Deathmatch issues? Why people don't like them?

Man, what I've said stands. Frankly, you can take your "communities" and your jobs and stick them up your pompous arse. All the creator has done is damage the game right from the start. Just try joining some random jobs and you'll see.

It's both good and bad.

I try to showcase the best, but in the bigger picture, creator is both rewarding and damaging to the larger community, that's the point being made here, rather directly!

Rockstar could help a lot by deleting sh*t and verifying more, I would like them to go as far as verifying 'creators' rather than just single jobs, but it seems like Rockstar don't care for verifying stuff, and would rather showcase jobs, and not always the best jobs either but jobs that are made by Youtube personalities.

The big problem is that a lot of stuff is low-brow but the most popular, like Rockets vs Insurgents. Fun to do maybe once or twice, but to play it obsessively? Likewise, freemode Kuruma/Insurgent-driving RPG/sticky bomb-spamming warriors can't really appreciate a deathmatch with a fixed weapon set, as they cry about not being able to spam RPGs and other explosives paid for with all the money they cheated on last-gen.

Those types are the majority, the segment of players that can actually appreciate a tactical designed deathmatch with a fixed weapon set is small.

Something we've got to come to realise is that the average GTAOnline player is usually an immature kid, happy to spawn kill players on spawn trap maps with dodgy names like $$$$$x999999RP, and that us, a relatively small crowd who has an appreciation of well made content are probably only representative of 1% of GTA players.

One of Rockstars biggest mistakes was the lack of weapon setting options;

Owned and Pick Ups, players outside of a general well doing etiquette will generally resort to any over powered weaponry, the other option....forced and pick ups....if the action stretches across the map, and it's free aim (you miss a lot) you will very very soon run out of ammo.

However they make modes with a selection of weapons, why couldn't they afford that freedom and option to creators too....instead of starting weapon, about starting weapon set with plenty of bullets too...IV didn't have this issue the whole map was packed with weapons and each pick up gave far more ammo too....

Fair enough if you feel like that about it. I just think your comments lack creditability and are unfair but there's two sides of this coin I can somewhat relate to as I've had my fair amount of frustrations in the past with plenty of random badly made jobs. I never join random jobs through the join option learnt my lesson there years ago. Luckily Rockstar implemented a option now so you can set it to join either Rockstar Jobs only or user created jobs only or both so if you really hate created jobs that much just stick with what Rockstar made.

Take the good with the bad, I think us old school IV players preferred the game when it was limited to about 20 races in total, 7 locations for TDM and proper modes like Cops n Crooks and Turf War, not gimmicks like adversary modes and sh*tty remakes by non-CnC players.....and of course the matchmaking was better, because it wasn't diluted with diabolical bullsh*t created by every Tom, Dick and Harry.

We just have to adjust our mindsets to realise that GTA in order to be enjoyed has to be played amongst friends and small communities of like minded players, because it is so rare that anyone random ever joins anything worth playing (it's probably less of an issue in autoaim casual circles)

I think people jus make these crappy "$99999999999$RP99999999999999RP" because they think that people will fall for it, when ether I see one, instant rejection

Friends and small communities gets very boring though. The invite system doesn't work at all because no one in freeaim takes a random invite because it'll take them straight into auto aim. So we are left with the quick job option, which rarely works, and if you limit it to R only jobs there's even less chance of getting a game.

My personal opinion as an old, cranky and cynical man, is that many video gamers of the current generation have simply no appreciation of being a good sport. (playing a competition where no side has an advantage, other than skill) Along with that comes the attitude that if they aren't good at something the first time around, they will scream and cry like babies and usually give up immediately. (as many people quit deathmatches, rather than finish them when getting ass kicked) Along with that comes these horribly unfair deathmatches where the creator makes some glitchy way to escape a pit of death to farm some kills to pad the ol' KDR. Many have been burned by these.

I thought the titles were jokes. I really thought it was just an ironic title. You mean people really believe they will receive a ridiculous amount of $ and RP and whoever created those kinda maps thinks people will believe the title?

Their Gamertags are usually stuff like "SwaGGy-McGanGstA-2k10" and will happily stream their new Lil Wayne beat down to you via their mics whole 56kbps mic, gee wiz SwaGGy thanks for taking advantage of the fact this game still doesn't have a mute all function!
