The Odyssey
Okay, so yesterday I was messing around with some of the San Andreas files while trying to install mods and caused my game to mess up pretty bad. I decided I'd just uninstall San Andreas completely and pirate a new version. Once I did that, I reinstalled DYOM V8.1 and Cleo 4.1. Everything was working fine (DYOM and single player) until I tried playing a mission on DYOM. Whenever I tried to load up a mission my game would crash. Here's some necessary information: I'm using Cleo version 4.1 I'm running the game as an administrator, running as a normal user doesn't work for some reason. I have some unnecessary files in my San Andreas User Files and San Andreas files. The only mod I have installed besides DYOM and CLEO is San Andreas Multiplayer. Editing missions works, and loading up editable missions works. Its only when I play them it crashes. The game crashes after I click the mission name. Thanks in advance for any help. AnDReJ98
Install the game again and put DYOM into the clean version, then make a duplicate (so you have two GTA SA folders/directories) and install SA:MP into the other one, since the problem is probably due to Multiplayer installed into the same folder as DYOM. So now, you will have DYOM and SA:MP separated and it should be working. There was a guy not long ago who had the similar problem only due to having multiplayer installed into the same folder as DYOM, so it didn't work properly. Try this method since it helped him to get everything working again. Edited January 18, 2016 by AnDReJ98 The Odyssey
The Odyssey
Still doesn't work. I got rid of my old San Andreas directory completely as I don't play SAMP that often, so when I reinstalled I'd have a fresh San Andreas file with no other unnecessary files in them (still have my User Files) and yet, when I installed Cleo onto that directory and tested out a mission it still crashed in that exact same spot. Alan Eastwood
I had the same problem when I couldn't use mods in the Steam version, but I managed to use them by dowloading a different exe called GTA SA Hoodlum v.1. Try it. http://mixmods.blogspot.com.ar/2012/02/gta-sa-v10-us-hoodlum-no-cd-fixed-exe.html
AnDReJ98
Yeah i forgot. Those are basic things, you should have gtasa version 1 and a proper crack (hoodlum). In any case, here you go a tutorial step by step.
