It has been a long time since the last post but nevermind, yeah I have it legit.

I got mine because when the open wheeled races were introduced I must have been one of the first that played some of the tracks.

I guess my answer is not up there, it should be,

Yes I did have a world record, for a few minutes.

I don't remember actually unlocking it, but I've had it since before April 13th 2014, so... glitched unlock? I don't actually know what the glitch is besides Rockstar Servers being Rockstar Servers. Reason I know that is because of this fella I've been subscribed to for ages, I had to check my own tattoo list when this got uploaded;

Yeah, anytime new races get added, I set plenty of records. But they soon get beaten as the day/week progresses, lol.

 

Great RP though, and one of my more favourite tattoo of the unlockable ones. My guy is covered in those unlockable tattoos, except any on the face, uugh.

It's tragic how quickly new races get those impossible 10 second lap times.

I held a World Record for 3 Months on “LSC Great 8” on my primary character and on my secondary I honestly can’t remember if I unlocked it by a glitch or due to a genuine world record...I have a feeling I did it on “Under The Wing” when they let you use Custom Vehicles for the first time.

I can't believe I still have this WR screenshot all the way back from July 2014 from the Xbox 360 days. Hard to think that the time set was actually the fastest as looking back on it it's pretty slow. Then got another WR on the same track on PC before the crap show of illegitimate times came along

Anyone can get it, all you need to do is be online when a new racing mode comes out, it's not exactly rocket surgery.

 

Got my first one when Cunning Stunts came out, it was on 'Forest' I think. When RC came out, by lunchtime I had every record until others came along and beat them, by which time I was bored of it and long gone.

I think this may be where mine came from. I remember I had a world record for cars and this was one of the tracks I played the most.

I also had some world records for boat and bicycle races. Don't think I have any now. I know one of my favorite boat races they removed years ago.

Yeah, I got it when the new airport DLC was released so I ended up busting my balls to beat an already set one on a new race. I did it though.

I know someone who has it. They logged in at basically 4 AM right after a dlc dropped and played a new race added by that update, and presto. I keep telling myself I should do this, too, and every update I forget to.

My son got me one. He's pretty damn good with the bike races and got the record when new stuntraces dropped a few years ago.

Sadly the leaderboard is completely flled up with fake cheater times. After all this time they can't even clean those lists up, so people can genuinely chase real world records. It's something I would most definitely enjoy to chase other people's records. 

 

IMWO just one of those things that makes you go mmmmm. It's a damn shame they don't check and clean these official database up...  Guess it's right up there with the modmenus still causing havoc after all this time... They'll never learn, I guess... A pity...

I actually did a combination of the two. I think it was like 6 hours after Mudslide was added and I beat someone else's lap time that was good but not great.

I think that's a big reason many hate the younger players, they're just not happy to be beaten by the youth.
