Dat_impactz
"It can survive three direct hits from a tank, around four Buzzard rockets, three RPG shots, seven or more Sticky Bombs or around 20-25 seconds of constant minigun fire aimed directly at the engine" So when they say rpg shots do they mean the shots towards the engine or anywhere?.. Because if they mean anywhere on the vehicle..Then that's odd look at the first 42 seconds of the video, seems to absorb 4 rpg shots regardless Hopefully I'm just confused or an gta wiki being inaccurate Edited January 17, 2016 by Dat_impactz

Hunter
It seems to vary a lot more than the armour on the tank. Sometimes they seem to survive seemingly impossible amounts of explosives; other times not so much. Good thing you can just shoot lesser players out of them anyway. People always stay way too near when shooting; surprised more people aren't using them properly.

Dat_impactz
So does anyone know exactly how much stickies, rpgs (people stated it can take up to 9 or 8 LOL, i doubt it even with the ifruit+charles), and grenade launchers/grenades? Does the amount of damage depend on what systems you are on? (like the older gen consoles or the newest gen)
Midnight Vibes
It all depends on the server, where the explosion hit the vehicle, what kind of explosive hit the vehicle, how much armor it has, whether or not it's occupied, etc. It greatly varies and you'll likely never encounter the same result twice in actual practice. Foamysminion
How much sustained HE machine gun fire from a Lazer or Hydra can one take? Given the kind of damage a strafing run can do with one of those it has me curious.

Dat_impactz
It's outdated. R* nerfed it several months ago. So is the video outdated too then? So how much does it take for explosives to blow the insurgent up when someone is in the car or out? (rpg, stickies, and grenades) Or does it really depend on the server << I doubt it but educate me Edited January 18, 2016 by Dat_impactz
dieseltech20
No one here plays Rockets vs Insurgents? The Insurgent blows up on the 5th hit from the RPG. Last I checked you could strap on 5 stickies and take down a tank with it still. You will kill yourself but the asshole tank griefer will be dead. FrugalDangerMan
I think it also depends on the situation. I was a body guard who had my VIP in my personal Insurgent and we were doing some kind of mission. Guy in a Buzzard must have hit us with a dozen homing rockets and the engine barely started making noises.
Jpags305
Hey quick question...little off topic, but I just purchased the insurgent and I want to make it in the desert tan matte color....that color is locked...can I unlock that at some point or am I out of luck? Though I've survived a recent test until the 10th or 11th for some reason.

Dat_impactz
supposedly the insurgent pickup that I tested could take 4 rockets to the face and sides before blowing up on the fifth. Not bad I say
Dragon_Of_Tragedy
I was out driving my insurgent pick up yesterday when someone in a hydra tried like hell to destroy me. Couldn't do sh(i)t with 4 passes of his cannon so I'd say it's pretty tough. When did rockstar decide to lower the price to a million for it the bastards? I paid 1.3 something when it first came out.
