeing a jet in the air means my favourite vehicles are basically denied. At the same time, if I'm in a jet, of course I attack people who snipe at me - why wouldn't I? They're not going to stop unless I'm out of the jet - at least, I know I probably wouldn't. I don't think it's worth saying "who's in the wrong - ground players or jet players?". They're one and the same. Sometimes I'm on the ground; sometimes I'm in a jet. It's just not that simple. Whether they're balanced or not, that's (kind of) worth discussing. l Marksman God l

XenoxX
To suggest a solution, Would it help to remove kills that are made with Jets from your K/D ratio?People do all kinds of things to get the ratio up, including griefing and spawn killing players. Addtionaly it is evidently easier to get kills with a Jet than with a weapon on the ground, I hope we can all agree on that one. So removing Jet kills from the K/D ratio would reduce griefing with Jets and encourage people just minding their own business with them/doing Free Mode Events, etc.

I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that every single [f*cking] time that I've been attacked by a jet, (and it's happened very, very often...) I did nothing to provoke them. For the people that are attacking you, you're flying around in the game's premiere griefing tool. It's an attack jet. "It was put in the game to attack people". When I see one making a beeline towards me, I ready the homing launcher because, 12 times out of 10, a strafing run is inevitable. Flying over the city in a Hydra and complaining about being attacked is like walking into a bank wearing a ski mask and complaining because someone called the cops. What's more, if someone attacks you, attack them. But the rest of the session? Really? One person chipped the paint on your shiny new jet, so you're going to grief 30 other people that had nothing to do with either of you (you know... since you have the power and mobility to do it with minimal effort)... And y'all complain because everyone is out to get jet pilots. If you only attacked the aggressors, sure, but as your post reads, if there were 31 other players in your session and only 1 of those 31 people attacked you unprovoked, you would start greifing all 31 players (if possible) as the result of the action of that one person. If that is how your post is to be interpreted, then that sounds like 1 case of being attacked and 30 cases of being the aggressor towards those who didn't attack. But nah, all jet users, like yourself, are totally passive until you attack them* *WARNING: You do not have to actually attack a jet for you to be attacked by one so long as you share a lobby with someone who does. Even if you have no control or association with this individual, you are still subject to repeated jet attacks, unprovolked but totally justified somehow, as a result of that one individuals actions. Remember, you're the asshole who allowed that person to attack the jet so you're equally responsible, even if you were across the map and had no way to know or stop this person from attacking said jet. SkynetOnlineID
I was just in a lobby with a friend against 4 other players in the same crew. My friend knew a player in the crew and told me in a that they terrorize lobbies a lot. Suggested to join to see it for myself and do something about it if I wanted to. I've never seen such cheap tactics used before. They all stayed close together only spamming the RPG's, grenade launcher and marksmen rifle. Using the quick left and right wiggle movement, combat rolls, modded accounts that had level 8000, RPG to the ground when low health (even when it wasn't done by cops or a player who just died). Well I decided to beat them all at their own game and I certainly was. Only tactics I weren't using were the combat rolls and killing myself every time my health went red (I think constantly doing those tactics puts you in more of a disadvantage). I remember at one point I was shooting one of these players with a marksmen rifle and they were shooting back at me with no cops around them. We both had the same health at the beginning. As soon as I got close to killing them a sticky bomb he planted beforehand explodes underneath him. Then seconds later one of them tries to go off radar for a sneaky move. At that point I just went to go get a jet and killed them all a bunch of times. Not because they were winning or getting more kills on me when I was on ground, but because if ground players are going to be using cheap overpowered weapons/methods, then I might as well be using the most overpowered one of them all. I started to get the typical "get out the jet" messages. They tried snipering, RPG'd, homing missile locking onto my jet. All of them even joined a Playstation party me and my friend were in just to complain about the overpowered tactic I was now flying in. I just found it extremely amusing how stupid they all were but for doing the exact same thing but on a slightly smaller scale. My friend just told me to keep on going. It's a shame I had to leave shortly after but by that time the lobby was pretty much dead and some of them went into passive mode. Honestly I think most players hate jets because they haven't mastered flying and killing in them without using homing missiles. There's a small amount that just hate the trolls/griefers who use them because they're overpowered along with a lot of other things, I agree with them. And y'all complain because everyone is out to get jet pilots. ...I'm going to go ahead and conclude for myself that the players that complain about pilots are the people that antagonize and ridicule them in the first place. We don't just randomly decide to go after one person just out of the blue, we are human after all. This is the first time in 17 pages that I've got nothing. That is the single dumbest thing I've read in this thread. After I read that, I had to take my hand off the mouse, fold my hands in my lap and just sit quietly as I absorbed the ludicrousness emanating from my screen. Holy sh*t. So if you're complaining about us pilots, somehow or another its because you're actions brought consequences that your salty about. It is not our problem that you're an ass. I can't count how many times someone has sent me a text in game calling me a jet noob when it was in fact it was them who started the altercation. So you're saying that the only reason that jet griefers grief is because people on the ground pick fights with them... i can say most of the time jet griefers start griefing because ground players provoke them.like i have said many times before, i normally get on my jet and start flying around peacefully til someone on the ground start either shooting at me with a sniper fire or try to get me with a homing launcher, totally unprovoked attacks, so i proceed to grief the session. flying around in peace when this 3 guys start shooting at me from the yacht, i knew they were trying to bait me into the yacht defense trap, so i flew away, but this is the case all the time, jets get attacked from the ground all the time, but hey we are the bad guys when we fight back. I don't know that greifing an entire session because 1 or 3 guys attacked you is technically considered "fighting back". Remember, you're the asshole who allowed that person to attack the jet so you're equally responsible, even if you were across the map and had no way to know or stop this person from attacking said jet. its a thing that go back to the biblical times... We Are Ninja
I might have been flying this huge attack helicopter near you, but it's totally not to blow you up! So don't shoot me! Well actually, I kind of did, but I'm sure people get the point lol. I wasn't sneaking around the corner to give him a cuddle. On topic, if someone's sniping at your jet, they can be a pest, and usually you need to deal with them. At the same time, if you don't snipe jets down before they're a problem, they'll usually become a problem. It's a tricky situation. If a helicopter is in the area, I'll figure out if it's armed (and if it has any reason to be hovering near me) or not before I start firing. Same with planes; if they're unarmed, I disregard them (even though I have had pilots attempt to crash unarmed jets into me on several occasions, LOL). But I can't say that I've ever seen anyone in a Hydra/Lazer that was just out for a friendly cruise... Hunter
