STORY Yuji lives in a house near to Glen Park, fighting for his cause independently, since he lives in a state where there is no news of other people, where the streets are empty and taken by enemies. He is introduced to an organization called V for Vinegar. Yuji's goal is the same of the organization, the fight for justice. Inside the organization, he receives the mission of caring for the young Mari, a very brave and cunning girl, and the two set off on a journey behind allies in an organization that will change their lives. As they pass through a critical state, Yuji and Mari will find and battle against different factions and enemies, each with a unique way to deal with them, facing enemies beyond hunger and lack of supplies. As the two struggle to survive, they must learn to trust each other and work together to achieve their goals, making story also focus on the bond formed by them. V for Vinegar is a story of love and redemption, with a highly visible focus on the theme "justice". CHARACTERS YUJI: A brutal survivor who lives alone in a house in Glen Park, Yuji spends the rest of his life fighting for justice. The knife is one of the ways that you have to pass by your enemies... The streets are empty and there is no one in the streets. Enjoy this advantage to explore the ambient. Besides the knife, you also can use the gun with silencer as a way to kill your enemies without being noticed. You also will have intense escapes and fantastic chases in V for Vinegar. Molotovs, grenades and sticky bombs can be used to kill a large number of enemies together in one place. The streets show the desperation of people panicking in the chaos. The suburban area of Los Santos is the most affected by gangs and thieves. Mari is not just a girl who needs protection. She helps as she can in confrontations against enemies. Drive-by missions also included in the MP. "If you try to rub this dirty dick on me again, I'll tear it off, take a picture and send to a deep web site, you moron." The player will need to interact with the ambient to find a way to go to the next level. The beta mission, available to download in DYOM website, were totally remade, so don't expect the same thing when you play the final version. Use your mind, create strategies and think on how to kill your enemies with the available resourses. San Fierro is a city with a strong military power.... The thieves has a bad accuracy. Still, you can't attack them without think. You should create a strategy and kill them using it. Another mission that you can use stealth to kill all the enemies. Enjoy every millisecond, because any failure can be the last one. The MP has only one escape route that you must follow. In the case of leaving it by mistake, try getting back in every way. The mist can be an advantage in stealth type of missions. Yuji and Mari, the protagonists. The story is focused in the bond formed by them. Before every gunfight, you need to explore the ambientation to find resources. The desert still has a nasty neighborhood, so be careful. THBP
V FOR VINEGAR FULL REVEAL: Click on the spoiler to see it. V FOR VINEGAR: FULL REVEAL Content of this manual 1. Introduction 2. Gameplay 3. Synopsis 3a. Characters 3b. Plot 4. Final considerations 1. INTRODUCTION V for Vinegar is a mission pack in the third person with elements of action/adventure and survival. It is developed by The Half-Blood Prince, and is expected to launch in 2016. The player controls Yuji through the state of San Andreas in a setting "almost apocalyptic" state in 2013 and your mission is to escort the young Mari to the base of an enemy organization. The player must defend himself against hunters, policemen, soldiers and members of other organizations, using weapons and methods of improved infiltration like stealth. The player can also combine what he find on the street to form strategies to pass by enemies that are forward. V for Vinegar won the most promising MP Prize in DYOM Awards 2015. 2. GAMEPLAY V for Vinegar uses a third-person perspective. The fight develops primarily on hand-to-hand. While weapons can be searched, your ammo is scarce. It was assured that, in V for Vinegar, will never result in the player start running and shooting automatically and randomly. Health does not regenerate, forcing the player to be more conservative. The emphasis on exposing the fragility of the player helps to increase pressure to survive in a precarious world. The player controls Yuji, while Mari, controlled by AI, stay close to Yuji for much of the MP. But V is Vinegar is not "a big escort mission". Mari is a supporting character instead of a fragile victim: for example, she can warn Yuji about enemies getting close and help him throwing molotovs and grenades at the enemies. Mari could die, but can also fight to a certain level, using weapons or her cunning to escape danger. During the game, the player is forced to confront different types of enemies, from police to hunters on the street. Each type of enemy the AI has very similar, but not equal. For example: hunters, who are street thieves, attack you randomly and have worst life and accuracy. Police and soldiers form tactics that the MP himself creates to ambush the player, with better life and accuracy. Unlike Long Theft Auto, players can interact with objects in the environment because of the background story, rather than a little progression. For example, in open beta that was released not long ago, Mari reaches a board about zombies, and asks Yuji if it was true. So dialogue, interacting with the ambient are common in MP. As the player is in a setting with empty streets, no shops or cars (unless the abandoned ones), there will be no type of monetary system where you can spend money buying weapons, clothes or food. Instead of it, the player is required to exploit the ambient in search of resources. If you do not explore "enough", will have more work to defeat the enemies in the confrontations that await in the continuation of your journey. In addition to the events of the main story, there will be mini-games where the player can use to exploit the scenario to find new resources. The player can find along the way, as well as weapons, health and armor, bags full of money and books with notes, which serve as a kind of trophy for those who find all the existing amount the state. The difficulty of V for Vinegar is also new to the MP. The player who is used to follow objectives by checkpoints and markings will have problems at the beginning of the story. This is because, as seen in the beta, the scenarios are closed, and there are no markings such as arrows, checkpoints or points on the map to guide the player, causing the player himself must create their own strategies to move to the next part, following dialogue of the character of the story, which can help the player to think. Examples: "I think we can go through this door here", "I need an access card to the door," "we'll have to kill all these enemies alone", among others. 3. SYNOPSIS 3a. CHARACTERS Yuji is a japanese immigrant who lives alone; while Mari is a very clever and sarcastic student, but did not have the chance to explore the precarious state. Other characters include Mari's and Yuji's partner, Albert; a policeman who bother Yuji, Harvey; Clark, a mysterious friend of Mari; Kanae, Yuji's older sister; Ben, Yuji's uncle who lives alone on a desert town; the brothers Ronald and Roger, allies of the organization; Yuji's best friend, Leonard, and his former beloved, Lunna; and Rob, leader of a militia of weapons called "The Cartel". 3b. PLOT V for Vinegar begins in the suburban area of Los Santos, four months after the start of the riot. Yuji lives alone in a house near the Glen Park. To pay a debt that his father had with Harvey, a corrupt cop, Yuji sets out on a mission to deal drugs with gangsters, and meets a man who introduces him to an organization called "V for vinegar", and ends up as a member of this organization. In it, it is responsible for being the bodyguard of a young woman named Marianna (aka Mari). Mari is the most active member of the organization, and her ideas are considered precious by the other members. So they leave for clues of the enemy organization's headquarters, called "The Blackout". Of course, things turn to worse when they get to know more of the state, and along the way the two will face enemies from street thieves to soldiers trained to kill anyone who invade their base. V for Vinegar will focus entirely on the different meanings of the word "justice". 4. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS V for Vinegar brings new ways of gameplay and storyline for DYOM MPs. The revolutionary content of the MP is due to the same genre games inspirations, bringing lots of fun for who's playing, not having a boring content to the player: the player always wants to pursue, to know what will happen next. The climax was used to those who are playing be shocked with the events of history as the deaths of characters or traumatic events, often appealing to the emotional side. Realism is also something greatly enhanced, making it impossible to see cars or people on the street and having elements that make the player think he really is in that fictional world, and feel the same emotions as the characters. V for Vinegar will be released for DYOM v8 in 2016, with the worldwide release of all missions at the same day. THBP
@Pledge of Chaos: Thanks man. You won't regret, I promise. @Bender: Well I hope I can release at 2016. This is the prevision. But I can't take more than a year to make it. As you say, most part of the missions are hard to design, and I take at least 2 days to design one with gameplay. Even with the life out there to disturb me, I'll do everything to launch it to you guys in 2016, even in the last day of december. So don't worry. EDIT: a more accurate prediction would be the second half of 2016. But it's too early to predict day, month or even season...
