"Nerfing" Futo

This is question for people that race in GTA properly! If you don't, please leave!

As we all know, Rockstars way of categorizing cars is awful! Cars like BC, Moonbeam, Oracles etc. are placed in the wrong classes, not only by their body style, but also in terms of performance. But theres one car that is very difficult position Futo.

 

 

You see, Futo is really behind in Sports Class, alongside with BC, and it really shouldn't be there. Just like BC, it should be in Compacts Class. I know what Youre thinking: "But Futo is 2-door Coupe and its based on AE86 that is also 2-Coupe". That is true, but IMO its closer to Compact class than to Coupe Class. The problem is that it's, unlike BC that should be clearly in Compacts, too fast to be in that class (according to Broughy's tests, for both

)! It's in no man's land, too slow for Sports and Coupe and too fast to Compact class. IMO it should be nerfed little bit. Top speed is the problem.

, its faster (top speed wise) than Kuruma, Buffalo S and even Elegy (119.5mph/192.5km/h)! I love my Futo, and I love the way it handles, but I would prefer if it was more competitive, rather than being in the back of the class!

 

Do you think, that moving it to Compact Class is a good idea? Or do you prefer it to be in the back of the Sports Class? Or maybe you think that it should be moved to Coupe Class?

PS: Yes, we know that idea of classification of cars is sh*t. I agree with that, but please, it's not what this topic is about...

PPS: I deleted "I don't care" option, because I want to hear opinions of people that do care, that race competitively etc. instead of opinions from people that can't read properly...

TL;DR Futo is in Sports Category, but it's too slow in that class. The whole point of that thopic is that should it be left in Sports, moved to Compacts with nerfed performance or to Coupes.

Move it to compacts and buff all other compacts performances to match the Futo.

I don't agree it should be nerfed, but it should be moved to compacts class.

Most people suck at driving, so only pro drivers would be able to get this thing around the track faster than in a Rhapsody or a Panto.

Well, I see your point of view, but not changing performence, may cause it to be too OP, in CC, like Schafter V12 Armored Ver. is in Sedans.

Neeh it's just ok. Not every car should be done for racing. Futo is a nice drift car.

I don't agree with nerfing anything. I don't give a f*ck what the deal it, NO NERFING. I don't race. So I don't give a sh*t about any of this. Why should I I be affected, why should my Futo be slower/perform worse because of some dumb racing categories?

 

What Rockstar SHOULD do is scrap the stupid classification system and then class cars by their performance solely. Not body style.

This. Sure, she's fast, but she's a handful and a half to go where you want and fast. I used to show up to drag races w my Futo and blow the doors off everything including Banshees if they didn't get a great launch, now I've got one w/o Turbo or spoilers and its a blast to cruise around in but can't even cope w a track.

 

I'd really rather have mixed class racing where a selection of cars that are competitive amoung one another are available, that would do a lot more for racing than any amount of switching vehicles classes ever could.

Futo should be moved to Compacts class.

Blista Compact should be moved to Compacts class.

Moonbeam should be moved to Vans.

Sanchez should be moved out of the Offroad class, or at least make it so you can only race other Sanchez's with it.

Schafter V12 Armored and Schafter LWB Armored should switch classes.

The only thing the Futo has, is that very high top speed that is on par with the top sports cars. So, if the Futo was moved to the Compacts class, it would be very dominant on even short straights due to its very high top speed. Plus, it's already 2 seconds quicker than the Rhapsody, which is the best in the Compacts class. A good driver in a Futo would dominate all the other compacts. Also, it would be quite underpowered if it were to be moved to the Coupes class. The other Coupes will have much better acceleration and traction through the corners, and a few of them aren't every far off from the Futo's top speed. In terms of lap times, the Futo would be on the same boat as the Oracle XS and the Windsor, which are the worst in the Coupes class. The only way the Futo will get the upper hand in the Coupes class, is on the long straights i.e. highway.

Blista Compact should be moved to Compacts class.

Moonbeam should be moved to Vans.

Again, I see your point but I disagree. Futo's performence is meh (except top speed). You would most likely don't feel change at all. Also that's pretty selfish. You don't race, but how about a sh*t ton of people that DO race? The people, that want COMPETITIVE racing?

It would make much more sense to me to move it to Coupe class, performance wise and because of it's body style that is much more coupe than compact.

 

If anything, the Surge should go to compacts.

What? Can you read? Futo is already in Sports! It doesn't fit there at all! It should be moved to Compacts, where it belongs! The point of this topic is that it is TOO fast for Compacts Class! Hence idea of nerfing it down...

Also you clearly never saw "clean racer" in GTA, huh? There're entire crews with they own set of rules for clean racing.

I'll re-make my idea: instead of arguing about this stupid class thing, why not simply make another Futo? Everyone's happy, no one creates random rules from nowhere and that's it. Look at the poll if you want statistics, 44.4% doesn't care too.

Again can you read? I was referring to your "many crash into every box they see" statement. Also when I was saying that it belongs to Compacts I meant, that PERFORMANCE is close to the Compacts that to Sports, but at the same time it is little too fast... As for "idk" pool, I don't know why I put that there, because I want to know opinion from ppl that race in this game competitively.

I would rather they give it a bump in performance and slide it into the coupes class.
