Apologies if this is a completely old suggestion, but has anybody attempted this route? Feels a lot easier (and safer) than that treacherous riverbank dirt trail featured in the traditional route.

This video was only my second attempt and not a winning run. I was mostly trying to just get close to the end to grab a video of the route but as it happens I don't think I was too far off. However I could certainly improve the start, take far greater liberties through the winding section of Route 69 and also milk the wheelies loads more along the Great Ocean Highway.

And this is on my Hakuchou. Surely this would be more than doable on a Bati?

I attempted that route on my very first run on a Bati. I think if someone tried really really f*cking hard they could probably just about make that route a winning run but it wouldn't be worth the time and effort if you ask me. I'd bet that it's barely possible.

I would take the rail line route via the sawmill if you don't want to take on the riverbank trail. In fact, that's what I did.

Look back through this thread brother. Yeah that is a viable route, but I think the railroad tracks are faster.

Managed a 2:45 on Monday. I'm sure I can do better though.

Wednesday: 2:42.91, just about 3s better. Hoping to get under 2:40.

Yeehah! Saturday, 2:36.3 after a LOT of trying.

I don't think it makes a difference, plus I wouldn't as an un-armoured bike starts smoking after literally 3 accidents

Got 02.42.423, an improvement of almost 10 seconds from last time. Just goes to show what a small change in route can do.

Damn, looks like continuing down the rails till you hit a viable road is the way to go.

I tried my best to improve my time, Both with Hakuchou and with Bati.

But I couldn't for now.

Atleast I beat olegs Bati Time aswell, Unless he still has some time he hasn't posted.
