Best Muscle Car?

To me the Ruiner although I don't think it's the best looking muscle car handles really well and has great speed when fully tuned. For me it just has the perfect amount of wheel spin and sliding ability to handle sharp turns at high speeds.

My vote would be for the dukes... or blackfin... or tampa... maybe even the virgo... and the pheonix has its points... then again the hotknife... yeah i quite like many of the muscles.

+1 I don't own one online but I maxed one out in SP and they are a blast to drive. Every once in a while I'll steal one from a NPC to get somewhere I have to go and I'm always pleasantly surprised. They remind me of the newer Oracle that way. They both are great getaway cars right off the street.

My favorite though is the Sabre Turbo with all the gaudy custom stuff. Roll cage, wheelie bars, blower sticking out of the hood, high end wheels with black and red lettering custom tires, matte black and red paint, double side pipes. Slammed. It's my Death Machine (on xbox 360 that's the best I can do ;) ).

According to broughy, its still the sabre turbo custom. It has great handling for a muscle car and is only beaten by the pisswasser dominator in top speed. Its a beast in regular races, but watch out in stunt races like Duel. The sabre doesn't handle those corkscrew-y loop props very well.

It depends on who you're racing and the type of track.

As mentioned, the Sabre Turbo Custom and Dominator Racecar are both extraordinarily quick, but there are still certain tracks where I find the Blade more useful. I have 17 different Muscle cars, and I prefer to race Muscle cars and Sports Classics over anything else in the game. Oddly enough though, I sold my old regular Dominator and haven't acquired the Racecar variant. I would never part with my Dukes though, but it isn't frequently used for racing.

Then again, if you are racing against people who crash into everything or spend more time trying to take others out, you could probably do just as well with many of them aside from perhaps the Rat Truck, Hotknife, Voodoo, etc.

The Blade is still vastly underrated in my opinion; it's not that expensive to buy and the way it accelerates out of corners and tight areas is quite incredible compared to the others.

Yes! I love the blade too. I probably use it in races more than any of the others. I almost feel like i'm cheating sometimes because the handling is so superior. It doesn't even feel like you're driving a muscle car.

I 2nd that. I race the Blade, PissDominator and also have the Custom Sabre. If my life depended on winning a muscle race I'd use the Blade unless the course was all straights.

I love driving the Dominator, have by far more success with it than Sabre Custom and I dont like driving the Blade.

Not too much between the 3, I say test them out and see which one suits your driving style better, because they are all very different to drive.

I've had much success with the Blade on Duel.

The Dominator is also great, it's limits are slightly higher, but there's also a smaller margin for errors.

Is the Gauntlet god for racing?

Custome racing off YES if is the redwood one

The issue with the Sabre Turbo Custom is that it is insanely fast, but can be rather difficult to control and is prone to sliding too much when you least expect it. However, yes, if a track is mostly straights--you would be in a good position to use either it or the Dominator (Racecar). For me, the Dominator seems a bit easier to control than the Sabre, but the Blade has them both beat when it comes to taking corners and whilst driving in the rain. A Sabre Turbo in the rain can be quite fun, but a bit frustrating at times too.

I've tried to drive the BlackFin--it looks nice and I love classics, but I simply couldn't do much with it.

Agreed; the Gauntlet used to be quite competitive before spoilers made a difference, but it will generally be annihilated in races that use custom cars.

Yeah, this is the reason I have yet to purchase it. It looks great, but is quite expensive and certainly does not belong in the Sports class. Then again, R* has never been the best at sorting classes or caring about how each car stacks up against another during a race.

Not sure why they reclassed the Drift Tampa. It's hands-down my favorite "Muscle" car, even though they stuffed it into the overcrowed Sports class.

in term of Speed , laptimes , handling or look ?

well all in all I would say the Pißwasser Domi and the Redwood Gauntlet (I get along better with the latest , driving-wise)

the Sabre custom should still be the fastest though...

It would fit very nicely in the Muscle class too--it would be quite competitive (but by no means over-powered) against the top tier cars in the class. Sadly they will probably never place where it belongs. :(

I'm voting Dukes.

In terms of looks, I agree--I love it and would never sell it. It can be competitive under the right circumstances, but I don't want to add a spoiler to mine, so racing with it doesn't generally do me any good.

I haven't driven mine into a modshop in ages, but the low spoiler looks really good IMO. Not sure if different spoiler types matter but I gave a modded dominator a helluva run for his money until he quit or lagged out. He had 1500 some odd races under his belt and 1000+ wins

Anyone who wants a muscle car just for the best statistics doesn't deserve a muscle car.

Dominator Racecar's only value is in a straight line. Blade for if you have to make any kind of turn.

Dominator race car can demolish a blade in almost every track in good hands.

When was it re-classed? It's been in the Sports class since it was added to the game a few weeks ago.
