Vanilla Modkit Problem

Hey Guys,

 

since the 617 update i have a problem with some vanilla modkits in the game. (blista2, sultanrs, banshee2, and maybe some other i did not test yet)

 

i have installed 52 cars as addon.

the folder is called mprealcars and its located in update-x64-dlcpacks, where all dlcs are.

 

for sure i modified the gameconfig for the amount of new cars and the dlclist.

i also modified some the german language global.gxt2 file in the "mphalloween" dlc, to have the original car names showing up ingame.

i tested the gameconfig, the dlclist and the language files - they're working.
also ALL mods of the 52 newly added cars are working.

the only issue is, that if i put the "dlc.rpf" into my mprealcars folder, the mods of the blista2, sultanrs and banshee2 are not working anymore.

So it HAS to be caused by one of the cars or by the carcols meta inside.

my question is now - what should i do ?

 

i took modkit values that are not taken yet, but now i am not sure anymore about the blista2 value for example.
the sultan rs value ist 130 and the banshee2 value is 131 inside carcols.

 

i really dont want to test other values on all cars and modkits, because i know that some modkits will not work with other values.


my question is know why does the modkits of the banshee2 or sultan rs dont work, if i put my selfmade DLC in the game ?
theyre not taken by me or everything else an everything works in my dlc.

also the modkits of the cars in x64e are working too, like schafter2.

i really dont know what to do now and i hope someone can help me here.

EDIT: it is definetly MY carcols meta, if i delete it out of my dlc the other modkits of the three mentioned cars are working.
i will take a look at it and maybe change some values.

but scripting is correct, otherwise all my ADDON modkits wont work or ?

I noticed the same problem too , mamba verlierer2 cognoscenti (maybe more i don't know) are no more upgradable at lsc , but cosgnoscenti and other cars from this dlc are still upgradables :/

 

Ids of my modkits are good too , i just install Rasputin's m1 procar dlc and it had no lsc option (but carcol is good ) i change modkit's number and it's ok now .

 

So i think that some modkits from the last dlc (maybe 2 last dlc) are related to some unused modkit's numbers , we'll have to test every car more oftenly now maybe

i am now working on my selfmade carcols and carvariations, that i am starting at ID value 1001 and going up, so that there is REALLY no possibility of using a ID thats already taken by rockstar.

but i think you are right, that we have to change the IDs of some rockstar DLCs ourselves to some that work :D

i mentioned another problem after the last update:

if you "build in" some cars as addon to the rockstar DLCs like mphalloween or some others, NO id is working.
this is the reason because i built a whole new DLC by myself.

but you know what ?

my goal is it to have at least SO MUCH addon cars by myself, that i can competly forget about the vanilla cars.
than modify the popcycles to spawn them real cars in traffic and than its all good i think isnt it ? :D

ok guys,

dont know what was the mistake, but know everything works.
maybe i got too many tuning kit or something else - maybe light values.

heres my current setup with everything working. tampa, verlierer2, blista2. banshee2, sultan RS etc.

low70 is like lowering up to 70% - same to low140
the cars without visible mods have those kits now.
coronas front back is for me, to know what light ID i give to a car.
light ID where a car name is stands for THIS car using the ID of the written car. (you dont have to make a light section for every car inside carcols)

maybe if you people do like me your problems are gone too ?

PS: some light IDs over 1000 wont work so i set them lower.

I don't build no more cars in rockstar dlc , i'm putting all cars in one dlc , for the moment i have 20 cars in one dlc that i made myself , and other dlcs : yca pack modified , vansmods modified , aige pagani and i8 ( by modified i mean i added cars from same authors in these dlcs , added their updated cars or added real names for the cars , modified handling and flags)

 

My goal is the same as yours , get rid of most of the vanilla cars and mainly only see modded cars in the game , trying to keep cars from missions and other stuff original so i don't have memory errors like when you do stock car race with modded cars and wrong tuning parts

 

I haven't yet try to fix the vanilla lsc problem , i'll look at your id kit ;)

 

So far as i know banshee 900r , sultan rs , verlierer2 , mamba & cognoscenti have carcols problems (but it's not a problem for me as i don't use them lol)

Ahah problem solved with my dlc : one of my car was using kit id 971 and it was the problem :)

 

Still got other dlc conflicting , looking for them lol

Making a new dlc from scratch , not using anymore dlc from other guys , will be the best solution ^^

i am wondering why i just can not go up above the ID value of 1023 what the skyline got.

maybe it belongs to "how good the cars are modded", but not even a single car i tried since then, can have the 1024 or 1025 for example.
the modkit cant be found by the game than.

if i change the ID to lower than 1000, it works directly without any problems.

i am searching the gameconfig for values that could affect that, but changing doesnt get any possitiv effect yet.
We will see ^^

Yep i noticed it too , over 1023 it doesn't work , 1500 works but 1501 no :/

 

Good-nts said that in next openiv we'll be able to decript .ymt files , i'm can't to be able to decript original carcols.ymt to see it

so far i'm using ids between 992 and 1023 ids kit (same as yours , i had ids below 980 and some below 400 but got rid of them)

 

and only one light id for my 20 cars : 1012

 

everything working fine , thanks , and if i find other id numbers that are not conflicting i'll give you them here ;)

I think R screwed up here. I indeed had a dlc with modkits 892-9somehing and they indeed caused unrelated vanilla modkits to stop working.

 

This leaves us with precious little modkits abilities.

 

As it stand I have utilized almost all modkits in that range, only about 10 more to go. And luckily I use a generic modkit for all cars without visual mods, otherwise I would have already had a problem.

With the latest update whichever aggregates can have at most?

 

I have several cars not using pieces tuning, do not need carcols.meta right?

only need the carvariations.meta and using this line: 0_default_modkit?

I say to reduce the numbers of ids.

thats right, but 0 default modkit is just lowering to 5%

if thats enough for you ok.

 

otherwise why dont you make a modkit like me

name it as you want, give it an ID.

 

one ID take more or less isnt a problem or ?

 

than you can go a little lower

the truth is that low little car, I would like to come down more.

 

the problem is that I had to remove many aggregates, now only 80 cars can enjoy as max.

did you check that all original cars like banshee sultarrs modskits are working ?

I can not tell you because I do not use cars stock, but you can edit any carcols.meta any car

It would only be necessary to add new lines carcols.meta any dlc and updates the old carcols.meta

 

For example adder, only need make new line carcols.meta and add in any dlc :)

It is the only way you can edit the meeting carcols car staying eg x64e.rpf

 

To have 200 cars addon, as it should be exactly the gameconfig?

dude your neccessary values are so high, you can do even 500 cars as addon :D

 

 

leave it as it is and enjoy :D damn haha

WTF guys.

 

i found another problem, but maybe its just my game.

i installed 28 modkits - the 29th crashes the game.
but its not the modkits or the data themselves, its a line inside the content.xml

if i add lines into data files and -filestoenable- for a 29th modkit it crashes the game.

i dont know what to do now ?

Hello. Since you seem knowledgable, I hoped you can help me with my problem. Since the new update my game won't start with my Mods folder, which has all modded cars inside. These are in the typical RPF files - x64e.rpf, update.rpf, etc. On the Ragepluginhook site, it was mentioned that the problem might be that the RPF files lo longer fit to the new game version. What can I do to play the modded cars again? Do I need to put them in the new RPF files manually, or is there a better way?

have you updatet you mods folder too ?

 

you have to copy the january2016 and the valentines folder into updates x64 dlcpacks.

 

and than you have to copy the whole update rpf folder to you mods folder again.

 

than, if you have any addon cars you have to update the dlclist file and maybe the gameconfig, if the max car number is reached.

 

if you have done that and its still now working it belongs to the rage plugin and you maybe give the scripthookv a try.

Create one global_mods.rpf and move all tuning parts here - it's gonna work too, tested with IVPack.
