Today I died in a mission, as well as everyone else, aside from a player whose character was a very distinct old man with a big nose. I sent him the message: "nice old dude" because I like seeing unusual people and he replied "He's Leslie Nielson."

 

So it got me thinking. How have your favorite movies or tv shows affected your GTA character?

 

One of my favorite horror movies is the movie Ravenous which makes me one of the few people who ever gave even the slightest crap about the antique cavalry dagger.

 

I also have a blue trench coat X-Files outfit and matching Stanier.

 

How about you, got any movie/tv inspired photos, outfits, cars, quirks, whatever? If nothing else, at least leave your favorite movie.

But I don't hate vests.

The only time I've had films influence anything I've done on GTAO was when I did a video showing 10 ways in and out of Fort Zancudo on a motorbike. I used the music from 'The Great Escape', as it seemed the most appropriate, and the first jump in was called 'The Triumph', which was the type of motorbike Steve McQueen used in the film when he escaped the prisoner camp.

 

There were several other film references in that video, but they were more subtle.

 

Incidentally, I too love Ravenous. That's a great film, and I love the outro music. Kudos OP.

I used to go around with a Hitman look on my character, even had the license plate to match, still do.

I no longer have the stingray in that configuration as i put it back to the judges car from hardcastle & McCormick but the other 3 (A team van, hardcastle and mccormick coyote, and rockford firebird) are more of my TV cars.

Ghostbusters ecto 1 i tried to do when the slamvan2 was storable. the logo appeared sideways for some reason. i never did find a crew with a sideways GB logo to fix this lol.

 

for awhile, i had the Gullwing mercedes as a BTTF delorean.

 

 

I'm sure there are more i'm missing like the stinger as the Ferrari from Ferris buller's day off (one of my oldest creations and still have) and eleanore from gone in 60 seconds (2000 ver)

I've never done any character creation stuff to try to replicate faces or anything, but a lot of my outfits are movie inspired, and I'll do hairstyles/beards to get close enough. When I first started out it was Butch from Pulp Fiction, I've had a couple of the DeNiro looks from Heat, plus Val Kilmer's look from the final heist, Ryan Gosling from Drive, Forrest McNeil from Review, Llewelyn Moss from No Country For Old Men, probably a few more I'm forgetting... Right now he's styled after Leonard from Memento.

 

Car-wise, I've had a Christine inspired Tornado, Back To The Future Rebel, I feel like there was something else, but I don't have it anymore either way.

 

Edit: I remembered, and I do still have it actually; a Vigero inspired by John Cusack's Camaro in Better Off Dead.
