i never thought i'd say this, but this sh*t is making me consider switching over to XBox...

 

apparently, a way around this is to stay signed out of PSN before launching a game, at least with GTA V

 

launch the game, then once single player loads, pause the game, go to online, sign in through there and it should work (it's worked with me most of the time)

 

 

 

 

but it doesn't help that R*'s servers are absolute dog sh*t also, so i catch myself having to cut my PS3 off a lot because of that constant "Timed Out" bullsh*t...only tells me it wont let me join a session, and if i restart the game, then i'll just get constant disconnections again. it's really annoying.

or move up to PS4.

except that i heard PS4 had this same problem not that long ago.

 

I haven't had any issues. It was down for most of one day recently, but nothing other than that. No system/server is perfect.

All joking aside I know this post is old but the only solution when PSN screws up is to wait it out bro. I mean there really is no other options.

some friends of mine said they were having this issue with their PS4s a while back. i can't tell if it was the same problem as on PS3, since i never looked it up, and this problem seems very selective of who it screws over. never understood how Sony manages to f*ck the server up for some people, yet others will somehow be perfectly fine...

If you're still having issues and are on a wireless connection try port fowarding Playstation Network ports from your router website:

Edit: I'm on PS3 and I'm having no online issues.

my ps4 keeps telling me some crap about online data not found. then it loads up a laggy game that ends up in a network error while joining...

thats been the last few weeks. then had that 3-4 days of services unavailable.

All weekend me and all my friends are having issues getting signed out constantly, yet their site says there is no issues.

Are they getting attacked again? ANy info

 

in a funny way you look like the automatic answer i get when i submit a ticket to Rockstar about connectivity issues lol

 

what do you say is that all of us had the same issue at once and everything is fine? ..

PS3 here. What's been working for me is load up story mode as mentioned, but don't just select online from the pause menu and let it prompt you to sign in to PSN. Instead, pause it, then tap the PS button to bring up the home screen menu and sign in that way, then go back to the game and select online with fingers crossed.

 

Funny enough, once I finally was able to get on this past Sunday, it went most of the day without kicking me off; might have even been the longest stretch ever. Under normal conditions even without these recent issues I get the "signed out of PSN" error message after five maybe six hours.

Well according to psn support chat they are having no issues. They suggested I start console in safe mode and rebuild the database and I did. I thought it was supposed to take a while but it was almost instant. Not sure what is going on. Now reinstalling gta updates.

I've been on all evening with literally zero issues from PSN. I was in a session with 28 people, that has dwindled down to 5, so GTAO is running as normal as well.

Something is up with PSN as a friend was telling me he was trying to download the PS Plus free game for PS3 yesterday and it signed him out

and when logged in it was asking for his card details to process a free transaction?

 

Have not turned on my PS3 since December but I would imagine these are temporary problems that will be rectified, as it stands I was able to play

online all weekend but there were a couple of times I thought PSN was gonna kick me offline.

I've been getting signed out on ps3 lately when on YouTube.

Had the issue happening today as well. Was just doing some races to see if I can set a quick time and I couldn't even finish a simple 10-lap race without getting signed out.

I've had a lot of issues recently in two regards, the first was trying to join a public quick job/mission. It repeatedly hangs and I have to reboot it after 3-4 minutes. The second is how difficult it is to just invite friends to join my darned missions. It's always saying session full, not sending the invite when it said it did etc.

Psn is having major issues on PS3.It sucks getting kicked offline every 15 mins, on every single game including gta online.

Sony fix ya darn servers.

Been having the same trouble since sunday. Just got a system update for ps3. 4.78 installing now. Hopefully this fixes the issue.

I just got kicked out of PSN and tried to sign back in and got this system software update as well, hoping this fixes the bullsh*t

This has happened to me almost every time i play GTA since release back in 2013.

 

Some days i dont get signed out of PSN, but i get errors galore, other days i get signed out of PSN so frequently i either have to find another game to play or i just get pissed and ragequit from gaming for the day lol

 

BUT this ONLY happens when i play GTA online, no other games. Every other online game i play i have zero connectivity issues. Its because cockstar uses cloud servers.

Logged onto GTA Online for the first time in a bit today. Logged on three times booted from PSN within a half hour each time.

 

Feels like the old days!!!
