Expendable
I'd like to make some cutscenes using animations I've seen in the GTA animation manager. Is there a reason why DYOM only uses a few of the available animations for actors? Is there a way I can access the rest of the animations in the game using DYOM or do I need the mod the game another way? Thanks.
AnDReJ98
There is no other way to use the rest of the animations that are unavailable in DYOM. The only way is to wait for DYOM creators (Dutchy3010 & PatrickW) to add new animations in next the DYOM version (V9). Curtis
plus i think the cutscene animations are for cutscene models only. correct me if i'm wrong
AnDReJ98
That's because there are two kinds of cutscene. The ''limited cutscene'', are the ones we use in DYOM (also represented in the actual game) and the other type of cutscene is ''animated cutscene'' outside the game (later implemented in). Simply, we can use animations from the limited cutscene but are (normaly) unable to use the animations from ''animated cutscene'' or how should i put it. The ''animated cutscene'' are the ones that look like a real movie, and the ''limited'' are the ones we can make using DYOM/Sanny Builder/CLEO from which DYOM has the simplest way (of course). While in GTA V, it's a different story, we have only one kind of a cutscene since the process of making two types of cutscene i explained in my post is a bit old and incorrect. Don't take me for a word, i don't know how to explain this properly since i'm not high level animator. So to make it clear, we can use animations from type of cutscene (limited) and we can't use animations from the of cutscene (animated). Curtis
it's a shame we can't select hot coffee animations is it? that's not a "special" animation. lol.
Expendable
Thanks. I understand what you mean: the cinematic cutscenes between missions in the game were added, not simple ones created as part of a mission to further the storyline. I'm just trying to understand why we can't use animations that are already in the game (the img file). One of the animations I'm interested in is an animation where the player dives, rolls, and then comes up in a crouched position, ready to fire. I'd love to use that in a cutscene. Others too. ...Maybe someday, eh? Also, it would be nice to simply enter the animation number instead of scrolling through them all to find the one you want. If you have a list handy, that would be faster and easier. The same for choosing peds. Just enter the ID number. Easy! ...Maybe in a future version. Thanks for the help! Expendable
Hot Coffee animations? Hmmm, that gives me a great idea... Yeah, why not? Those would be nice to use given the proper storyline. For the sake of the art, of course. lol Edited January 17, 2016 by Expendable
Curtis
Like they used "art" as an excuse for porn from the greek ages.
AnDReJ98
Yeah, hot coffee animations are the simple ones, they could be implemented in DYOM. CJ's girlfriends (naked) should be also added as actors. And you are right Expendable - All the animations from img files could be implemented, well there is the other type of problem, the space. There is not much space left for new DYOM features, but since CLEO 4 is here, it gave DYOM creators ability to suppress codes so it would make more space available for new features. So, that's right, they could add this in the next version. Expendable
Expendable
Like they used "art" as an excuse for porn from the greek ages. True. But in this case I mean "For purposes of realism." A gritty, adult storyline about vice would be the setting. Or simply a quest to become the King Pimp. lol Curtis

I think it's a good idea to include all the resources the game has to offer. Cutscenes with actors simply talking, dancing and other basic things will get old real quick. We need to use ALL the animations!
Curtis
Yeah i'm pretty sure that would allow for more adult stories and better animations than that ballscratching one. but i dunno if patrick would want to bring porn into GTA SA again, plus i think that would make DYOM get removed from a few sites. AnDReJ98
@Expendable http://gtaforums.com/topic/401861-ideas/ @RandomStunt Well, he could add animations separately so designers would have to aim when placing actors to make it look like sex. He doesn't need to add hot coffee option what means this could work without getting flagged.
Expendable
If you don't have GTA SA version 1.0, there won't be any porn, will there? (...I say "porn" although the actors are actually fully clothed.) Blowjobs are still in the game, no mod necessary. But I understand your point. So... Keep DYOM "clean" by skipping the adult animations when scrolling through the animation list within the tool, and make it so users must enter the animation ID number of any adult oriented animation they want to use, if that's their wish. Or simply allow users to import animations to the existing list. Adult missions would have a place off-site. I wouldn't want to stifle any creativity or judge what is proper in a game where we stomp protitutes to death and regulary kill in cold blood for a few dollars. lol. . Everthing has a place and a purpose. That being said, as I said previously, I'm mainly interested in having access to more action animations. Different things to use in cutscenes besides the same ol' same ol', you know? The cool dive and roll with guns blazing that I saw really interests me. Curtis
Yeah, Like sounds? now that i think about it, why can't they add skins and cars like they do with cars? that idea's too far fetched and complicated. i know it's impossible but just imagine how awesome that would be. Expendable
I think mods that alter the game files, like adding skins, new peds, new cars, etc., are beyond the scope of DYOM. For simplicity, DYOM wants to use the game "as-is" so players can easily add and remove DYOM missions without any trouble. But, yes, that would be awesome. HOWEVER, since they're hooking to imported sounds (as you pointed out), why can't they hook to imported skins, cars and even custom animations? I don't have the answer, but it seems like they should be able to do it. IMO. Edited January 18, 2016 by Expendable

Blowjob is not looped one, and is not in ped.ifp If i remember it correctly, only anims i this folder are used by dyom (except things like sitting in car ect.) Blowjob is in anim.ifp (once again, i think, do not remember) so they are not used. I'm still not sure where the hot coffee anims are, but it's maybe cause i have downgraded version of SA. And does anyone know, where the code for Dyom is? cause i can't find it anywhere.
atay26
there is actually a way to use any animations for the game. First get Gta Animation Manager, go to ifp and press open for example on_lookers.ifp, next go to Directory / Archive and select peds.ifp, now whatever ifp file you want to use for example sex.ifp right click it and press Open with options, a menu comes up with all different animation, tick which one you want, i used SEX_1_Fail_P and then you press append, when you see the the animation pop up on on_lookers.ifp, you have to delete one animation thats from dyom anims, i deleted Pointup_loop then i rename the SEX_1_Fail_P to Pointup_loop, Save the ifp and there you go, Sex animation for DYOM. If you want an easy way just simply download modloader and download new dyom animations Here is a youtube link to animations https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUDtS3dSr6E omigawail
atay26
i also want to say blowjob animation does have a loop animation. really all you have to do is open ped.ifp with gta animation manager and find it you don't have to do looped ones as well you know
atay26
gta sa 1.0 has p**n, the animations are all in ped.ifp or anim.img if i remember correctly. Edited July 23, 2019 by atay26
