Multiple Cities in Single Player DLC? (speculation)

Recommended Posts

.Smaher.

It's not easy to simply add San Fierro and Las Venturas into the game.

Here's the thing. The main reason I think LV is possible os because of the codes with Trevor and Casinos Casinos the past year or two. It looks implied that it's not just one Casino. I think Fun posted a picture of another Casino in LS besides the one near the hills.

I'm just wondering how Rockstar could make such a big emphasis on gambling culture and not include the most iconic place for just that; Las Venturas. There's also some cut content in the game files of the Police scanner saying "Ventura County".

If other parts of San Andreas don't even make an involvement, then don't expect it ever coming to a next installment.

Once they stop updating the game and possibly release a DLC, then I think it'd be showing its age.

None of this makes logical sense. So if SF and LV dont appear as DLC, we'll never see them again in another installment? No. Just no. That makes absolutely zero sense.

Also, Ventura Boulevard is a famous place in LA. It's more than likely a leftover from a beta name for a county in LS.

I don't know what Funmw2 posted, with due respect to him. He is just a tipster, not a R* developer.

Also, how can you come to the conclusion that the main reason LV is possible is because of the codes with Trevor and Casinos?

There's a casino in V, so why dream about an entire, separate city?

Do the codes explicitly mention the possibility of a LV by mentioning a seoarate city, road, or whatever, that belongs to LV?

This logic of Casinos = LV, makes no sense to me.

They can also add another Casino within the current mapn as well.

Similar to how Benny¡¯s Original Motor Works was introduced.

Once they stop updating the game and possibly release a DLC, then I think it'd be showing its age.GTA V still feels like a last-gen game in next-gen shoes. I want to see a brand new Rockstar game exclusive to eighth generation hardware. Hopefully they've been cooking up a new engine all these years because RAGE's latest iteration seen in GTA V certainly isn't anything impressive. In other words, GTA V on PS4/Xbone/PC isn't a true next-gen game. It's simply an upgraded version of its last-gen build using a handful of refactored next-gen tech, like volumetric lighting and stuff.

If a story DLC or two actually released then I'd probably be more enthusiastic towards GTA V's legacy, but for now, I simply wish for the game to die down so Rockstar can shed some light on their next project, be it Red Dead III or Agent. Too bad Rockstar's Online babies eat up those low-budget, reskinned updates like candy.

Anyway, I'd like to point out that Rockstar hasn't announced a new game in four and a half years since GTA V's 2011 debut.

Thanks for the link. Interesting read.

A lot of potential sequels were definitely in question for the guys at Rockstar, but I just can't imagine their incentive for a Bully sequel. It was a more zany game fitted for the PS2 generation, seeing it reimagined in HD on Rockstar's current engine would sorta be uncanny. I'd still buy it and love it, but I really think their next game is going to be Red Dead or maybe... Agent.

Either way, we probably won't get a game announced/released until 2017. 2016 will easily cater to more GTA Online BS and maybe a story expansion.

I kinda agree with Smaher. If we dont get SF and LV expansions in any kind of V DLC, then you can safely assume that it will either not happen for an extremely long time, or maybe not at all. I've said this before, this is Rockstar's best chance to create a HD rendition of SF and LV, because if they don't, then we won't see it for a millennium, if ever at all.

This. Said this nearly two years ago. Just give us a new GTA game, much better than V and IV combined, and set in VC, South Florida.

Imagine how cool it'd be if R* put a rendition of the Bahamas or even Cuba nearby Vice City?

It would be the Wind Waker of the GTA series.

Leslie Benzie's leave ruined the V DLC. Benzie's left in 2014 and never came back. Before he left, they discussed a SP DLC. But since his leave, R* has denied any evidence of a SP DLC.

Besides, R* wouldn't release 3 brand new maps (2 new, 1 expanded) on a 2.5-3 year old game.

That's a valid Theory. Leslie could have been the 'Champion' of the Single Player Gamer at Rockstar, but others there were simply chasing after the Money.

Why does this image keep showing up? It's piss easy to achieve this look on the PC; ICEnhancer + one of the many tree mods + maximum draw distance = SP DLC confirmed?

Oh nice. If the shades of the trees or whatever don't match, then it actually might be legit. Or a mod. Though a tree-color-changing mod does seem farfetched.

Forget the leakers, I'M the new GTA psychic.

For real now, I really don't see why Rockstar would add a new map. Scratch that, I do, to sell more shark cards, but from an exclusively SP standpoint, EfLC and (to a lesser extent) Undead Nightmare showed us what great stories Rockstar could tell by exploring the same setting from a different point of view and looking at other aspects of it: TLaD's biker lifestyle, TBoGT's nightclub scene, UD's... zombies? Hey, I said to a lesser extent.

TL;DR: Southern San Andreas has way too much storytelling potential for it to be wasted on new cities. Still would be cool, but not really necessary.

I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of map expansions. I can't see them adding them to last gen, but I could see them releasing stand alone versions with new maps (similar to GTA III era releases) for last gen, and then having them add on to the current map for next gen and PC. I doubt we would see any DLC that is of the same scale as say a "GTA Vice City" or a "GTA San Andreas", but we have no idea what Rockstar's plan is. IMHO the GTA V engine on next gen and PC is perfectly fine to give us some smaller scale GTA games (like the size of TLAD and TBOGT) set in new locations to hold us over for the next few years until the inevitable GTA 6. This would also keep GTAO fresh for the next few years with new locations. Southern San Andreas is amazing, and huge, but after 3 years playing across 3 platforms, something new would be nice. Hell, Rockstar said themselves that the dream would be to have one huge GTA world, where you can go to multiple cities. Nothing is impossible, and we have no idea what type of stuff they created for other areas during the development of V. They could already have some decent ideas made up for a San Fierro or Las Venturas. Only time will tell.

The Benz had nothing to do with the potential of GTA V Story DLC. Anymore ludicrous theories surrounding him and I might begin to think that not everyone here uses logic.

LOL

If SP DLC comes out, it will just have more missions, few new characters, few new vehicles(cars, boats, planes), new weapons and at BEST open up the interior of Rockwood Mall. That is about it. It is ridiculous to think Rockstar will come up with new cities or even expand North Yankton LOL.

I'd imagine a new story within Los Santos for no more than 18 minutes, pool game and the characters can now have flamethrower, but it only works within 3-inch distance

Rockstar has already said that their dream was to put every city they made in one game and with GTA online and next gen they said they have the capability of adding any city they want from around the world and with p_t_a online and next gen they said they have the capability of adding any city they want from around the world so I find it hard to believe that people don't believe that Rockstar will add more cities. It's not like they wouldn't benefit from adding more cities financially. They sold over 50 million copies of GTA 5 and yes a lot of people return them because there's plenty of other games to play but if they released more maps you can guarantee that people will buy GTA again and purchase that DLC

Lastly, Liberty City, does anybody still wonder where that Liberty City pic from Funmw2? I've thorough analyzed it and I still can't see any resemble to IV. IMO, this picture looks way too smooth to be from IV. And I highly doubt it's from an EnB. The trees look as smooth as Next Gen trees in GTA V. Not to mention, the trees in the foreground in the same exact place in IV aren't dark green but they sure are in the leaked pic.

7U2JXK7.png

I know I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but as I was playing GTA IV tonight, on my way to do a mission for Packie in a stolen helicopter, I noticed the foggy skyline and I couldn't help but remember this pic, I positioned myself as best I could and quickly took a few screenshots because the sun was setting, I'm using iCEnhancer 3.0 with no tree mods accept for the additional textures that came with the ENB. Then I noticed a bug, when I flew in closer, the trees would change color from auburn to a lush green, and back to auburn when I flew further back. If Funmw2 is really the one responsible for this pic, he's got some splainin' to do because without a shadow of a doubt, that image is just GTA IV using iCEnhancer.

And here are the rest, for those who underestimate how drastically this mod changes the look of GTA IV.

There is absolutely no chance that Rockstar will release multiple cities. The claim that a DLC will be released is shaky enough as it is, despite how much faith we would all like to put into it.

Why would Rockstar release something bigger than V itself, as a goddamn DLC!?

The only real possibility is that instead of releasing GTA VI, they release GTA V2 or something of that nature.

I don't know why exactly everyone keeps talking about a liberty city expansion, that is not going to happen it would be really stupid to make that move. However with all the casino talk in the past of we see a city expansion we will get the surrounding cities of San Andreas in gta 5 which I believe would be the best dlc to date. There will be no vice city dlc vice city I'm sure will return in a brand new gta game eventually but not as a ddlc.sp my personal opinion is that no expansion dlc is in development and if it ever happens we will see Las venturas and San fierro but probably not both maybe just Las venturas because I see no need for San fierro I don't know what they could do but hopefully be get both, but last gen will not see these expansions we know that for sure.

The Benz states "Weve got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do, The Benz laughs. We dont know what GTA VI will be, but weve got some ideas. GTA Online is the focus right now. There aint no rest between finishing V and then Online. "Plus we have some other things stuff, DLC, I dont know how to describe it exactly that wed like to do, and well pick the right ones".

Does this not raise a eyebrow? Imo Rockstar are up to something Amazing
