Rooftop rumble and extradition

Rooftop Rumble is not as easy as it once was unless you own a Hydra, Buzzard or Savage and I suppose OP doesn't have any of those since he wants money.

Anyway, I don't know what missions you could do, sorry. However yesterday I did a missions with some randoms that simply asked you to steal a camper. Good money if you ask me

wtf you need a hydra in rooftop rumble, did rockstar add jet npcs in the garage(Somewhere inside me, I know they'll do it)

....to kill enemies?

It gives the NPC's a wake up! LOL.

Hover just across the storm drain and you can lock onto the NPC's in the garage with the missiles and kill them taking no damage, now the

document spawns in a car you can let rip without fear of a mission fail.

Tis quite nippy on foot without the Armoured Kuruma as I found over Xmas when trying to record a play through of this mission on foot, lost

track of the number of deaths my characters had.

You're playing it wrong then. I actually prefer doing this one on foot. Tried with the Kuruma over the weekend, saved no money in ammo, took me longer and I actually had to re-armor once. Haven't tried it with a buzzard though...

So pray tell what is the best foot method for doing Rooftop Rumble then if you consider I am doing it wrong, I consider myself to be an expert

knowing all possible ways to do this on foot and by vehicle, 75% of the time there will be at least 1 death doing this mission solo.

I would be interested in your method?

Start:

Place Stickie in the middle of the X-walk in front of the building. Do this from the parking lot across the street.

Place a Prox mine in the middle of the alleyway behind the building.

Go back around the front and use the 45* wall as cover.

Shoot the two smokers. Do this quick or else one will run in and be a PITA to shoot.

Wait, watch the two red circles run out. Cap these guys when they run out. About at the same time the Fugitive with the 4 guys will drive up. Set off your sticky. Bonus points if they have a chance to jump out because flaming bodies :)

Walk over to the side of the garage close to the edge. Using 3rd person watch for them to pop out of cover, when they do take aim and fire. Go in short bursts, their assault rifles will shred you pretty quickly.

Once you get the guy/girl from behind the pole and the guy that is behind the fugitive (so you don't have any more crossfire) pop out of cover, hug the edge of the garage wall into the inner doorway. Go back into cover.

You have 2 options here:

1) shoot it out with the professionals - until you get 2 of them down their ARs will shred you quickly.

2) toss in a grenade. - this doesn't get all of them but it'll reduce them down to one or two behind the Grainger by the door.

You're now down to 1 red circle. You have another choice:

1) run down the street and set a stickie at the intersection.

2) just continue

Toss a grenade at the doorway where the last red circle is in. It will set off the Fugitive the last guy is using for cover and spawn the last two Fugitives.

If you used a sticky at the intersection wait for the Fugitive to almost get to it then set it off. It may take one or two times to get the timing right. Otherwise, chain gun them or wait for them to stop in front of the building so use your car as cover to kill them. The proxy in the alleyway will take care of the other car.

If you don't know where the meeting location is follow the courier to the farm and shoot it out with the other guys. If you do then get in your car, fly by him and set up on the hillside opposite the farm. You'll see a bush about midway up.

1) If using the heavy sniper- snipe the two guys with one shot by the Grainger. I try to line up the head/neck of the near guy so I get a chest-shot on the other one. If you kill both the other three won't notice. When the courier shows up kill the guy on the right. You may now either wait for the remaining two to kill the courier or kill him yourself. then kill the remaining 2 guys.

2) If using the regular sniper wait until the courier drives up then snipe the guys on the right of both groups. They are the hardest to snipe when they go under cover. Try to shoot the middle guy before he goes under cover, he tends to fidget just as you are trying to shoot him through the Fugitive's rear glass. You can wait for the remaining guy to shoot the courier (They start shooting each other once the courier starts firing) then cap the remaining guys using the sniper.

Head down the hill and collect the briefcase along with any dropped money.

Now you can either head straight to Madrazzo's or do what I do:

Go left and follow the path back to Madrazzo's stop at the liquor store by the Blow Up II lot and rob it. I usually kill whomever is in there too. Alternately, you can go to amunation nearby, kill Fred and rob that place too. After that go to Madrazzo's, go take a piss then finish the mission.

What? RR is a piece of cake solo. Before engaging the mooks, drive around and park up on the bridge at the rear. Lob a grenade at the car at the rear entrance to get their attention, jump down and get to cover by the bin right outside and wait for the mooks to come at you. Once they're done, go back around the front and grenade the two cars. Wait by the stairwell for the first backup car to arrive, ice them and THEN start taking out the mooks inside. Once the area is cleared, run through the car park out the rear entrance before the rest of the backup arrive, use the bins to climb back up to where your car is parked and wait for the target car to appear. Spin around and plug the f*cker through the windscreen. Grab the briefcase and get to f*ck before the stragglers catch you. No aircraft required.

If you want to play Potshot, CCIII, or Coveted, look up people posting playlists on them from the social club. Remove them from your game and add them again if they're already added to your game. I can find them as gold star missions on my map. You can set the time of day and weather in them, like a deathwatch, race, lts, or capture. They're still fun!

Honestly, the easiest money on earth is to play Check Out Time, you can kill the driver with one shot, snap a photo and be in Madrazo's driveway in 3 minutes. Just chill until the 8-10 minute mark for best $. Or just play LS Connection like everyone else will suggest.

You're better off turning in the mission right after the 4 minute mark to maximize your $ per minute. Doing two 4 minute missions at 50% pay each in 9 minutes will get you 30% more cash than doing one 8 minute mission at 70% pay.

Another good one me and a friend have found is easy to solo, and can net up to 18K per time (take your time, and don't die!) is "Flood in the LS River".

The simple tactic for this is "clean and quiet". Its in the LS river basin, so park your vehicle a little way down stream of them, at sniper range, and climb up the bank next to the high wall. You can also go around the bridge, and stand on the grassy bit above the river, opposite the place where they all are.

Quite simply, sniper the lot of them. Take your time as well. Go in, collect the meth, then go up the grassy slope on the opposite side, and straight up the road and left towards geralds apt. You will get a couple of chasers, but they will lose interest if you drive fast enough, and you can deliver the package safely to him.

Average payout for quick completion (around 5 mins) is $14400, though we hung on until the 10 minute mark and got $18K.

The time consuming method

Drive towards the shack along the subway tracks. without activating the red dots. Snipe the people in the garage, (heavy sniper works best) if some get out of the garage take cover and use a rifle to take them out as they come near.

When the number of enemies in the garage is low, activate the red dots and snipe one more of the enemies. As the car with 4 enemies comes shoot them from cover. When taken out drive to the wall between the two entrances. Use the sniper to destroy the Fugitive, then the granger in the back, taking care to hit any enemies not killed by the explosions. Do the same to the other vehicles. Leaving one enemy hiding behind the gauntlet. Kill them, then get in your car and drive to the main street where the car with the package appears, ignore the other two cars with enemies, follow the car with the package and shoot the driver, pick the package up and deliver to Martin. 19 out of 20 times you will not die provided you use good cover. I usually get about 15k for finishing Rooftop Rumble this way and use just the Heavy Sniper, pistol and mini SMG

So pray tell what is the best foot method for doing Rooftop Rumble then if you consider I am doing it wrong, I consider myself to be an expert

knowing all possible ways to do this on foot and by vehicle, 75% of the time there will be at least 1 death doing this mission solo.

On Maneuvers - 19,710

Rooftop Rumble - 15750

Defender - 15540

Trash Talk - 13720

Blow Up 3 - 9930

Not sure about all of them, but if you are patient enough to wait out the 8 minute timer on some mission before going to the glowing yellow finishing point, your payout will be higher.

Rooftop Rumble, for example, pays out up to $28,000 if you do it with a full group. Solo, after the 8 min. yields about $23,000 I think.

But, I still groan in having to grind a mission for 30 minutes just to walk away with a piddley $23,000, which can't even get you a Primary Chrome coat on your car or a Loop horn. <sigh>

Blista Compact in the snow is exceptional due to it's front wheel drive and reflective chrome awesomeness. That's right, drool, hobos! :)

Why is it that I'm broke for starting this thread? How do you deduce that from my two posts?

I'm level 279 with more money than I know what to do with. I just happen to be on the west coast and play pretty late to where no one is on. Just looking to switch it up a bit.

If you want to grind Potshot I think these playlists (16x) still work:

PS4: http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/ps4/playlists/playlist/rHCQH-yIo0aMjNrTy11shg

Xbox One: http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/xboxone/playlists/playlist/9pknJ84TyUOS5JtpJRT75A

Also time yourself. End the mission right at 4 minutes for the most cash per minute.

Rooftop Rumble pays $29,250 with 4 players on Hard after 15 minutes, or $22,500 on Hard solo. You can make $11,250 in 4 minutes on Hard solo. (8 minutes Hard solo is $15,750.) If you wanted to grind only Rooftop Rumble it'd likely take about 6 minutes per 4 minute run, making $56,250 in 30 minutes. (Or $73,125 with a group of 4. Which would also speed things up because one player can stay by the parking garage while everyone else delivers the document to be the next host.)

...never said it's not a piece of cake, just that it takes more to finish than in the past, when Rooftop Rumble was commonly used to make tons of money.

You can do it by your own without using any aircraft, but it's easier with it

Basically, anything you can use a chopper to easily finish, such as:

For minimal effort and risk with good payout, Trash Talk all the time.

Blow UP III has a bit lower base payout than TT, but uses the same principles and involves less actual playtime when using a chopper.

LS Connection, if you pick up the cash crates, and if you don't want to wait around to increase the payout. To get the last set of crates, don't use rockets in the airport hanger or you will destroy them; using the cannons on the Savage or Hydra is alright though. As of writing this, one XB1 you can't fail the mission by accidentally destroying the package either.

CCO3, but this requires either a playlist or bookmark carried over from 360/PS3.

RR, especially if you use a tank from the Pegasus spawn a few blocks to the north.

VIP Missions. Sightseer is very easy when with friends or by yourself, of course, especially when using a chopper of any sort to move faster. Hostile Takeover at the Altruist camp is really fast and easy when using a chopper or jet because you can kill everything from the air, land, grab the package, take off before the cops reach the top of the hill (they only trigger after you take the package), then easily lose your stars while flying to the drop-off point. You can get around $16K for three or four minutes of play time doing this method.

Deleted the text to avoid long quote trail but our technique and method is the same.

The problem I believe with this mission is the amount of rapid rifle fire that can shred your character very quickly, it does not

seem to matter what angle you stand at if you attempt to make any move out of cover you will die but the second problem is

the hero NPC's that run out of the garage to shoot you, that never used to happen and is the main cause of my demises

because even if you're ready they are sneaky and will sometimes get behind you even if you're in cover.

I still stand by it's far safer to play this with a Buzzard/Hydra/Rhino.

All the obvious choices have been posted already, and I do most of them when I want to mission for a while, but one of my favourites is Cops Capacity. You can race through it with a Buzzard, Savage or Hydra, or take the yellow Dominator that Lester supplies and go for it in that. If you do it on the ground then it's pretty much full on from the first explosion. If you don't do it too quickly it's decent money and RP. It's not the best of either, but it is good fun.

Indeed, you can generate a nice payout for Cops Capacity by my tried and tested method (posted before but I'll write it again), requires a bit of

knowledge but good once you know how.

Get in the Dominator and drive to the cops cars, set two stickies but don't detonate, drive across town to the police compound at Vesucci Beach and throw a grenade

at the riot van to detonate, you'll get stars so make your escape and loose stars on the beach nearby.

Go back to the cop station at Rockford Hills and set two stickies on the bike groups then drive out to the Prison Bus and set your final sticky on the bus

and detonate all vehicles and make your escape from the cops then go to the final destination to complete the mission.

Nice - I like that. I did something similar with Trash Talk recently where I put a sticky on the trucks driving around the city and then headed towards the depot and blew them all up at once. I was very surprised it worked though, as stickies were nerfed or bugged ages ago and would disappear when you went a block or two away from them. That's either fixed or isn't an issue in missions - I keep meaning to check it in free roam too.

That sounds like a restriction in free roam only then, I've used the stickies method in missions for a long time

Trash Talk, Denial of Service, Blow Up 1/2/3 et all and never had them fail to detonate.

Sounds like the usual cry babies to R*

Inclined to think restriction, IIRC correctly there was that glitch of infinite exploding stickies/proximity mines in free roam so they probably

have them despawn after you move away to stop them going off constantly.

The infinite proximity mines bug is still there (much to my pleasure), and the sticky issue started way before we got proxies, so I'm thinking it was either deliberate or a knock-on effect from changing the cloud density over Paleto Bay. That's normally how these things go, isn't it? :p
