Do you use all weapons or certain weapons?

People like the MC Community or the TDM players in free roam tend to stick to using assault rifles and marksman rifles only while others prefer all weapons..

I do try to use more variety but I always end up using the same things. But I do use the hunting rifle way more often than the average player. It's a beast.

 

The other weapons that I don't use clutter up the menu but I can't bring myself to just remove them.

i used to have all the weapons but after 2 years hoping for the possible addition of a gun safe at the apartments, i dropped most of my weapons.

Mainly use carbine rifle, but I've been trying to branch out a bit and use the combat mg. I have so many weapons I hardly ever use.

Certain weapons - usually the ones with highest damage / range.

 

I also like to use a shotgun when holding up stores and my Gusenberg Sweeper when just fooling around on easy contact missions.

I use the advanced rifle about 80% of the time, combat mg, heavy sniper, ap pistol and combat pistol make up the rest. I really should sort out my weapon wheel

Against other players I pretty much use My go to weapon wheel. Against NPC's missions/survivals I'll switch it up and add variety.

Only ever use the best in each class, except explosives where I use whatever is most adequate for the situation.

I use only the AP pistol, the Combat MG and the Heavy Sniper. Sometimes I'll pull out the Assault Shotgun if I'm expecting someone just around a corner.

 

Yet, I've bought every single gun in GTA Online. I've got "regret" written all over my face.

I like the powerful guns like the marksman pistol and the musket. The heavy sniper is essential for long-range. I also use the "bigguns" (homing launcher, minigun, grenade launcher).

 

Proximity mines come in handy for some missions where you know where the enemy will spawn. Sticky bombs can be used in a similar way, though I save them for any randoms who pursue me in freemode.

 

I'm a fan of tear gas. Great for using in missions such as Violent Duct and Gassed Up as you can KO the enemy without fear of destroying the package you need to collect.

when i transferred to PC i played enough of the story to unlock the weapons i needed to set my online loadout. i only switch to an unset weapon if a silencer is required.

 

the first time i played on PC, i was learning the keys and while aiming an assault rifle saw the notification "press 'E' to toggle weapon accessory". for a brief second i thought "sweet! you can toggle the silencer on NG/PC." yeah, no it meant the flashlight. sad face emoticon.

In freeroam my weapon choice varies depending on the case, but there is five weapons I use the most.

 

- Combat MG

- Heavy sniper or Marksman rifle

- Assault shotgun

- AP pistol

 

When situation requires explosives I pick the best one for the case.

when i fire up the game first thing i do is set my SP character weapons to the ones i use, since it sets your weapons for online too. then i go to online.

My friend mentioned he wished he had less guns yesterday, turned out he'd bought everything ever and didn't know about dropping them. We spent half an hour sorting him out - imagine cycling through every single pistol every time you want a sticky bomb while driving - he had some I forgot even existed, like the antique one.

 

The pile afterwards was impressive.

I only kept 2 assault rifles, 3 shotguns(including the useless musket i cant get rid off) and 2 guns in the mg/smg slot (including the useless gusenberg i cant get rid of)

Got rid off all smg's

Also in the pistol slot only the ap pistol and marksman pistol remain

Depends on the situation.Auto shotgun or SMG on close distance,special carbine on medium,sniper rifles on long distance,micro SMG or Tec 9 or sawed off shotgun from vehicles,handguns if there's only a few NPC enemies,explosives or heavy weapons to destroy vehicles...

Assault Rifle (Ak-47 style) all the time, I love that long barrel, it's the longest barrel I've seen in this game, along with the assault shotgun.

Does anyone know; if you drop the SNS Pistol, which was a Valentines Day DLC gun, can you get it again? I only use it very rarely, but I don't want to drop it and never be able to have it again.

 

I use AP Pistol for drive-bys because in every measurable way it's better than the Micro-SMG. I did hang on to the MP5-style SMG as a backup, because if you have Holed Up - Burton in your mission list you can get stacks of SMG ammo from it.

 

Shotgun-wise I mostly use the Assault Shotgun, with extended mag.

 

AR wise I generally use the Carbine rifle, although I also carry a Special Carbine with suppressor.

 

I still have the basic Machine Gun, just because it looks massive, but I almost always use the Combat MG.

 

Basic Sniper Rifle is set up with a suppressor, Heavy Sniper is used most of the time, Marksman Rifle gets used sometimes.
