Can't start VIP work from yacht or apartment?

What gives? Kind of liked the idea of sending my bodyguards out to make money while chilling in my apartment.

Guess it wasn't meant to be. Anyone else feeling like this is an unnecessary feature?

I guess not but if you want pure pleasure and peace do a solo lobby as VIP and do sightseer. Im in bad sport so kicking back, doing sightseer in my buzzard all by myself, raking in good money.

Your apartment is wiretapped 24/7 that's why.

Lazy idiots like me?

Forgive me for thinking the VIP should have an easier ride than the bodyguards.

Idiot.

You can do VIP challenges from your yacht. I haven't tried from the apartment though. Basically, they run errands for you while you sit back and watch.

Get in helicopter move few feet from it , launch land and relax again , not 100% effort free but a pretty close 2nd

Nope, but then I'm not lazy and don't expect everyone do to everything for me.

Again, nope.

A good boss won't get their guys to to something they wouldn't do themselves.

No ego trip for you here.

Yep, because I'm obviously seeking an ego boost from Internet strangers.

On a serious note, getting others to "do the work for you" is a large part of the whole VIP system. If I have worked hard to have a yacht and $1,000,000 in the bank account, you're damn right I don't expect to do as much work as my "employees".

The whole VIP atmosphere is designed specifically to create a sense of boss and bodyguards, and as such the bodyguards (in my experience) are perfectly happy to do the work while the VIP sits back sometimes. It's part of the deal. Especially as they're getting a second paycheck every 15 minutes.

$1 million isn't much of a VIP.

You're confusing a VIP with a mob boss.

Okay dude. Didn't ask this simple question to cause an argument.

Using your logic, VIP hires bodyguards, everyone does the same amount of work, everyone gets equal cut, but bodyguards get $5k/ 15 mins.

So the VIP makes the least $ for their effort, even though they're the one who has gone through the effort to be a VIP.

Makes sense huh? No, it doesn't.

When your bodyguards claim a bounty or rob a store you get most the cash.

By your logic, the VIP themselves should be paying the bodyguards out their own pocket.

Becoming a VIP by reaching $1 million does not require very much in the way of effort anymore.

I agree. If the system was changed slightly to ensure the VIP could truly be the "boss", then the money should come from the VIPs pocket.

I'm not claiming it takes a lot of effort, but it certainly takes some.

The question has been answered now anyway. I'll just fly the chopper out a few metres from the yacht and launch the job from there.

If you need me, I'll be in the hot tub stealing all of my bodyguards money while they are off doing jobs. Why? Because I'm better than they are.

Fly to the coast, drop off your bodyguards, spawn them a buzzard/limo, start a mission and fly yourself back to the hot tub.

We should have a pilot to do this

That's a gripe for another day.

The pilot does F-all after being paid $1,000 to drop off the chopper. Should at least fly me back so I can sip champagne and surf the net on the way!

Im with you OP. I've given up trying to do my best in public sessions because its too much work. If im not doing 90% of the job as VIP in public sessions they wont be completed. I've decided to split up my 4 hours as VIP. First 2 hours i do VIP jobs in a solo session and ensure the jobs get done. Last 2 hours i join a public session and leave the jobs to the randoms. If a job gets finished we all win, if not then they lose.

What i've discovered doing these jobs with others is confirmation of what i already knew. Randoms suck at everything. Missions, heists, survivals and now these VIP jobs. Im amazed at how stupid and terrible people still are at this game. Jaw dropping dumb.

Just 10 minutes ago I started asset recovery, picked my guys up in a buzzard, landed next to the two vehicles at the la mesa police station and the morons drove away in the same vehicle. All i could do was look at the screen in stunned bewilderment.

The other day i was doing sightseer and had a hydra protecting hovering over me looking pretty while i did the mini game for the next briefcase to show up. On the map a buzzard could clearly be seen coming towards us. I started running towards an alleyway and the idiot follows me in hover mode and get blown out of the sky... BY A BUZZARD! I blew the guy up with my homing launcher, called my insurgent and completed the job with half the session chasing me.

So yeah i'd love to be able to start these jobs from my yacht or apartment and be a lazy a**hat because im worn out doing all the work to get these morons paid.

Absolutely 100% agree with every part of this post.

If I don't take part in every VIP mission it either 1) takes far too long or 2) doesn't get done.

I have been trying for two days to complete a heist finale with randoms. Predictably, I'm still trying.

Randoms are the biggest pain in the game.

No passive mode or hiding for VIPs. You wanna be a baller you better be able to hold your own.

I do. Exceptionally well. So why am I getting these guys paid when their greatest trait is dying or wasting my time? It hit me that I had gotten so many randoms money delivering/collecting briefcases while shooting down jets and buzzards that I may as well do the jobs alone. For a moment I didnt hire anyone but i changed my mind. I want to help people get money but they're going to have to work for it from now on.
