Jobbo Posted January 18, 2016 Share Posted January 18, 2016 Spawn Sentinels and sell them every 48 mins. Try not to miss the time slot. Be a VIP (if you're saving, you should have $1m in your bank to qualify). Do Sightseer as often as you can. In a Buzzard if you have one, or start it from the heliport and borrow a chopper. While waiting for the timer to allow you to do Sightseer again, do contact missions - don't do ones where there's a risk of failing, but do make sure they unlock at a high level to get the best pay outs (Chopper Tail, Trash Talk if you have a Buzzard, for instance). Repeat. I didn't have enough cash for a yacht when they came out, but I bought one for my main character over Christmas and I've just bought one for my second character. Still got $3m in the bank. I'd recommend the Pisces with only a paint job to keep the cost down. Choose a name before you can afford to buy it because it's $250k to change. Not that hard to make a new account if you've already used your transfer. Recoverys aren't even that expensive and even then, that's not what I'm talking about. A few minutes of cash drop is $1-$3. Commander S Posted January 19, 2016 Share Posted January 19, 2016 I'm finding you can do solo VIP jobs back-to-back, and it's not too much of a chore, since you can mix 'em up (and likewise the objective locations are randomised, so it keeps things from getting to monotonous).Sightseer is an easy $22,000+ - all you need is a fast car/bike or a helicopter (or even better, a Swift or Hydra if you own either), and you can get it done in five minutes.Hostile Takeover - depends on what you pick - if you use an armoured vehicle (Kuruma is great for this), the Altruist Camp or LSIA ones are easy (shoot a few dudes, pick up the briefcase, drive to the drop-off, profit). $14,000, and you don't even need to get out of the car! Lastly, Asset Recovery is only really worth it if you choose a decent car - depends on the starting location. Paleto Bay or Sandy Shores just gives you a Blazer or Lectro - it's only a 3-star wanted level, but the payout is $9-9,500, so not worth bothering. Instead, pick Vinewood (Stirling GT) or La Mesa (Comet) for a decent payout*, and easy access to railway line - if you stay on the train tracks, it's a doddle evading the cops until the drop off, and again, it's another $14,000 for your efforts.*Mission Row gives you a Dominator, but that's only $13,000 IIRC - Vespucci is a Pigalle, but being FWD and miles from a decent getaway route makes it more hassle than the others. There's a cooldown of about 10-20 minutes between repeating the same activity (i.e., doing Sightseer, then Sightseer again), but it's only 4 minutes maximum (sometimes less - sometimes no cooldown at all depending on how you time it) between different VIP jobs - so you can do one, take a break to stock up on armour/ammo or whatever, then go straight into another. Tails Prower Posted January 20, 2016 Share Posted January 20, 2016 The post above is good if you don't want to get the maximum out of VIP work but doing a mission in between VIP jobs stop the VIP timer (not the cooldown timer) though so you can extend the life of your VIP session and also get extra cash. However making money over a few hours a night from missions and the first heist is simplest. Since December I have gone from under a million to 3.6 million and I only play 3 or so hours a day so it won't take you too long to get the yacht. One time just to make it interesting, I drove each car and parked it with a sticky bomb where I thought it would take out the most NPCs with it. Like I parked one next to the pumps at the gas station and a few others I parked blocking busy intersections. I left three cars in the lot bunched up together near the fence and waited until a pedestrian was walking by to get hit with shrapnel. Gave me a three star wanted level and a nice chase lol. Usually though I just race there, park all the cars close together as quick as I can, place one sticky bomb and blow them up as I'm leaving, then go to Ammunation and browse weapon upgrades and new outfits until my 10 minute timer is up. I like to wait at least 12 minutes for a good payoff. Costs $600 for one sticky bomb and you don't need a bulletproof vest or snacks or ammo to do it. Just patience. Which still results in a chance at gettng caught and banned . . . then you can't play at all. . . assuming again that you can trust the guy you're paying or who is dropping you money.
