Should Rockstar enable the option to avoid the player created content?

Like other players, I don't play activities like deathmatch because when I want to join an one allways went in a "OMFG GLITCH 100000000$$$$ 9999999RP R* WILL BAN IT THIS sh*t IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" or "Inside the Frankling House" I just want to play a regular deathmatch. What do you think?

They did its in you're options

that only refers to Quick Job not invites. iirc.

Far as I know if you're on X360 or X1 you can avoid user created content by messing in the settings(I'm not too sure about this)

Problem for me is, for every decent attempt at making something good, there's 10 junk jobs you would never touch normally.... I make races, not Super class, more aimed at Sedans, and people like them when I run them because they're different! But I always get players who thank me for decent creation and doing it right, yet they wouldn't normally run them as too much player content is just drek!

I hope we get the mission designer eventually, I have so many ideas for fun jobs and no way to show them off in the limited rulesets we have! But the concept of a mission designer is too much of an exploit opportunity for the drek whores! Missions will flood in where you kill one person, who is stood right in front of you at start, and he drops 100k....

R* need to evolve their thinking with future GTA creator sets.

If there were 5-10x as many jobs being verified then we'd all be getting a much better GTA experience because jobs like these would get noticed and played.

However, this is the company that verified JUMPS JUMPS JUMPS so yeah maybe not.

I appreciate the effort of the players who create custom events, but I wish I could avoid those too. I really dislike when you choose to join a race and I'm sent to the "SUPER WALLRIDE GIANT LOOP" and worse part is when on free roam as soon as you join, it sends you right into it, or when a freeroam event is going and it doesn't show the name of it.

Also, I think when you enter a event lobby and leave, you shouldn't be able to rejoin the same lobby when I try to join another one. If I leave a lobby is because I don't want to play on it, it really annoys me when I'm sent again to it 5 more times.

Maybe, but then, where would the good ideas come from? It is the closest thing to legitimate Online modding, shouldn't that be at least rewarded for creativity? It seems like they stifle the rest of the murky business and it does offer the occasionally nice new content.

The new setting mentioned above should take care of this for you.

Changes have been made to matchmaking to help players find an active Job. Changes include:
  • A new option, Filter Quick Job Content, has been added to the Online pause menu. Players can choose to filter by: Any, Rockstar Created Only and User Created Only content when launching via Quick Job.

Ok...though some people did make great race tracks and other jobs, most people shoud get a hit in the face and a kick in the crotch to reward their creativity

Very true.

Maybe the only answer is to have a panel that actually test each submissions, before it goes Online and is available to be published? But the committal would be huge and need a dedicated team....

Catch 22 if you ask me.

I wonder if there's a way for R* to implement user created video uploads that give like a thirty second preview/overview of what the job/race entails. A dedicated user created section on social club with video previews instead of us having to use that bland job search function would be nice.

Still, there's just SO many awful jobs to wade through before you can find legitimately fun/challenging/entertaining creations.

Indeed...wich is almost imposible.

So either all player created content shoud be able to be filtered out from the oficial and bookmarked sh*t completely next time or just...lets not give that creator ever again

Submitting a job with 99999 in the title should lead to instant console permaban.

But think of all the kiddies that'll love/admire your loopy twisty boom boom races! Or spawn death K/D boosting!

If it's going to be in the next GTAO atleast add some sort of moderation system.

90% of user-created jobs out there are f*cking cancer.

I don't want to avoid all user created stuff...just most of it. :/

An option to pick which ones we ignore would have been better :/

Miss Malevolent

I wish they would.

Or be better at filtering out the dreck themselves.

I wasn't aware of such function, thanks! I'll definitely give it a try.

If they could do this along with stopping verifying (for the most part) total and utter bull-crap, that would be great.

How are there so many people in this thread who don't know that you can already filter out User Created Jobs?

And if it doesn't filter out invites...is that really a big deal in any way? Just don't join it then.

They should filter it out by average rating. If it has a lot of downvotes or people quit it (should count as a downvote, sorry) a lot, then it will have a negative rating. If it has a lot of upvotes and most people stay there the whole match it will have positive rating. That way original and creative jobs can still be filled with players while the trap DMs and stupid jobs are left abandoned.

This would also apply to invites. If you get invited to one of these it will automatically count as a blocked invite for the host.

The job creator should've never existed

Then GTA Online would be even more dead. We wouldn't have creator crews, full of Creator artists who play all together and rate their jobs between themselves so they can be noticed by R* and the community.
