Are You Awarded Anything I-Game For Upgrading To The Enhanced Version Of The Game?

26 members have voted

  1. 1. Are You Given GTAMoney?

  2. 2. Are You Given A Vehicle? (If Yes, Please Tell Me What)

As you know, there are many new vehicles and features on the Enhanced version of the game. I am unwilling to spend 400 Euros on a console to play one game, yet I desparately want the new vehicles and features.

Do you get anything in-game for upgrading? Money? A good vehicle? Anything?

If you don't get anything for upgrading, I won't spend 400 Euros on a console to play one game.

EDIT: An error for the poll was found. "Are You Given A Vehicle? (If Yes, Please Tell Me What)"

I meant "If Yes, Please Tell Me Which Vehicle"

You don't need a poll to tell what you get on the nextgen, lol. You can read this article on the Rockstar Newswire to find out what you get for upgrading: Details on Exclusive Content for returning GTAV players on PS4, Xbox One and PC

The only reason you want to upgrade is to receive some money or a new vehicle on GTA:O? It's not worth to pay 400 Euro to do so anyways, lol. But if you want to play an awesome game in a more enchanced version, you should do so. I bought a whole new gaming rig just to "play one game", and I don't regret doing so!

Yes upgrading is worth it + you probably won't be buying the console just for GTA. If you are an active gamer you will probably end up buying more games for your new console

I agree with this in that I wouldn't want to buy a console for one game, particularly if I owned an earlier version of basically the same game.

So I would suggest this: Only buy a console (PS4 or XBone or an upgraded gaming PC) if, and only if, you would buy it anyway without the game. Meaning, try factoring the desire for the extra GTA V features completely out of your decision. If you would still buy the console or PC upgrades right now anyway, then the game costs you only between $39.99 and $59.99 USD for the privilege of the graphics boost, Director's Mode, bonus vehicles, and extra content.

Otherwise its as you said, where you are spending 400 Euros on ONE game.

In my opinion upgrading to the PS4 isn't worth it yet. It's how they get you, with the exclusive next gen only stuff. If you do make sure to get the 1TB version because games have gotten a lot bigger in file size. GTA 5 alone takes up 50GB+ hard drive space. I think before it use to run off the disk.

You're paying £275 for a 1TB PS4 that has about 1.6GHz CPU and 8GB RAM. It's cheap but doesn't feel like something that's going to last.

I mean my PS4 is already making close to the same about of noise as my PS3 slim. I've only had my PS4 for 2 full months.

Better to just buy and build gaming PC. At least you can upgrade the parts that way.

You can also have up to 3.30GHz CPU speed and 16GB RAM on the PC.

But if you're like me and want to play online a lot without hackers/modders then you'll probably want to stick to consoles. I'm also doing it for the console exclusive games like Uncharted 4.

GTA V on consoles are worth it if you want the new DLC content for GTAO.

GTA V on PC is the same thing but given the option to install SP mods (also comes at a price of getting banned if you fail to take out modded files for online)

It's worth it over last gen, if you like the game, you'll like it more. It's not just graphics are prettier now amazingly. You get 10 vehicles I think, if you're a returning player, although 4 are stock cars and I guess wouldn't be counted as new, 6 vehicles and 4 liveries. A monster truck, sea plane and the rest are cars. There's more vehicles in traffic too. I remember getting the 500,000 bonus, but I think that was for pre ordering.

Buy ps4, get ps plus and download at least 2 free games a month, well worth it. I have built a great collection over the past year, and got some great deals on other items(no, I don't work for Sony) in terms of GTAit is so much better, too many upgrades to mention. Sort term lose but a long term gain.

No, he said UPGRADE, not take a huge step down to boring realism, much less gameplay, and a game that pretty much uses "eye candy" and a morbidly depressing storyline as a crutch because the game is all show, no go.

If it weren't for tbogt and tlad(That's how DLC is truly done) then IV would have been one of the least enjoyable games I played.

The real question is whether or not you want a new console. Getting a newer version of GTA V is great and all, but the decision should hinge on whether there's enough other games that you really want to play on the platform, or whether there's any games coming up that you really want to play.

I'd say it's worth upgrading to either the Bone or the PS4 simply because there'll be a load of new games in the next few years that you're not going to see on the last generation. That alone was what made me upgrade. Not for a specific game, but for an entire catalogue of games I was otherwise going to miss.

But if you really love GTA V on whatever platform you're on now, the upgrade isn't entirely necessary. The stuff introduced on CG V isn't particularly worth having in my opinion. The game is still a great game without those features, on any platform.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

Can't argue with this. I am quite surprised Rockstar hasn't yet milked the SP DLC market. Its a shame, but maybe they feel there is no money in it compared to Online? That's the only thing I can figure

Two ways rockstar can make a ton of money through SP DLC.

-Add casino and the nightclub-

-The big one. Add LC/NY-

I don't know if LC is a realistic expectation. I wouldn't mind it, of course, but if they are going to add anything in terms of more "real estate" with associated missions, I would expect them to keep it in San Andreas and add Fierro and Venturras.

You get
- Returning Players Content
- Free mode Events
- Lowriders DLC
- Executives and Other criminals DLC
- Tampa - Festive Surprise DLC
- As well as all the future DLCs.
- Unique Game modes
- Including some cool small extra features only available to Next Gen consoles.

If that isn't enough then you have answered your question.

I have an Xbox 360 which I don't play on since I prefer the PS3. Should I sell the useless Xbox 360 and buy the mighty PlayStation 4?

Yes. You should be able to move your PSN profile onto the PS4 so you can continue with your profile even if your not on PS3. There's not really any point buying an Xbox One if you didn't use your 360 much.

Will you still be able to use your PS3 PSN account? I still like PS3 games, EX: Burnout Paradise, Gran Turismo 5, GTA 4 [i only play multiplayer].

You should be able to use your PSN account itself on PS4. You might not be able to use your PS3 games though. It depends if the game itself is backwards compatible with a PS4 or not.

I think you will spend money on a new console at some point in future anyways.

So, if you have already experienced GTA V on last gen and you're not interested in Online then no point in buying another copy of this game for the NG. This year there are far..far ..faaar better titles coming out. If I was you, I wouldn't waste my money on this game again because there are only vehicles and some missions ( mostly boring ) along with better graphics as UPGRADE. I don't find anything interesting about NG since these items as upgrades really don't add more replay factor except for graphics and FPV.

The only thing worth mentioning is the Director Mode, that's it.

I mean can I use my PSN account on PS3 to play PS3 games online (Burnout Paradise Online is the most fun thing known to man) as well as GTAO on PS4?
