What Rockstar SHOULD do is scrap the stupid classification system and then class cars by their performance solely. Not body style.

Sure, if you put in in that way, it's not a bad idea, I simply don't see the point in it adding another Coupe/Sports when there are dozens of other possibilities.

What? Can you read? Futo is already in Sports! It doesn't fit there at all! It should be moved to Compacts, where it belongs! The point of this topic is that it is TOO fast for Compacts Class! Hence idea of nerfing it down...

Where it belongs? Hahaha sorry for breaking the universal rule that IT belongs to that class.

I'll re-make my idea: instead of arguing about this stupid class thing, why not simply make another Futo? Everyone's happy, no one creates random rules from nowhere and that's it. Look at the poll if you want statistics, 44.4% doesn't care too.

Also...why did you start talking about the Clean Racers? Oh right, because the rule of clean racing states that the Futo belong to Compacts, sorry. I'll just come back to my corner

That could be a good soution. Considering the compacts are slow in general, a buff to the compact cars will give the compacts class a slight kick in performance and speed overall. That would make the compacts class more fun.

I would rather they give it a bump in performance and slide it into the coupes class.

I agree w the first but not the 2nd...I don't think any vehicle should change at all after a week or two of tweaking to ballance it after seeing how the community uses it... but I wouldn't mind if they maybe added a spoiler option that significantly increase traction, but is entirely optional so nobody's cars just up and change while sitting in the garage...depending on the traction levels I think it could be fairly competitive on tight tracks all else left the same, including class.

or make a Futo racecar variant, lighten the weight (its already the lightest thing on 4 wheels), improve the grip, tweak power and/or gearing to put it in contention at the top of whichever class, sports is already a big class but it could fit. Maybe just give it a little bit more grip and a bunch more power to keep the slidiness to differentiate it and keep the Futo character.

In my opinion it shouldn't be nerfed nor moved to the Compact class since it would be too overpowered compared to the other cars. I suggest adding another version of the Futo for the Compact class and leaving the other in the Sports

Futo in its current state is not designed to be balanced in the compacts class. The top speed is way too high. I know a lot of people take Broughy's track times as gospel, but most Rockstar made races are not as balanced as his Cutting Coroners GP. In most default tracks, top speed is king and a Futo would completely defecate all over a Blista Compact, Rhapsody or Panto even if you slightly buffed them or slightly nerfed the Futo.

 

To elaborate, in order to make the Futo balanced in the compacts class, they would have to completely change the stat distribution to a point that it would no longer feel like the Futo.

 

Plus if you move the Futo, then you obviously have to move the Penumbra as well. Let's just settle for BC and Moonbeam, if Rockstar even does it. They haven't even fixed the obviously incorrect Armoured V12s, so it's probably never happening.

I like having a custom I can use against a friend with no customs when we're grinding and we refresh and it's all races...a stock massacro is obviously still going to rape a fully modded futo or schwartzer etc.

 

Btw is there a decent thread to educate me on the varying body styles on futos as well as I believe the varying visual mods that can be applied to them...?

Maybe they should allow the host to pic sports a/ sports b or sports c lol

The spoiler thing is all I know about. I've never heard about any body style differences, other than the body mods at LSC.
