I'm trying with the Brawler but I'm arriving at the mountain about 5 seconds later than I do with a Bati. Closest I managed was a 1:32.

Got nothing else so I guess I'll keep trying, maybe looking for alternate routes.

Little bit off-topic, but I have a question: I always do the TT with the Bati. But if I crash during the trial, I can't get back on my bike untill the time runs out. I noticed this problem at TT 17, the problem was not occuring during TT 19 but showed up again at TT 20. It's not a big problem, but I can't respawn anymore so I have to ride back to the beginning of the TT everytime I fail. Do some of you have this problem as well? And do you know how to fix it? Tried changing sessions, didn't work.

That is strange. I have fallen off my bike in every time trial at least once and it let me get back on it and restart the time trial by holding triangle. Are you playing on ps4 or xbone?

Yes, this was the cause indeed! Thanks

It'll happen. This is very doable by the Olegs of the world. The trick will be the ending part without getting your car turned around on those hills - bikes are so much better at that, and there's a lot of up-and-down to screw up your trajectory on this one.

For what it's worth (maybe not much - I haven't watched the videos in here yet), this was my route. Map below, shortcuts in red. Got exactly one second under par with this. Basically it's the GPS route with two small shortcuts at the beginning and one huge one over the mountain at the end. I also tried taking the tracks out of the power station and meeting up with the road just before the convenience store (this seemed a bit slower, and you end up driving against dense traffic on a pretty narrow stretch of road for a while); and I tried taking the tracks all the way to the final mountain shortcut (definitely seemed too slow, no matter how much I kept trying to steer myself onto the rail).

One interesting thing about this is that if you make good time, you'll get on the mountain at the end with seemingly tons of time (20+ seconds), and then start chewing your nails as you realize just how slow it is traversing that area, even at your best speed. The grass and the ups and downs really hang you up. I thought I was going to beat this comfortably, but ended up absolutely flying down the final hill and hoping to get to the finish line without crashing, because I was completely out of control trying to make sure I beat the par.

1:25.1xx after a few attempts, quite a lot of traffic incidents and a couple of silly pine related deaths

Nice info

When looking for alternate routes for the Brawler, I found the one I edited on your map in green, right at the start. Go through the industrial place car park, smash through the fences and get on the train tracks. Cut into the highway near the end and proceed to climb the mountain. Shaves a good 3 seconds from the time it takes to get to the mountain. Obviously has the added risks of crossing the road.

I'm looking at 1:28 right now, but the mountain bit is too inconsistent.

You have to practice it a few times to really nail it, but basically you can ride through that little ravine for a couple seconds and then make a low jump up to the road. I felt like it was saving me a second or two vs. the hard left turn onto the road everyone else is using (I see now, having watched the videos finally), because the physical distance is shorter and you barely slow down. However, you do have to understand where to turn and where to aim so that you jump back out of that ditch without catching a ton of air. It's not a major shortcut at all so don't spend a lot of time mastering it; if you can make the hard left at good speed, you're doing well anyway.

That's a good path but it won't work on a bike, you can't get through the fences consistently without crashing (I tried). For cars it's great.

Is there a good way from the railroad tracks to the hills? I mean somewhere before the tunnel. Can't try it just yet and i don't remember how it might work out.

Question arises from the fact that no-one has done this in absolutely ludicrous time yet. If you guys shatter these with 20 secs to spare, i have a good chance to make it in decent time!:D

Since in last and that one earlier from the sawmill R* seemed to miss the railroad, i was happy when i saw that this might benefit from them not noticing how much they helped.

What exactly is the point of doing these time trials?

1,000 beautiful virgins come to your house to satisfy your every need. Seriously. I got them queuing down the street.

I tried to get straight to the tracks like the green line too, off the bike every time.

I found out that ignoring the train tracks and going straight from the car park to the highway is the way to go. This is totally doable on a Brawler, should be doable for top supers.

You get $50,000-ish for beating the par time (only the first time you beat it). And you get the satisfaction of having done something hard. That's it.

Have you tried taking your green line path, then continuing on the same trajectory across both sets of tracks and merging back with the highway? I'm not at my console now to check if that path is possible, but it looks like it might save a few seconds while still getting you on asphalt ASAP.

That's the one I meant by going straight to the highway from the car park. It definitely is the route to take.

Niiiiiice. Congrats!

On an unrelated note, now that Rockstar has changed the auto-passive thing, has anyone tried using a friend's Cargobob on one of these? It's sleazy and I'd never do it to beat par for the first time myself, but I remember a lot of effort going into trying that back when time trials were first introduced; with passive off, it might actually work now.

Yup, best way seems to be tarmac, then over the mountain when you see the railroad bridge. There even is a kind-of-a-path over the hill.
